[Q] extend camera exposure time?

hi guys i'm asking that is there any how to increase exposure time on the sony xperia Z camera, i'm interesting in taking long exposure pictures but no money to afford a DSLR i did try the Firework Mode in SCN, this work quite good but it's maximum exposure time is 1s, i'm looking for any how that may be an increase to 5s 10s or even 30s. I also tried some others apps but its basically taking several pics then so a "long exposure" as they call :|

I guess you need an app that control shutter speed also, which I can't find for android.

The only best apps i can find now is camera fv-5 but it just extend the exposure time not the shutter speeds :crying:

I think it is not possible to do what dslr do.
Consider buying dslr, nex 3n is cheap at 500 $ and very good one.

cheap my salary is 600€ (approx 700$) and you say thats cheap

hmmmm it's actually can do some :silly: in my attachment is 1s long exposure by xZ firework mode it's quite hard for me to afford a DSLR :crying:

Thats pretty cool tbh, i'll try that later.

yeah this pic was taken by xZ standard camera firework mode but the max exposure is only 1 sec :crying: that why i need to extend to 5s have a full line of light across the pic

This app can do what you want.
You can control exposure and shutter speed giving you more control.
I hope this works.

Mist on the mirror of camera

Mornin'! (at least here in PL)
Yesterday when i was in jacuzzi i decided to take some underwater pictures using my Z. Ive heared it isnt designed to be submerged, though of course SONY promotes it as it does. Ok but lets move to a problem. After first picture taken accuracy gone bad, the water was clean but pictures of even close localised things were blurred. I remember someone here on forum showed his underwater pictures and they were great actually. Mine were not worth a penny... After bathing i had swab the water all of my device and then i saw the mist on the interior site of mirror of camera. Now its already gone but had been there for few houres. Camera still works perfect after mist had gone, no problems there, however mist is an evidence of water coming somehow through. All of the indicators are white, so its not where the problem comes from. So my question is are you guys facing with such a thing after bathing, is it normal or is it as i said evidence of malfunction? Next question if i bought my Z from polish network Play does it mean warranty is ensured only by them or i can take it to SONY Center and they can fix up this issue too?

Some people are def. confused. XZ was never designed as underwater camera. Keep it safe and out of water.

I hope so, anyway Im going to take it under warranty to check whether everything is ok. And back to my question: can I take it directly to SONY Center rather than taking it to local network provider who sold me my phone?

Probably. Along as you have proof of purchase. But if there's nothing wrong theres nothing they are going to find. And probably charge you for wasting their time

Looks like it is made by a 5 year old and Xperia T is twice in the image, 1 with YES and 1 with NO.
Looks fake to me.
Edit: And the Google edition of the Xperia Z will be updated by google of course... and don't know why it is in here anyway

I don't care anymore. OmniRom is gonna be the bomb and after my T it's gonna be a Nexus

I was going to get a nexus 4 instead of my crappy xperia t but no sd card slot was the problem. I regret buying this phone and worst of all I can't unlock the bootloader

Different strokes... Wait until you take a picture on the Nexus 4 (or from what the specs say the 5). Unlike the Sony, it is truly horrible camera.
The trick is never buy a subsidized phone, then it won't be simlocked or bootloader locked. That was an option with the Xperia T. I picked up mine for $279 at newegg.

The camera on my t is rubbish. When you take a video all you can here is a clicking noise from the camera

just to make sure what u talking about...you mean a noisy autofocus rattle sound, in videos?
if thats what you mean, i had that too with some Roms, but with omniRom its gone for me. dont know why. guess its a problem with some mic or whatever. happen for me just with some roms, not with all...crazy huh

Maybe the Xperia T LTE is the one getting 4.3 update. I think the 3G one will not get the update. Maybe i'm wrong.

Neither are just like what happened to my play. A phone with specs good enough but not given the updates on purpose. If sony want to gain the market they need to release 1 flagship a year and support their previous flagships for longer than 5 months. The galaxy s3 is older and is getting android 4.3 and why aren't we?

I also will no longer support Sony's devices after this, kind of a slap in the face. They can take their T and stick it

this is what sony deserve after they screwed my over twice. First with my xperia play now with phone. No wonder why xperias depreciate so quickly

Because no update to new version and sony bad, nexus cool because google. New version is good, because it keeps on battery half hour longer/lasts shorter but better. And profiles/new function in camera which i will use two times in my life/better integration with google plus omg! And no new version means that flagship abandoned. I am betrayed. sony bad.
To be honest i don't understand it too. When it comes - it comes. If not - who cares. Update from 2.3 to 4.0 was a big deal, because everything changed. API, nature of Android etc. GB slowly died and became incompatible with many interesting apps.
But update from one jelly bean to another? Dudes... It's only features!
Please just be happy that Sony released quite recent well written Android version. It's highly optimized and allows to do almost everything that is available to 4.2 and 4.3 devices..

no plan what you are doing with your phone...my device never gets that hot

Security updates with Android updates aren't important for some people hhere

it happens when i browse the internet or play a basic game. it gets so hot that if i pick up a call i can't put it next to my ear because the earpiece gets hot

4K Video Recording.

I guarantee that LG has updated the camera of the G Flex for the 4.4. Now you can record 4K videos as well. And for the 120Fps slow motion videos, well i will do it for you guys!

My Flex for Sprint already records 4k video. Unless I'm mistaken.

That's way cool of you. This was one if the mods i was going to do when i got the time, but now we've got the pro on it!

Yea, it does, but it looks like ass tbh. It's washed out, lacks color vibrancy, and has more of a grey scale look to it in certain lighting (especially outdoors). I've had the chance to take videos against the Note 3 and the colors are much richer and vibrant on the Note 3. This is likely able to be fixed through a software update though, just as it was with the Nexus 5. Or... you can flash his mod when he's finished. Trust me, it will make a significant difference for the positive.

We will see what we can do once you get KK. Sharpness, colors everything.. Low fps fix and what not

Of you have sprint version, only that variant has the 4K for JB. Other variants don't. Try searching before bashing. I reply with respects because i cannot just comment anything.

Camera Problem

I have a problem with my XSP's camera having blurry,Foggy pictures. At first I thought the problem was just the app itself so I tried other camera apps like camera 360 but it still shows the same problem. I think it may be hardware related but I need your advice if I can still sort this on my own because I hate slow customer repair service.

i tried wiping off the back camera but not to the extent that includes the removing of screws. Is that what you mean?

Just wiping the lens with some cloth or micro-thingy, nothing too complicated

Thanks for the suggestion but as I've said before, wiping doesn't work. But I noticed that the back camera has many scratches. Maybe that's the cause.
