[Q] Newbie : Higher ROM OS

Hi
the andorid world is a new for me
i have a rooted LG BLACK with a ROM from my Cellular (2.2.2)
Can i flash a higher ROM , like 4.X.X ?
if i need hebrew on the ROM how can i install it ?
i know its some basic question , but please let me know

Since you rooted your phone, your warranty is now voided. Basically, you can find few roms in the development section. First thing you need to do is install ClockworkMod from the market. You can further more tutorials and details here http://FORUM.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487105

yes you need to reinstall your apps again. flash a rooted rom to be able to control your phone the way you want.
once your rom is rooted and flash a new rooted rom, then you don't have to worry on rooting again. Flash a stock rom then you have to find a way to root it.
All apps have to be reinstalled. installing CWM and TITANIUM BACKUP will make your life easier. You will learn as you go along...

I'm new here and don't know what ROM and ROOT exactly is.
can someone please explain to me what is ROM, ROOT and the difference beteen them?
Is someone can recommand me a ROM and ROOT (if needed) to me Xperia X8 that looks like ICS and tell me how to install it??

Rom is a custom firmware for your phone...
Like the OS is for a pc,custom firmwares are like OS for a phone...
and in order to install a custom rom you need to root a phone and install recovery...
so you must start off with rooting...
I would suggest you to search youtube for detailed video instructions

i unlock my device and i install cm before but i return to stock lg 4.1.2 jb and i root it and install cwm and i donot like the stock lg and i want to back to cm ROM but i get error while i install it on cwm status 7 ?
what am i doing wrong ?

Your problem is that you are not searching XDA if there is already a solution...

You must be about the 50th person to ask about the 'Status 7' message and the fact that you didn't search first is just lazy and ignorant. XDA is a Developers forum, not a helpdesk for noobies who refuse to help themselves.
If you want help, then make sure you have searched first;-
1) On here
2) On google.com
3) On google.com using the string "site:forum.xda-developers.com" before the words you are searching, so it will search the whole XDA forum for you
If you really can't find the answer, or don't understand what you've found, then you are well-placed to ask the right question.

Download from play store ROM manager and install cwm

make sure your CWM version is 6.0.3.1.... if not update

Stock rom 2.3.4 or 2.3.6

hello. can someone give me the back up of their SGA s5830 stock rom? i hyave tried many custom roms but. stock roms is far more stable. i accidentaly didnt back up my stock rom 2.3.4 so please can anyone give me stock rom. no tweaks or whatever . just clean stock rom came from the purchase or update of samsung . thanks in advance its christmas.
a backup os stock rom using CWM 5 is what i want. ^_^ . BTW dont close this thread because im not asking for the best rom. custom roms are best coz i have tried some of them. and i cant judge any rom. ty

sorry but. my USB plugin isnt working . it works only for charging. ihave changed my USB port because it is damaged. and here in my place they dont have original ports . or they dont know. but its a miracle stil they make my phone working

that's messy. As far as I know, in order to restore a stock rom backup you need to flash stock rom first. which, by your own account, is impossible. You can take your phone to samsung care if you want stock.

I have HTC one mini 2 bought From vodafone/GERMANY my phone is currently rooted and i installed TWRP 2.8.5.0 recovery i want to ask what are the steps to flash a custom ROM

theres a lot of help around in this forum or even Google. All you have to do is do a search.
Also search in the ROM website. im sure theres a wiki page.

well after flashing CARBON and cm-NostromoPop i did back to original backup rom since the camera is almost unusable laggy and for carbon it does not detect my SD card :/
i tired htc one m9 camera app and same it laggy
if any one have some fix please say it to me and i will try it when i have time

Thx for reply but i did already restore to original rom since i had a little problems with custom rom but i will try back when i have time custom rom and hope i found solution to the laggy camera
