After testing, I realized the fix is not working, and the apps I tried were available the whole time -.-
Going to continue to mess around and see what I can find.
In the mean time, any other app market will have a lot more apps readily available (Amazon Store, Samsung Apps, Etc.)
As you might have noticed, some .apk's don't display properly due to our tiny screen, causing certain things to cut off.
You've probably also noticed there are almost no Apps available in the Play Store due to the device compatibility check.
This means less sideloading
These issues pretty much go hand in hand since the Play Store also takes into consideration the device DPI.
Requirements:
A rooted Galaxy Gear
Bluetooth tethering configured

DPI Fix:
This app will essentially change the resolution on your gear, allowing a larger work space thus cutting less things off.
I've noticed this does effect device stability depending on the set DPI, 140 seems to work the best.
Currently the app is available for download directly from the Play Store with the Gear.

Resolution Change / DPI
Play Store Fix:
This app will basically spoof your device allowing you to download more apps from the Play Store.
Market Fix
Unfortunately, the "Activate" button is cut off, and we are unable to scroll.
We will temporarily need to change the DPI on the Gear to use the Market Fix (The activate button is cut-off on the current Resolution)
140 is the lowest the app will go, this was perfect, since it shows just enough of the button to click it.
After changing the DPI and rebooting, it should look a little like this
As you can see above, the button should now be visible.
Set all options to the device of your liking, then click activate.
Visit the Dashboard to update your device, and profit!
Hopefully soon we can bake these directly into a ROM, but for now, here you go.
Also, can I have anyone else confirm this method works for them?
Note:
I only tested a few apps in the Play Store that weren't previously available (Fruit Ninja/Cut The Rope)
But I'm hoping a lot more are available now.
I also did notice at time's it didn't work correctly, if it doesn't, try different settings.
If it still doesn't work, clearing the Play Store cache might help.

In order to run demos and project (for large audiences) what appears on the screen of my Nexus S, I'm looking for the best app (not necessarily free) able to do that via USB or WiFi.
Have you addressed the same need in the past?
Any suggestion?
Thanks
P.S. Being able to do that without installing any special software on the pc would be a plus
As far as I know, our phones don't have mhl support, so I don't think that you can do this. However there is an app Team viewer, where you can get your pc desktop on your phone. If that doesn't work maybe you can do a gallery of screenshots from the phone to the pc to show what you want? I don't know, hopefully that helps.
its low res but check out webkey in the market. it has a web based screen viewing function as part of its security features, pretty handy.
Hey,
There is an app called "MirrorOP" in the Googleplay market. Install it and then install "MirrorOP Reciever" for PC. Then you will be able to get your phone screen to PC. In the settings you can change the resolution and quality, so you can incerase fps to 25 fps (on the lowest settings).
PS: your nexus must be rooted

Nevermind. Read the OP wrong.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitmaptest&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5iaXRtYXB0ZXN0Il0.hey, try this. Crystal screen in play store.
If you just want static real-time screenshots, e.g., no animation, try AirDroid (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sand.airdroid). Your phone must have root and grant AirDroid root access to capture screenshots.
This is overkill but if you have the options, it works great.
If you have a Samsung SmartTV connecting to the same network your phone is on, download the app called SwipeIt on both the TV and the phone. You can then use SwipeIt to project your phone screen to the TV.
Thank you all for the kind help.
I really thought this was easier to do.
I tried most of the apps you recommended and they generally require an internet connection rather than a simpler one-to-one connection to the PC (in my case this could be an issue).
I'm now oriented to just record a session, download the video to the PC and play it to demo what I had to demo.

Hi All,
Got rooted and Market installed and working the only thing I'm missing its seems is some of the google services, namely Gmail, Gmusic and Chrome
Gmail - installs, says sync is not enabled and crashes
Gmusic - installs and works perfectly with local music, knows about my google account, but will not show any of he music in the cloud
Chrome - installs (sideload) and works fine but will not sync up and show other browsers tabs etc.
Is there some google 'sync' service I'm missing?
Stuff I've installed for google is;
GoogleLoginService.apk
GoogleServicesFramework.apk
Many thanks
From what I understand you have to install the apps again after the framework if you didn't do it in that order.

Thanks, I tried that last night - same thing.
Are there different versions of the framework floating about I wonder?
Has no one else seen this issue?

Yeah, and the GoogleLoginService too. I put them all into the /system/app. Unfortunately i ended up returning it to amazon today. The price point on the device is good. But it seemed very unpolished. Bluetooth headset would disconnect after 15 minutes of watching a movie, but stayed connected fine when listening to music. Web browsing was very slow. If i scrolled the page It would just be white and i'd have to wait 1-2 seconds for silk to render the page. Also my unit had some very bad light bleed, see image below. Not to mention i could never find the buttons (power/volume) I think i'm going to pay a little more and get a nexus, it's probably worth the extra money.

Greetings,
I've been working throughout my free time to develop this app "Wear FaceLift" to allow users to automate watch face switching at time intervals.
It supports both squared and round Android Wear Devices
Instructions:
1- Download and Install the app from Play Store
Note: You won't see the app icon on your phone
2- Wait for the app to be installed on your watch (speed depends on your watch synchronisation)
3- Open the app on your watch and select the faces you want to switch between
4- Select the time interval
5- Quit the app and choose the watch face (Wear FaceLift)
Done, the faces will automatically change based on the time interval you chose !
Do NOT select the Wear FaceLift face before setting it up from the app, else you will end up with force closes
You may need to repeat steps 3-5 if you install or remove a watch face.
Re-select the wear facelift watch face if you have changed the settings for it to apply.
Please note that this app is still in beta period, I will try to improve the app and features by time. Therefore please if you notice any bug or have any feature you want me to add, please send it to me.
Please do not post low ratings on Google Play before contacting me with the issue.
This app sounds great! However it doesn't seem to be available in the app store. Do you know when it will be available and if it will work with Watchmaker and Facer custom faces? Thanks
I was really interested in this app when I first saw it. Do you plan to post it back up to the Play Store?
Still not available on the play store.
when this app comes to play store again?

It was uploaded on the store before, but unfortunately Google changed the way the watch faces behave and developers can't initiate watch face change through apps anymore. Therefore I had to remove it from the store
I've spent a great deal of time trying to assess what these Evenwell apps do and have managed to open up a few using secret codes taken from the apps manifest.
1) Use this code on your phone dialler - *#"#3277#*#* it's for Stability Monitor app. This app from the looks of it is designed to send Nokia/Evenwell log reports from ANR crashes, boot reports amongst other things. By opening up the Stability Monitor app, you can actually choose to send yourself all the reports instead of them being uploaded to a server by periodically having zip files saved on your SD card! Very useful indeed.
2) *#*#666#*#* - EMM app. Yes one of the most hated of Evenwell apps that stays running constantly unless you're prepared to use ADB commands. You can manually set up CPU, GPU and DRAM Governors as if you have a rooted phone! You can either switch them off entirely or have them in use at your options. The option2s are switch off, default, screen or heavy app. There are even options for when force stop apps occur and something called dropcache.
You can also see all current app processes and even what EMM considers to be whitelisted apps. Surprisingly it doesn't consider Google Play Services to be whitelisted which answers my own question about why I would get popups to say the app stopped. There is even a way to manually add an app to the whitelist but I have not been successful with this yet as I am not as technically gifted as most people in here.
I will see about uploading some images to the net so I can post here of actual screenshots as I have not made 10 posts yet here so I cannot upload direct from my phone.
There are a few others I've discovered I can open and will update here as soon as I work out what each app does and what you can do on them when you open them up.
I would appreciate some technical assistance with regards to the EMM app as so far by making my own amendments, all I've done is heat my phone up so high I struggle to pick it up! If anyone can test out the CPU, GPU & DRAM Governor options to see which are the best, please update here.
*EDIT* Here's a link to the album I created here to post screenshots -

You can't get rid of the default theme because it comes nativity with the OS and, as you can see, it's the same passing from oreo to Pie to 10 because it identifies the model of the phone and not the OS by itself.
The other two one's can be dowloaded and installed or not installed at all or even uninstalled once that you install them and you can find them in
settings > accessibility > visibility enhancements > high contrast themes
They give this choice, for having these two high contrast themes, to people having vision problems by themselves or for watching the screen in particular light conditions.
Anyway, since they don't take up a lot of space, I don't understand why your giving problems to yourself for accounting storage (if this is the reason) although the high capabilities of the note 9 in given a high memory expacialy if you put in a micro SD card...

The first one, being the default one, comes nativity with the OS since the phone was still in his box as new so you didn't even have the choise to install it at all....it was there and can't get rid of it even if installing something else to replace it.
For the other two one's , right, they are not installed when the phone was new but only having the choice of them in the settings of the phone like I previously said... anyway, if you installed them, they won't do nothing (not harmful for performance ) and they are even small so they don't occupate a bunch of storage. But your wrong when saing that they are not ufficial themes because they come directly from Samsung's theme store and their download with installation are indeeded to complete the high contrast theme choice in the phone's settings..so, I don't understand your fears for this...
The two to the right are not downloaded into your phone that's why they have the down arrow on them giving you the option to download. The only reason you can see them is that is your history of previously downloaded themes. The first one with the check is the stock theme which is applied to your phone.
