Any root available for 4.3 that does not involve downgrade of firmware?
Like the 360 root or Vroot that i just "plug and play"
You will he aware when root is available but at the moment nothing along them lines for 4.3 is been done/confirmed working
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
Think unlock recovery, install custom cwm, flash latest supersu should work though
also possibl when OTA updates starts popping up mybe updating OTA might keep root from .257 if you had it rooted...
but no one tried it yet, i'm waiting for OTA personally.
i tried with kingo... but a message say that want install mtk camera, maybe is the exploit for root.. but i stop the installation
lol... the new firmware has not even been out for a full day and people are already asking for various things... let the devs play with it a little.. geez....
What I know will be released soon a rooted firmware .290 Android 4.3. So stay tuned, when come out just update and done.
I've created rom for recovery with root and recovery, root works, but root file managers can't mount system for write but titanium works fine

No, it's not the root method as well. It's just a 4.3 zip and we flash it into the 4.2 (.257) kernel

That does not give full root, mounting system is still a problem that we are working on.

currently the only way is to unlock your bootloader.
But you could try flashing the .140 stock kernel, rooting using bin4rys method, then flashing the .141 kernel back. I have heard people talk about that method but not heard anyone say it has been successful yet
so easy
i've got a tool
i can email to you

From the last threads, If I understand well, I guess the best method method is the following :
1- To come back to .140
2- To root it with Bin4ry's method
3- To install the .141 rooted and deodexed proposed by TiMiN8R
Am I right ?

Yes, after rooting though you need to install recovery for locked bootloader in irder to flash the .141 .zip from Timin8r

no, just flash a .140 ftf from the all in one thread using flashtool
EDIT but if you are doing that to root it, there is no need, just use the latest doomlord version to root on .141
Hey guys, so I updated my phone here and I'm trying to root the phone. I have search the web for question but none. So, I decided to do the old method way. Can I use the 4.2.2 (2.67).tft flash it to the phone and root it. And then flash back to the 4.3 (.569).tft. Thanks. Also please provide me with some links for the root.

Please use the search guys, this has been discussed in many threads all over here and the general section ever since 4.3 was released.
Currently, the only way to root after you have already flashed 4.3 is to unlock your bootloader and flash DooMLoRD's advanced stock kernel.
That's it, until somebody finds a way to root with a locked bootloader and that doesn't mean you have to post asking for it. Once someone has a breakthrough, they will publish their work here for certain.

If your bootloader is unlocked you can try this. It worked for me.

So, basically exactly what I already said. Flash DooMLoRD's advanced stock kernel and flash a superuser zip.
No need to give page views to yet another website that just reproduces guides/work of XDA members.

I'm not sure why you revived this thread that is several months old to post that.
Firstly, it's just a reproduction of information from a couple of DooMLoRD's threads from here and here on XDA.
Secondly, it directly links to his files, which is a no no.
Thirdly, there are also direct links in that article to unofficially hosted versions of Androxyde's Flashtool, which is also not polite.
Please don't push page views to places that do things like that. Thanks.

However, if you just want to root, then the information supplied in this thread is out of date now. You can use towelroot to directly root your phone without unlocking the bootloader.

Unlock bootloader and install an insecure kernel
or
Downgrade, root, install a recovery then update to a pre rooted rom.
Look in the development section for the links, they are not hidden.

I can confirm that none of the earlier root methods work.
The thread about rooting and installing custom recovery is probably for older version of 4.4.2.
flashing custom recovery works.
I used the following recovery version, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2757538
Unticked reboot, and after flash was done i forced it to recovery and after that i flashed root
root
I installed the clockwork recovery from 4.3 and then flash the supersu.zip. works perfect.
I use the normal org. Samsung Rom
Hey guys quick question, i am currently living with my long suffering firmware that is jellybean...the phones needing a good clean out and update!
So i was wondering if there is a UK regional FTF for the latest kit kat?
BUT ALSO! i have seen generic ES (Spain) Regional FTFs for Kit Kat and i will be moving to Spain in September.. so should i just go a head and flash that? i don't know the difference between ES & UK (not that i have managed to find a UK version, maybe someone could point me in the right direction)
Also are these FTFs available for rooting? my phone is currently rooted with CWM and will most likely want to re-root after i have flashed with flashtools..
sorry to ask such nooby questions
Thanks
Chris

I had rooted using the old school method because towelroot was not availabe then
Towelroot will work to root and its the easiest way at the moment.
After rooting just download and install SuperSU from play store.
After flashing firmware Bootloader wont be locked again
Kernel and Root are two different things
You will have to flash recovery again though as flashing firmware will remove the recovery
You can get the recovery from here
Dont follow root instructions from the link as you will be rooted after using towelroot
