Hey !
After I installed the 4.4 KitKat rom, my phone started to lag when someone calls me. It rings and vibrates for 3-4 seconds with the screen turned off, i can't even answer the call so I must wait 3-4 seconds to see who is calling me..it's very annoying..am i the only one facing this problem with the android 4.4 ?

Follow the development thread of your ROM. As you didn't mention which one it is, only you know.
I've read about that issue in the CM11 thread. It will probably be improved soon. You will can post in the development threads after your 10th post.

Hello, I've recently set up ActiveSync for 15 minute intervals during peak time. I set "Vibrate" for New E-Mail Messages. Usually it vibrates for a few short bursts, but at least once per day the vibration motor freezes up and won't stop vibrating until I press the power button. The only other recent change to my settings was that I installed Bandswitch to keep connected to the Edge network and disconnect after 120 seconds. I don't know if this change is related to the vibration problem. Anybody have any suggestions?
if you have Magic Fingers installed, you might try uninstalling it
thanks for the advice, but I don't have Magic Fingers installed
hey. weird cause i used to have the same issue before, my phone whenever it received an email it would not stop vibrating until i removed the battery. lol weird i know. r u using the stock rom? ever since i changed rom's from stock i havent had that problem before.
try flashing ur rom to an upgraded att or htc rom, maybe it would solve ur issue as it did to me
best of luck
I have the exact same issue with incoming emails. For now I have turned off notification. Configuration is pretty generic.
This happened to me...
This happened to me once with the stock ROM. I have since upgraded to the leaked AT&T Tilt ROM and it hasn't happened since.
Any Hints?
MadMatt- Any hints about where to find the "leaked" ATT Tilt ROM ?

I also have this problem, but its not with every e-mail. I receive between 10 and 20 e-mails a day and the continuous motor only happens about once every other day. I'm also on the stock ATT ROM. Anyone figure out what's going on with this?

I'm glad I'm not the only one.
this issue is a bummer
oh yeah this is becoming a real pita
Me too...
Using Blackberry connect on stock ROM on Tilt, new messages occassionally cause a constant vibration until I hit the power button.
Would love to know how to stop this,

In my experience I have found that this is caused by the device being forced to do something, i.e. check email, recieve email, before the device is fully "awake". The solution for me was acheived through the use of kaiser tweak. This also means there's a registry mod. for it as well, unfortunately I left my Kaiser at home today. If ylou change the device wake up to something more acceptable such as 15 seconds or 30 seconds instead of the 1 second default you may find this fixes your problem as it has for me!
If you did that, wouldn't you stand the chance of missing most of your phone calls while the phone is sleeping?
I just recently decided to root my phone shortly after changing providers from t-mobile to family mobile which is run through t-mobile but cheaper. I figured fresh start all around right?
Well I rooted it, put cm10-or-10.1 linaro on it (forgot which) did some v6 supercharging (had no idea what I was doing, probably shouldn't have bothered) and everything was fine except when I would receive or make a call the phone app would freeze up and at times I could hear the person calling inbound but they couldn't hear me. I could call them back okay though. I figured I'd try a different rom, it didn't help. Now when I make outbound calls the screen freezes in the transition from pressing call to the screen it displays during the call, then the screen shuts off which I assume is the proximity sensor kicking in and then I can either turn it back on and the screen displays correctly or the hardware key lights come on but the screen stays black. Upon hanging up it just sits on the during call screen with everything grayed out for about 10-20 seconds before it finally goes back to home.
So far I've been through: the stock rom, peach sunrise, cm10 linaro and cm10.1 linaro and none of them have been error free. Is this a hardware issue that can be addressed? I've searched around for a topic similar but with no real luck. This is the closest I could get http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1293442 and they seemed to come to the conclusion that it was an internal memory error.

I did a bit more searching using some different terms and people were having trouble with the proximity sensor on their phones causing similar problems so I turned mine off and the problem corrected itself! So now I guess I just have to deal without having a functioning proximity sensor during calls, oh well, not a biggie. I appreciate the help though guys.
hi everyone, i had upgraded my 4x HD to jellybean by LG pc suite and it seems very good, after 2 days a big f*** problem appeared, when i call anyone or received a call, at any time ,i can hear the another person and he can't, it may be takes 20 seconds or 2 min then the line cut out. this problem appeared after upgrade the mobile to jellybean. if there any solution for that ?????
Factory reset test sound again and see if there is any improvement.

I had the aame problem, and some other members too. We narrowed it down to voip communication (Skype , viber) causing the issue. I recommend kitkat roms, havent had any issues on kitkat regarding that.
A workaround is to trigger speakerphone, then back to normal, mic should work again for some time
i tried to do factory reset and nothing change :s :s

I'm on kk and skype gives a lot of problems, it crashes during calls without a good reason to be closed -.- Phone Calls close in the same way when I turn on wifi or data connection
As the title says it turns on without touching the phone, after calling sb. It never seems to turn on while receiving a call. I am 100% I didn't touch a thong as sometimes it happens while I have the phone in hand and I can clearly see that the loudspeaker is activated as soon as I place the call. I read it's a common problem. Anyone found any soulution? Do you have it too?

+1 no solution so far
It was chrome. Latest update fixed it

Some say it could be a short or something on the USB port. I cleaned mine (lint and things) and it seemed to help... But it happened again and it's clean as whistle so I'm hopping it's chrome. I haven't had an issue since it's last update, seems weird though.

I havent had this happen in a week, but I just had it happen agan tonight. I have the latest firmware and crome updates.
Hello to everyone.
I have noticed a delay for a couple of seconds when answering a call. The person on the other line cannot hear me for a couple of seconds and then everything is ok. Apparently i had this problem since day one and it hasn't been fixed with any update. I have a completely stock phone running android 4.4.2 now.
Anyone with similar problems?
Any possible solutions?
Anyone?
