"AOKP" (Android Open KANG Project) is a built from source ROM similar to CyanogenMod (but different).
I didn't create AOKP, I only ported it to the Droid 3.

What is the "Android Open KANG Project" and why should I care about it?

Anyone else having trouble with the amazon app store. I can log in to the amazon site and the kindle app but the app store comes up with "enter a valid email address and password". Anyone else getting this?
On side note battery % increments are 10 not 1.

Definitely not as smooth or fast as our cm9 yet...keyboard lags UI stuff isn't as smooth. Maybe no dual core enable? Lol who knows. This definitely a lot cooler than cm9 tho

Basically a lot more customization options. Not much difference as it was based of cm9 since its a port.

How do i put scrolling cache to default disable?

U can turn scrolling cache off in settings under rom control and then all the way to the bottom performance. It smooths a few things up but intensive scrolling apps like twitter and facebook depend on scrolling cache..so its a trade off

every issue from 3.1 for quincytmo has been fixed in 4.12. that includes:
camera
video playback
gps
usb (both mtp and mass storage now work. no more crashes on hitting the storage icon.)

The tomb note is slightly different. So some issues are to be expected. Providing a log cat however will deffinately help the op get them iorned out

I had to flash out of this ROM cuz i needed the camera. Lol I'll flash back later on today and see if i get the log for it. Thanks!

i got the camera working in a build earlier but it caused the radio to not pull a tmo signal, even though all other radio functionality was working.
hopefully i can have a fully functioning 3.1 by tomorrow

What I understand is that jellybean doesn't support flash player so videos won't play in a browser page. I use vplayer and I can watch videos through that.

Did you try it? I use it for all videos on my phone and online. It handles lots of video formats/codecs.

For some reason the Magicjack app resets and ask me for username and password after a few minutes to and hour. I am only stating it here because it worked with CM9, CM10, Peach, and stock without this problem.

Also the Dock goes completely blank if I try to remove or add any icon. Can fix it by going to settings and disable Dock,and re-enable it.
Other than these problems I can say it is a great ROM so far. Faster and more stable than CM10. Thanks...

Yeah, it's kinda weird how some bugs can be resolved just by disabling/re-enabling something. I've seen it numerous times in the past. Thanks for the tip! I use Apex myself, so it's less useful to me, but might be good information for others. Cheers!

Found out that the problem I had posted before about MagicJack app had zero to do with ROM. They that I can only have the app installed and working on a finite amount of devices and that's it. That includes different ROMs, and there is no way to remove old devices from the account. This makes the account useless except at the house with their dongle connected to the computer. MagicJack Sucks.
Found a better way via GrooveIP and Google Voice anyways.

Hey guys, just gonna go on a the guess that
1. This rom includes the same RILs that cyanogenmods do.
2.That 911 is also not working in this rom just like the others.
So i made a zip for this rom too to fix 911.
CM9 911 Fix
CM10 911 Fix
Paranoid 911 Fix
tazmaniondvl has noted that the cm10 zip does work so this should too.
Edit: I just realized i never changed the text in the update-script to say the proper build, it says cm9 but w.e. just make sure you choose the right zip the files are named properly.

Very nice rom gongrats to the devs... I have just installed and been running it for a day now. I noticed two glinches
A) when someone calls at lockscreen the circle phone unlocker is a little bit to the right
B) at dial pad when you try to dial the vibration starts randomly and stops after 2 secs
Thats all until now but everything else are flowless.
Ps. Forgot that i'm using trinity kernel.

Most all of these AOSP ROMs share a kernel and while I'm not on this particular ROM, I am on one and yes I can take normal pictures.

I have tried a few different ROM's for my razr m and i will say i like this one the best! The only thing i dont have working for me is the camera preview (the pictures turn out fine just cant see what im shooting). and before i started flashing rom's i use this trick to swap my internal and external memory cards http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229848 but when i tried it on this i keep getting media process has stopped working and i cant transfer files from pc to either sd card through usb. So i was wondering if anyone has an updated solution to switch the SD cards around so that we are not limited to 4GB's of data?

Ive been having a problem with the audio, anytime i use an app like slacker or spotify and then stop and try to play it again i get no audio from any app or the phone. and weird connection issues after this happens

Mine worked once but now i can't get it to work again. Im still trying to figure out why after listening to slacker if i dont close out and leave slacker idle or any other music app when i try to start listening to music again i cant get any sound from any app on my phone and my internet starts acting up (WiFi or 3G-4G). Its like the app takes full control over the sound and wont release it because even the DSP manager app stops working and ive also tried and equalizer app i used before flashing but neither will work after i start playing music.

Seems like another dev getting chased off by people improperly using their work. :crying:

He is finished. Looks like for good this time. He has asked that the offenders be banned from droidrzr and then he will continue. Don't see that happening, there are clearly two sides to this and each is not budging.
Not going to get into politics, so it is what it is.

It's unfortunate. I guess that's what happens when things are open source and common decency is not practiced. But like you said, it is what it is. I guess we'll have to see if the other "Dev Team" can continue improvements to BlackBean and PAC ROMs and at least give some created to BKJolly for the ported base if the other "Dev Team" decides to continue it.
