Fiio E07k USB DAC - Motorola Atrix HD

Would fiio E07k work with atrix hd usb port? If not, can I update my atrix to a newer version of android so it does?
Everything on my atrix is stock, never rooted it.
Thank you

Just use the headphone jack

Doing that already, wanted to bypass the built in sound chip.

Well, the car dock is doing USB to audio conversion. It has a tiny PCB inside that passes through the +5 and GND for charging but has a D/A so its USB connector in the back has audio L and R where D+ and D- would normally be.

[Q] Host USB on Droid 4

Does Droid 4 have Host USB capability? In Lapdock it should but what about other methods.
Theoretically Droid 3 didn't have HostUSB functionality, but when you did connect it to Lapdock or HD Dock with USB the ports were supported and there were even app for supporting flash drives. The only with ancestor was that USB didn't have power so you couldn't use cables that have microUSB/USB to connect devices.
droid 4 will do usb host with a few caveats.
It will only do fat32 formated flash drives.
you need to power the drive off another device.
basically you need a usb otg (micro male on one end, usb female on the other) and a usb hub that uses an ac adaptor. The hub with power cord provides the power for the device, and the OTG cable is for the data. This can also be achieved using a powered y cable in place of the hub, but you would need to have the power-only usb port plugged in to a power source.
edit: link to y cable image for better explanation

Has anybody tried Remote Release with the Droid 4? It does Canon DSLR and normally works with Galaxy S2 and 3 without rooting.
Using a USB OTG cable I've connected my Canon DSLR but I had now joy unfortunately...it doesn't recognise anything. Also I've tried keyboard and mouse but that doesn't seem to be working either. Am I missing something

Thanks, I've seen this already. I guess what I was looking for is to understand whether everything OTG needs power or just things like keyboard/mouse/pendrive - things that actually consume it. TBH the DSLR camera itself is not actually being charged or anything, it is just DATA, so I was sort of hoping that I can avoid.
Out of all the devices i have tried all have needed external power... prior to the purchase of an HD docking station I just used a powered USB hub with an otg cable....

I think I've made an assumption that it would behave similar to my android tablet, just plug in the pendrive and it's all good. I have defo came across devices that don't need external power, especially for a camera that doesn't take power.

i think these are not compatible with n7000, and they are probably for older/other devices which dont have 3,5mm output. Samsung came with normal earphones with 3,5mm jack, and have a regular 3,5mm output ofcourse.
Maybe there is a way how to connect these (with soldering iron, and other tools) , but it is definetly not easy and not cheaper than a noramal headphones.
you mean something like these: http://www.daydeal.com/home.php?cat=682
Yes this is exactly what i meant

How about via to hdmi or dvi t hdmi? Do they both work?

I don't think you can go HDMI to displayport with a cheap passive adapter. You need an expensive active adapter. HDMI to DVI may work as long as it is single and not dual link dvi.
Sorry, I wasn't understanding your question earlier...
What I would try is to use a known working mhl adaptor for the Note 2 first then plug that to the HDMI to DVI adaptor. In their theory it should work. There's some DVI adaptors on Amazon you can try workout breaking the bank.

MHL adapter to micro usb + magnetic cable at the same time?

Hi guys! Have anyone tried this setup? While connected to MHL adapter the charging is not enough and I want to connect mu magnetic charging cable at the same time with the mhl adapter. Is it safe?

Yes, work in this way. This was recommended to me here on XDA.
Thanks! Will try that later. I'm scared that this might overcharge our z1.

As far as I can tell the MHL doesn't charge the handset

It was not the case but some MHL have to be plugged in to charger to let HDMI working. He just want plug the phone under charging and use the MHL cable.
