I think it is better to try run stock ROM, to be sure that your phone is alive.
If you more or less advanced user you can try to install custom ROM
for ex:

try to search on XDA by this file name.
Here is instruction, also taken from somwhere in XDA
4. Flash a recovery
Switch off your phone and go into bootloader. You will now see, highlighted in pink, UNLOCKED. Tog et into the bootloader, power down, then hold Volume Down and press Power button at the same time.
Plug your phone to the computer via USB cable, highlight fasboot and press power button to confirm. On your PC go to C:/android. Press Shift and right click. Press "Open Command Window here"
then type "fastboot devices". Your devices serial number should show up.
Then type in fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-vivo.img (assuming you did not change the name of the recovery image. If you did change it, type what you changed it too and do not forget the .img at the end
After a few seconds, the recovery should have been flashed to your phone.

I need help with my Htc one 802w dual sim China unicom

Hi everyone!! I bought my htc one 802w China unicom version 1 month ago. After reading all the threats and documenting to do the Root, i did it. Now my phone is running and working fine with also google apps. My question is, now i want to update to the version 2.30.1402.1 but i can't, in Cwm say that is failed.
I read that i need to instal a nandroid backup, flash the stock recovery, lock the boot loader and then update via Ota, and root again the device.
Can someone help me, because i don´t know the commands to flash the stock recovery or where should i do it?
Thanks for the help!!

I live in this thread but i didn't find how to flash the stock recovery to the phone. If you can tell me how and the commands that i need to write i will really apreciate it. Thanks ^^
Is all written on first page. Including link to stock recovery. Why lie to me ? Read please.
Sent from my HTC 802w Dual Sim
I dont lie!! Im just new with Android system and i want to know how to do it. I download the link of stock recovery 4.2.1. Is something like m7-stock-802.img.
so should i do is fastboot flast recovery m7-stock-802w.img and then lock the bootloader (fastboot oem lock) , and instal the update from the phone?
My question is: This stock recovery file what i do with it. I copy it to the sd card and flash it trought the CMW? or i open the command window and do the fasboot flash stock recovery file?
What i want is to be able to do the update to the 2.30.1401.1
It's not because i dont read, it's because i dont understand very good how to do the things and im afraid to brick my phone.
Thanks i really appreciate your help.
Hope this helps:

Hi Yago,
I dont have your phone, I have the International One...but I think I can help you out.
If you phone works the same as the International One, and my old SensationXE and Desire before that then all you need is the recovery to be installed. You dont need to re-lock your bootloader. The steps I would do are:
1) Download the Stock Recovery (m7-stock-802w.img - if that is what it is called)
2) Switch off the phone and boot it into Bootloader (Power & Vol Down - if same as International)
3) Connect the phone to your computer with usb cable.
4) Open a command window in the folder where the Stock Recovery file is placed
5) Type the following: fastboot flash recovery m7-stock-802w.img (This will flash Stock Recovery to your phone)
6) Reboot phone
7) Try OTA update again
This should work for you, though you may need to reapply root afterwards or try a OTA Root Keeper app to preserve your root. If after the update you wanted to go back to CWM then you can follow steps 1-6 again but with the CWM Recovery file instead.
Hope this helps!
Thanks!! As soon as I arrive back home I will try to do it and later will post here with my result. Maybe like this works because I want to update always the phone. The only reason why I unlock the phone is because I live in china and here we don't have the google apps. So is really annoying be reading in my Chinese that is not very good. Really I appreciate the help. Againg thank you very much
I just came back home and I flash the stock recovery. I typed fastboot flash .... And rooted the phone. Then I download using the software updates and download to the phone the new version 2.30.1402.1. I proceed to install but when the phone reboot went to recovery ( say entering recovery) but didn't go into recovery. Then start again the phone without installing the new software version. I don't know what I did wrong or what I need to do. Also I tried to download the ota file from the Htc one 802w thread but when I went to CMW I couldn't installed.
Any suggestions??
I will really appreciate the help!!!
Have you tried to boot into Recovery from boot menu?
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes!! when i do the fastboot flash recovery m7-stock-recovery.img if i go to boot menú and from there to recovery doesn´t enter.
the thing is that i would like to be able to update the phone when i want.
Now i just when back to the cwm802w.img because from there i can go to recovery mode. In other thread i doewnload the OTA file 2.30.1402.1 but when i am trying to installed from the recovery it always fails or don´t find the file.
It´s really strange...
The stock recovery is for the 4.2.1 and now im on the 4.2.2. Maybe can be because of this and i need to find a stock recovery versión of the 4.2.2??
It sounds like the Stock Recovery image you have is not the correct one for ur phone. You should be able to go into Recovery from bootloader and see the warning triangle.
I would try to get another version of the recovery file from somewhere. Then it should work no problems.
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
this is stock recovery for 2.25 OS. Since i don't know what is your OS version i assumed is 2.25. >>> http://d-h.st/dKR <<< flash with command : flash recovery recovery.img
This are the caracteristics of my phone.

I download the file that criss send to me and i flash it. Then the phone was like the first day. Until there good. Then i went to settings/about/software updates and download the version 2.30.1402.1. When i was downloaded i procees to installed.
the phone reboot and at the beggining shows a symbol like is updating and start installing, but in the middle a warning triangle appears and stay there. I need to hold power+volum down to restart the phone and nothing happend.
What i did is
1 download the stock revovery
2 reboot the phone into bootmode
3 flash the recovery image : fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
4 reboot the phone
5 go to update the software
6 install the version 2.30.1402.1
Wait for 20 min and the warning triangle with exclamation symbol doesnt disapear
Should i lock the bootloader to do this?? Yesterday they told me that i dont need but who knows....
Ok, as silly as this sounds but keep rebooting you phone / updating it and it will do it eventually. There are quite a few people that have said the same thing and they said just keep trying and after the 6rh or 7th try it should work.

[Q] Can't get into fastmode

Hello,
(my english is not very well, sorry for that)
Because the vibration engine was to loud, i wanted to reset my HTC One (delete root and lock it again) to send it to HTC.
I did something wrong and now my HTC One is in a Boot-Loop.
When i hold the power button and the volume down button i can get into "Menu" with Fastbood. And i can turn it on.
But my PC can't find it anymore. I tried it on 3 different Pc's and one Mac.
The Recovery doesn't work (i come into the boot-loop).
I'm working since 20 working hours to solve this problem, but i can't fix it...
Could you please, please help me?
Thank you very much!
Best wishes

So i played Viper One 2.6 on my One. But Fastboot doesn't work at all.
I'll try to fix my driver problem.... or is there an other way to get back on stock and lock my One?
Can you flash TWRP and then boot into TWRP ?
Also, fastboot only works in fastboot moder in bootloader. Not in recovery and NOT in OS.
ADB works only in recovery and when you are in OS. NOT in fastboot boot mode.

well if you want a relatively stock experience i would suggest going with ARHD 51, its basically the same as stock but a little speedier without the bloat

no I have to go to Stock because of warrenty.
My vibration engine is much louder than normal. And my second Mic doesn't work.
I don't know the warranty of your countries, but in Germany it has to be stock when I'll bring it back to my electronics retailer
At the moment i just install all possible in SDK and I hope that it will work.
Thank you for your help

Then type fastboot erase cache
I was such an Idiot.

But when I update to 4.2.2. the progress always hang up at i think 30%.
I startet it 3 times new, but its always the same failure. I'll keep the One over night on the charger and I hope, that in the morning the One is on 4.2.2 and I can update on 4.4.2.

I'm having some problems here... I'm trying to help a friend flash Android 5.0 GPE on his HTC One M7. We are having some problems here.
The device is unlocked, S-ON. But we managed to wipe the whole device, so now there is no OS on it.
I guess I have to have S-OFF in order to flash a new rom.
How do we do this?

You don't need to s-off and you can't without a functioning Rom anyway
You need to push a Rom to the phone using adb in recovery. Put your Rom in your fastboot folder on your pc and rename it something easy to type like "rom.zip"
Now with the phone on the twrp home screen and connected with usb in the command window type
Code:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard
The command window will appear unresponsive until the push completes (several minutes) when it's done install the Rom with twrp recovery.

You're probably missing the OS. You're not going to get the original recovery back but you can download a stock image and flash it in recovery to get an OS.

The problem is the lack of an OS to boot and so it just hangs at the HTC screen. Either a) flash another stock or b) assuming it's been less than 30 days, take it back to wherever you bought it and complain it's broke and feign ignorance. You may also try restoring to factory defaults and installing the stock again. Sounds like you may have ****ed your partitions doin whatever it is you was doin.

Awesome sauce.
So far no method has been developed. Contact Sprint and ask to unlock your phone is my only answer.

Try again, maybe you didn't copied the token in the right way.
i tried like 10 times
anyone ?
Keep trying it does sound like you are not copying the Token properly, I know I have had trouble with that in the past....make sure you follow the instructions EXACTLY and you won't go wrong.
Don't forget to hit thanks...

I don't think he would even get an unlock_code.bin if the token wasn't copied correctly...?
Maybe a bad emmc, Ive seen a lot of phones not being able to unlock because of a bad emmc. Other symptoms: phone not rebooting in ruu mode after "fastboot oem rebootRUU" but simply rebooting the bootloader, various emmc related errors when pulling the logs from "fastboot oem dmesg / fastboot oem last_dmesg", not having the bootloader unlock screen after flashing the unlock_code.bin but rebooting the bootloader with no changes.
here is what i see in bootloader "

Your device is S-OFF, so you don't need to unlock bootloader but if you still want use this tutorial: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475914

It seems you're in a bootloop.
Press Vol-Down and Power for at least 20 seconds (sometimes even 50 seconds or more) and it will switch off and boot into bootloader. Now you can release both buttons. From here you can boot again into recovery.
Did you made a clean install? Wiping everything before flashing? Wiping cache and dalvik after flashing? I got such strange behaviour with "dirty flashes" only.
And take care: Your device is "M7_WLS". Most custom roms are for "M7-UL", they will NOT fit for your device. Look for the correct custom rom for your device.

Hold volume down and power until it goes into hboot, from there try to boot in recovery, if you can't boot in recovery try to flash twrp again.
