Hope you'll understand these lines bro
I did the error too, try via flashtool to flash an older ftf of your choice for your phone in order to get it booting,
if it boots, refers to DooMlord's post > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386405
Flash his old kernel; boot, use his exploit to root, then flash his other kernel; boot,
install the dual recovery by Philz > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2452982
Then reffer to this page > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565850
Flash the flashable file via CMW but don't reboot, just power off and after that use flashtool to flash the stripped ftf.
Hope I helped
PS: Doing that I get stuck, once at Sony's logo, once during the Bootloader's loading.
But with what I wrote before you normally should be able to boot it
All the credits goes to the devs, not me!
(Hit the thanks button if I helped ^^)

Well, there are tons of topics that talks about bricking. You could check some of them in order to see how other people have solved this problem.
There is also a guide in this forum that might help you:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12442257
If you can't boot in xRecovery mode, you could try to repair the phone using PC Companion.
ATTENTION: Using restoring applications may cause data loss.
1.Download flashtool
2.Download stock rom image from http://www.multiupload.com/XLV6AA41DB
3.Download baseband suitable to your phone from (http://www.mediafire.com/?d3pobqqc3py66)
4.Place both files to flashtool/firmwares folder
5.Install drivers from flashtool/drivers folder
6.(Dont connect your mobile to pc),Now click flash in flashtool and flash rom first
7.Flash baseband
8.Disconnect and restart
9.Done

guys, if let's say i installed a custom rom, and without having the kernel which is needed for the rom and i cant get into recovery mod, is there anyway to repair this? and also i didn't unlock the bootloader.. any help?? please? one more thing, the debugging mode is off. so i can't transfer files through flashtool. That happens because the custom rom cannot be booted up and therefore i cant select debugging mode on~

My fellow Malaysian, just which ROM you are trying to install? many custom ROMs doesn't need custom kernel, so you don't have to install and unlock the bootloader!
Since you have installed the custom kernel( assuming it required the custom kernel), use flashtool to install the custom kernel for it to work!
Please remember for custom kernel like aNa, you need to unlock the bootloader, pls check the date of manufacturing first, Otherwise you may break your phone

Hi all...
My friend sent his X8 to a phone shop to get it updated to android 2.3.7 and ended up with a bricked phone cause by that phone shop.
Now, which according to him stuck at the white "Sony Ericsson" logo...Which i know is a soft brick and most probably can be saved by flashing it with PCC or SEUS or FlashTool.
I have ask him to flash it with SEUS or FlashTool, but not successful, still stuck on the SE logo, i doesn't know weather he do it wrongly or does not has any patient...
I gonna buy this phone from my friend, and repair the phone myself.
I want to ask u guys is there any other reason for the phone to stuck at the SE logo other than bricked phone? Could it be a hardware prob?
8/6/2012 UPDATE:
Just now my fren turn on the X8, it stuck at the white "Sony Ericsson" text, and after a moment, the phone reboot itself and stuck at there again and reboot itself again and again...
guys, based on the latest update from my friend, can this phone be saved?
And do share some experience if u do encounter such prob...
9/6/2012 UPDATE:
This morning i trying to flash my phone again...
I flash it with android 1.6 stock ROM (1.3.A.0.62) and it would boot up normally...
I also try to update the phone from 1.3.A.0.62 to 2.1.1.A.0.6 by using PCC, but also remain the same...
Then i flash it with FlashToool using 2.1 stock ROM (2.1.1.A.0.6 and 2.1.1.C.0.0) it would ended up like this see the video below
My X8 with 2.1 stock rom:

maybe you flash wrong kerne dude!
maybe you can try this :
flash downgrade ftf..like x8 generic and you got your phone on 2.1
then root, unlock bootloader..
ow yeah, you can install recovery from Flash tool..
next
flash ics kernel, backup
factory reset, flash ROM
Thanks for your quick reply...
how can I root, unlock bootloader install recovery from Flash tool factory reset, flash ROM... etc.. since now I can't get into ClockworkMod Recovery mode when I press the Back button before Sony Ericsson logo during boot up????
Before you flash into ics, what rom you're using?
maybe you can flash it first .
Or
Like I say..flash the x8 generic..so you downgrade your phone
After that you can to root etc

I've read your link, but.. I still can't understand how to copy files into "system/bin and system/xbin" since I can't get into "ClockworkMod Recovery" when I boot up the phone, pls help step by step if is possible... thanks~~~
Have you succeeded in unlocking you're bootloader.. if yes..
you can try flashing the kernel again..
I would recommend iscreemdx with alfs kernel..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672477
If you haven't unlocked you're bootloader then flash back the stock rom using .Ftf file of our x8/w8 stock rom here
http://sony-w8.blogspot.com/2012/05/release200412-flashable-file-for-w8e16i.html?m=1
Hit tanx if it helps..
By the walking Walkman..
okay...
if you're still confuse, downgrade your phone!
its last option
downgrade into 2.1 - download this file from files crop X8 E15i 2.1.1.C.0.0._un.ftf
root your phone by flash tool..
then install xrecovery by clicking cross icon on flashtool
OR
download this file (password=cintaindonesia) and extract in your SDcard
after that copy paste three files(busybox, chargemon, xrecovery.tar) in system\bin
and you will get xrecovery
after that
unlock bootloader using flashtool OR s1tool
Flash the latest ICS kernel
backup
factory reset, wipe data, etc
Flash ROM
done!

I also tried SUS but it refuses to update saying that due to the phone having modified firmware.

Reread and try again, which shouldn't need prompting.

I used to have the same issue last week and I finally succeed respecting the step by step from Androxyde.
One Advice : Try to redownload the FTF fiel or try another one (from another country).
I personnaly had succeess using the FTF from UK (and I am from another country) and no issue at all.
Good luck :fingers-crossed:

Then you're obviously doing something wrong or missed a step from the picture tutorial.

Just try CM or PAC, those roms work fine. There was another case on here of somebody who had the same problem when flashing a MAHDI rom.
Just read the thread of the rom before you start flashing, or at least read the last 5-10 pages so you know what the status of a rom is about.
Hope you get a nice new rom on your phone! I'm using the CM10.1 29.10.2013 build from ubberlaggydarwin for a long time now without ANY problems, just working perfectly, it's here:

Otherwise you might try FreeXperia roms. Up to you. Enjoy.

Maybe something wrong in the .zip-file. Happens when you try flashing a ROM you haven't fully downloaded
