(Read this: download twrp from here then boot into fastboot (bootloader) copy that recovery file to where your adb and fastboot is stored, then type this in fastboot flash recovery (recovery name if you long enter little of the word then press tab) press enter and you should have twrp installed)
Hey there, Go onto HTC Sensation XL Android Development, Download Kingcobra or XL3.6 or XL 4.0
then copy rom to sdcard(internal) make sure to take boot.img out of the zip to where you stored ADB + Fastboot, flash rom on phone, then reboot into bootloader by doing Reboot -> bootloader (make sure pluged into computer) do the command fastboot flash boot boot.img then wait until it says Finished! then do fastboot reboot
And bam you have got Sense 4.1 Sense 4.0 or Sense 3.6
Thank you!
Thank you very much JustPlayingHard for your help it works now
but i was wondering if i could have the original stock rom?

Have to tryed this from the faq?
Q: I have unlocked HBOOT 2.00.000 using the procedure at HTCDV.com and have installed a custom recovery and flash custom ROM xxxxxx, but it now hangs at the white HTC screen and won’t boot.
A: With the unlocked HBOOT 2.00.0000 the boot partition is mounted ReadOnly in Recovery mode, thus when you attempt to flash a custom ROM, the boot.img is not correctly updated.
You must manually extract the boot.img from the rom’s zip file and flash it in FASTBOOT USB mode.
1. Since you have an unlocked HBOOT 2.00.0000, then you have installed the Android SDK with adb.exe and fastboot.exe. Open the rom’s zip file and extract and copy the boot.img file to the same directory where adb.exe and fastboot.exe are installed.
2. Boot the phone into HBOOT by holding the Volume Down key and the Power key.
3. On the HBOOT menu select the FASTBOOT option.
4. Connect your phone to the PC.
5. From the PC type:
fastboot devices
6. You should see your device serial number output to the PC screen.
7. From the PC type:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
8. You should see the results of the boot.img being written.
9. From the PC type:
fastboot reboot
10. The phone should then reboot normally.

Have you got it working?
If not you could try flashing the boot.img. get the boot.img from the cm7 folder then but it in your android folder with your adb stuff. Then flash it from fastboot using commands.
Fastboot flash boot.img
I think that's what you would type? You might want to check.

The answer is in the second post of this thread!
I have a root HTC Vivid ..
And now i need to flash a custom rom on it
But my phone is in S-ON
is it need to be s-off to flash a rom ??
And can any one explain what is S-OFF and S-ON ...
S Is the security lock on the phone I believe that is right some one correct me if I'm wrong , but some roms and kernels you can flash with s on via the bootloader cmd on a pc , but if you are s off you can do it all in recovery on the phone its self .
Any rom that can flash with S-ON ??
And is there any way to know what is stats of phone , is it s-OFF or ON ??

NEVER USE ROM MANAGER!!! I have only heard of it causing problems and bricks...
You don't have to be s-off...just do as I say
1) Download rom
2) Extract boot.img from rom
3) Flash boot.img
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
4) Flash rom in recovery
To get in recovery:
1) Remove battery
2) Put battery back in
3) Hold power and volume down to get to hboot
4) Select recovery by using volume to navigate and power to select

blitzed htc vivid on stockish kernel
any rom can be flashed with s-on.. just download kozmick kernel RC1 and the rom, flash the rom, then WITHOUT BOOTING UP, go to fastboot and
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img

How did you install BlackRose from the PC since you only have an unlocked bootloader?
I really don't think BlackRose is installed, so you need to extract the boot.img file from the ARHD zip file and flash it manually in FASTBOOT USB mode.
Please send me some links on what to download
I'm lost here
thanks

You have everything downloaded that you need.
Open the ARHD zip file and there will be a file called boot.img. Extract and copy that file to the directory on our PC where you installed the Android SDK tools that you used to unlock your bootloader.
Reboot your phone to the bootloader screen like you do for recovery but select the FASTBOOT menu option instead of RECOVERY and then connect your phone to the PC with your USB cable.
Open a command window on the PC and set the working directory to where you installed the Android SDK tools and then type the command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
The reboot your phone and it should boot.
I apply the fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin again but i do not get the confirn screen as before. I believe do to the fact that the android system is no longer present.
I thing it's true that my bootloader is still locked, but how do i unlock without the end screen to say yes and no?
Help please http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

You'll need three things :
ADB
Fastboot
A custom ROM of your personal liking, I recommend Android Revolution HD but it's up to you
For now we simply need you to connect your phone in fastboot mode and use the following command :
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Once you have the results post them here.
You need to unlock bootloader again, after that you can get stock using these methods (which require S-OFF). How you unlock your bootloader and wether you can or can't get S-OFF depends on that information we need you to post.
hi all
i was tried to flash my M7 from 4.3 to 4.4.2
downloaded the OTA update 4.19.401.7
contained :
DATA
META-INF
PATCH
System
Firmware.zip
Fotaboot
Skin_fota
the wrong step is : extracted the Firmware.zip file only
and flashed it only by :
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
now the phone is bricked, only boot to the HTC logo and black screen
when i try to press power bottom, the (Back & Home) led blinking
i was boot to bootloader and copy this information to you :
***LOCKED***

i was try to rename the OTA file to Firmware.zip and flash it again, but always failed
i was try to flash downgrade Firmware (3.62.401.1) also failed
i was try to flash RUU.exe (1.28.401.7) from the Fastboot screen and from the rebootRUU screen also failed
i was try to wipe and re-flash the same Firmware.zip file, it's flashed with no failed steps, but still bricked and no system to boot into
can you help me ?
My suggestion:
You are acting nervous, don´t know, from where you got the solutions you´ve tried. Your phone is not bricked if you have access to your bootloader as you wrote but yo can´t flash the needed things with a locked bootloader. Would be better to ask before every step, if you don´t know what to do.
1st you can send your device to HTC for repair...i think you have to pay for that
or 2nd (read and think about the warranty):
Unlock your bootloader via HTC.Dev. http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter
With locked bootloader it won´t run. If you have access to your bootloader, you are able to flash a recovery via Fastboot-USB and have access to adb. With S-On you can´t run the RUU you´ve tried, because you can´t downgrade your phone. S-Off would be the solution, but at the moment you can´t get it with your high HBoot version.
I think, the correct firmware is ready on your phone and you should
- unlock your bootloader with your Unlock_code.bin from HTC.Dev, flash it via Fastboot-USB fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin, accept the message on your phone, then
- flash TWRP 2.6.3.3 m7 recovery via fastboot, fastboot erase cache then fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
- sideload Maximus Rom or ARHD 52.0 via adb in recovery adb sideload HTC_One_-_MaximusHD_32.0.0.zip (if other rom, you have to replace the correct filename of the zip)
- or sideload the stock odexed rom 4.19.401.9 from the same download area at ARHD for the One
- check the MD5 sum before sideload! http://www.flashplayerpro.com/MD5Checksum/downloadMD5Checksum.htm
(even saw, the links of ARHD are down at the moment - the server problems of mike 1986 are not gone. Try it tomorrow or read the last sites of the thread to find alternative links),
- wipe data, system, dalvik cache and cache in recovery (not sd card)
- install the rom.zip via recovery, reboot into bootloader and
- flash the boot.img copied out of the rom via fastboot. fastboot erase cache then fastboot flash boot boot.img then fastboot erase cache
Then your device hopefully will boot again.
If the steps of flashing roms with TWRP are after reading this not really known, read the FAQ before.
If you are able to go to bootloader then give it a try. Unlock bootloader then try to flash firmware.

I'm not entirely sure if stock recovery will read an OTG cable + stick, but worth a try:
if you haven't unlocked yet, get yourself an OTG cable + stick, put the OTA.ZIP (yes all of it, not just firmware), on the stick. connect it to your phone, and reboot into stock recovery, then press POWER + VOLUP (and hope it sees the otg), and use the "apply from sdcard" option to install the OTA.
