Hello,
I'm charging my phone for the first time
and there is some kind of Sony promo slideshow running in loop.
How I can switch this slideshow off ?
Is it photo or video demo?
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium

somehow app called Retail Demo was running
i went to all apps and cleared all data for this app and now i don't have this slideshow anymore running

I read in a post that you can enable 720p recording on this phone with a mod. Could someone please post the link? I've searched but their for other phones.
Who said it? And can you link to the post?

There was a 720p mod for this device but for CM9 if I recall

Even if there may be a mod, it'll still be horrible. Have you not seen the motion blur of the camera, even when not recording?
Why does the video play in landscape mode when i record in non-landscape mode? The screen is not full and I must take other third-party app.
Here is one pic.

I think that's how this app is made. It has only landspace UI mode in playback - most likely that's the reason.
That's shi**y .

Use another video player that might support it.

I am using stick it.
But why does sony do such things?
It has no sense.

It was created for movies and movies are generally watched landscape mode

Is it possible to do slow motion video on the Z1?? Would be nice...
Slow motion video isn't available on the z1, as far as I know I've never known a Sony android phone to have this feature but then again I might be wrong.

The chipset and camera module is capable of doing a lot but like you said it's what Sony decide to implement into their firmwares.

5K videos? 4K you meant maybe?
Tbh, Z1/XZU can do [email protected]
Maybe we could look forward to getting 4K support with 4.3?

no, you can't record a slow-motion video but you can edit it with your pc later and decrease the speed of the video
You can install the ported app from Z(1 or 2 i don't remember) which includes slow-motion
I try timeshift video but say that camera is not usable

Snapdragon 400 cannot process UHD or Slo-mo vids because it lacks a core dedicated for it unlike the SD 800 and above series which can
Htc one mini record slow motion video and have a worse hardware than xsp
