Quality Case

Hi.
I am looking for a high quality case for my Razr I but I cannot find any.
Do you know a brand with one?

As this is similar (if not the same) as the Razr M, is there any Razr M cases about which will do the job for you.
**note** Not really read up on excat specs of the two but from what gather there basically same apart from processor, and the Razr M has been out longer so may have more accessories

I'm looking for some myself. RAZR i has a dedicated camera button where M does not.

But it is recessed and flush with the side of the phone so RAZR M cases should also fit the i just fine so long as you don't mind the camera button being covered.

Given you're on AT&T, I'm going to assume you're stateside. The biggest issue for those of us that imported this phone is that any device specific accessories will also have to be imported, as the phone won't be released here. Ever (as per Intel).
It's unlikely we'll see any Intel toting phones in the US (officially) until the Silverton Atoms are released with LTE support.
Amazon UK seems to have some cases. As I am not a case user, and don't know exactly what you want, that's all I can suggest.

That's true, but I still doubt it. Those cases have been on the ASUS website since the WiFi model came out, and the website hasn't been updated to say they are suitable. I'm not sure a 3G variant of this case has been produced - it would have been on Google Play otherwise.

There are at least two massive threads about this keyboard already, it's NOT alumiium, it's plastic. Other than that most folk seem to like it.

If you have a look around you can find that there is new version of this keyboard which includes a TAB key just above the Q.

That's good to know. I wonder if the lettering is more permanent on newer versions. Mine have mostly rubbed off with use.

The amazon link I posted above has the tab key (at least mine came with it anyway) even though their picture does not show it and the lettering seems pretty good so far.

Bloody hell, Amazon doesn't deliver to my country and I cannot find this one on ebay/elsewhere for the similar price

Out of curiosity, has anyone had any luck performing key-remaps on this? I really like most of the layout, but having an ESC key would be nice aand I think an FN-TAB would work well there ... anyone else?

Has anyone found a good dock yet? I found a few on Amazon but none of them are specifically for the g2.

Did you search before starting this thread? I think not. This has been asked several times.
Are you looking for a car dock or one for home? Truth is, there are not very many made specifically for the G2. And the generic ones are pretty much crap in my opinion.

Yeah I did actually but all I could find were threads about a car dock but I'm looking for a home dock.

So when I'm laying in bed or at my desk I can just grab my phone without having to worry about it getting unplugged and looking for the charger, I can simply just set it back on the dock after im done.

I just use a wireless charging pad. I'd imagine the Nexus 4 & 5, and Galaxy s3 and and st docks might work. a centered USB port is really all you need if you're looking for a dock that plugs in

why is this verizon only? the charging port is in the same spot on the other models. I thought the verizon model would use wireless charging. but since this has a port it should technically work for any model right?

I think it is because Verizon's G2 has different dimensions @[email protected]

It's a shame that teu D802/International Version doesn't support wirless charging. I'm therefore also looking for a good dock, bzt can't find one...

i read elsewhere on here that the dimensions were not all that different. but still at $40 for a charging dock Ill just get some plexiglass and a heat gun and make my own :laugh:

It's funny how you think $40 is expensive for a dock. Here in Denmark that price makes me want to get two or three x)

well for a piece of plastic that just holds your phone its expensive. i've bought docks for $50 before...but they were media docks with HDMI out or other such features

Agreed. I paid almost $100 with shipping to get a POGO dock for my GNex. I stream Pandora all day at work so being able to just pick my phone up and go is super convient and not have to worry about the audio plug also.
Just ordered the VZW Dock.

Could you please test your dock with other variants of G2? I wanna know why it is marked only for VZW, if it works with other variants, ill get one.

Plexiglass, hot glue, some weight in bottom, Qi Pad internal, NFC tag or correct magnet placements for dock app, profit.

Well 2 things. The dock doesn't do media only charges/data transfer so I still have to manually disconnect the audio plug which kind of sucks.
Secondly I do not know anyone has the G2 other then on VZW. So mail me yours and I will try it out.

Something I can put on my night stand where my phone is vertical so I can see active notifications.

Does your daydream work all night or does it shut off and back on when the battery is full? Wireless charging cycles on and off when the battery is full and it seems to mess with Daydream.

Seen this one at Verizon the other day, really diggin it. Waitin for my gift cards to come in from trading in phones and probably gonna cop it.

Yes, the one I posted works just fine with not only the Incipio case, but I also have the Metal disc from the iOauto magenetic holder for my car.
I have noticed, however, that it gets rather warm when I take it off when its in the case, so that is something to think about.
The charger does stop when it reaches 100%...this is causing daydream to fail by morning so I'm thinking of trying to use Trigger to turn on daydream whenever wireless charging starts...that may do the trick...
