Hi to all guys,
Recently, I ported my number on to 3(UK) network. But I found when the signal changes from 3G to 2G, my phone will be considered as roaming. Then the DATA(GPRS or 3G) is disconnected.
3G signal coverage of 3(UK) is poor, and roaming ICON suddenly appears and suddenly disappears even when I am walking on the street.
Any way to disable roaming detect function, so that I can be online all the time. Thanks.
Ben
Hi all,
TL;DR: Does anyone have issues with lots of reception loss in areas with less-than-stellar signal on the I9305 (LTE or 3G or GSM)?
Tomorrow, I want to take my S3 to Vodacom (my carrier in South Africa) so that they will hopefully check the thing and fix / replace it.
The problem I'm having is that my signal drops ( (/) "No Access" sign at the top where the signal strength should be) whenever I'm in a low signal area while others have continuous signal (my partner with his I9300 will still be able to make calls).
I've tested with and without LTE on (LTE is spotty everywhere), on 3G (set it to WCDMA Preferred in one of the secret menu's), or GSM/2G (both via the secret menu and the normal one). There are places where I can put my hand over the back of the phone and within 5 seconds, the signal will disappear completely, until I take my hand away.
For reference, I use No Signal Alert to notify me, mostly because when I got my phone, the bad LTE reception caused frequent radio hangs, which would leave my phone without signal until I checked (hours) later, which forced me to switch to "WCDMA Preferred".
Cheers,
LV
I know that Cricket is part of the AT&T network but im having problems with my unlocked international version of the s6 (SM-G920i) . Yesterday i installed the sim card But i have low signal strength (2 bars) on the Network mode.LTE/WCDMA/GSM. this is the only mode that gives me 4g and it drains battery really fast; last night it drained about 20% of battery without any activity. WCDMA/GSM mode gives me a high signal strength But my internet is H+ instead of 4g.
how do i fix it?
is there something im doing wrong?
Currently I am on Jio 4g roaming in other state. I am facing signal issues. There are frequent drops in signal while it is present on other phones at the same time. Any solutions?
All z1s have this problem. This phone isn't good for remote areas/ the areas with weak signals.
And its jio's poor service too
So nothing can be done?
Yes
Is there a way to check signal strength of all neighbouring towers.
I know we can see this info for the current service provider you are using (the SIM you have in your phone).
I'm interested in knowing signal strength of other service provider's towers.
When we do manual network selection it shows a list of all neighbouring service providers but not their signal strength.
