Hi There
I have had a look all over for something like this and maybe I am blind and if so please forgive me for starting a thread for this if there is already one. But I want to know, is there anyway of swapping the volume button so that the down volume becomes the up volume when in a landscape orientation. Cause right now it seem to work the wrong way round in landscape and you push the right volume key(Down) to make it go down and the volume slider moves left... Not something big and if it's not possible that's fine just seems silly that way round and I prefer it the other way.
Thanks for any answers.

Anyone got a an answer for this? Don't want to bump it up if not but just curious. Thanks.

I hope i'm not asking a redundant question here. Has anyone figured out how to automatically switch to speakerphone mode when sliding open the keyboard? i'm not quite sure how they expect you to hold the phone to your head when typing...
Pretty easy to activate speaker phone in any circumstances...just press and hold the green phone button.

Why do people post stuff that is of no help? Oh sorry I just did it
Hi,
I've searched for a while for something like this, but can't seem to find anything. I'm looking for a way to remap either a softkey or any of the 6 buttons to turn on speakerphone, instead of having to use the often clumsy touchscreen to turn speaker on. Is there anyway to do this? It seems like remapping one of the keys would be easy, but I suppose I would need an app like the switch-to-vibrate, or alt-tab prgms to remap the key to? Anyone know of anything like that?
thanks in advance!
Hallo, try this:

This is not the solution but this might help you.
I'm also searching some super button combination to activate speakerphone via button when incoming connection arrives. The only possibility I found is to pick up the phone normally and than press and hold green button.

Yes, I constantly accidentally hit the volume buttons. Is there an app that can lock them, so they only work after I enable them in the app?
Really? My favorite thing about the phone is that the volume buttons work when the phone sleeps. That drives me insane about every other phone/mp3 player I've used.... having to dig the phone out of my pocket and wake it up just to adjust the volume.
How are you accidentally hitting the volume buttons? Just curious.
One thing I've been wanting to request is a way to make a long-press of the volume buttons be forward/back a track. That'd rule.

When I go from portrait to landscape, by the time I'm done, I see the volume change window on the screen. I don't even know if I hit the + or the -.
Hey there, does anyone know of a way to disable the volume buttons on the side?
I'm looking for something that will disable them when a certain program is running, but something that i can use to turn them on and off will be appreciated...
Hi Guys and Gals I would also like to have the volume buttons disabled if posiable?

Hi, I am not sure if this is possible but better to ask anyway.
Sometimes I like to have a radio app playing and I need to MUTE it, but the screen is off and locked and I don't want to fumble with the S4 Active's sticky volume button (is yours 'sticky'? my volume rocker loves to zoom up and down with a slight push),
just mute/unmute without hitting menu/enter code/swipe or some other combination of keys.
I thought maybe it could be done through that "headphone jack button" accessory but that is not really what I am looking for.
Something akin to the gesture of flipping the phone face down to stop the ringing. or swiping your hand over the screen to mute/pause, but that only works on certain apps and when the screen is on. I want a function like this with the screen OFF.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried Tasker? Are you familiar with it at all? If you want, I could try to create something for you. What is the app so I can test to see if it works?

I am answering my own question with this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2492565
Doesn't work with everything but it is a great start!
