[Q] Phone won't fully boot - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. I'm still a noob so please bear with me :silly: I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i. Recently I flashed the Alloy UI rom and the phone would not fully boot after an installation abort in recovery mode. The phone will remain at the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i display. I then tried flashing a Mrage rom as I read that it was compatible and safer, hoping that the overwrite will save the phone. However, the result was the same. I have also made several attempts to flash the original rom back via Odin but it will always fail with the program saying ' Complete(Write) Operation Failed'. I have a strong feeling that I've bricked my phone and I know its asking the impossible but I'd like to believe its not. Someone help me pleeeeease :crying:

Congratulations you got your Note bricked!
I did brick mine!
You have two solutions so far:
Try this method to try to bring your Note back to life:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661590
Or if you can't follow the above guide because the creation of partitions is creating IO errors then you have bad sectors and currently there is no way to fix them!
Take it to Samsung to replace the motherboard!
If you have warranty the replacement is completely free of charge to you!
In my case my Bricked Note is with Samsung right now and in ten days i'll have it with a new motherboard and free of charge!
The above guide didn't work for me because of bad sectors!
So the only option was Samsung!
If you don't have warranty for it... you will have to pay for the replacement motherboard... and it's not cheap...!
Don't you guys read? AVOID LEAKED ROMS AND OFFICIAL ICS WHILE THE BUG ISN'T CORRECT!
Yep, you got superbick'd. Do what zylor says, and go visit a Sammy service center.
see my thread super brick recovery, it might come handy to you before going to SSC

[Q] Galaxy note N7000 32G bricked ?

Hello,
I Purchased on Ebay a 32G Galaxy note N7000
It received it with Android 4.03, but I don't know the history of this device...
I carefully read all the posts about bricked phones.
So I decided to flash my phone using an original GB stock rom which is supposed to be safe.
I directly flashed it without wiping anything before... I didn't even enter in recovery mode
But the flash operation blocks in odin at factoryfs.img... and now, the phone can only enter download mode (not recovery).
Edit 1 : I just tried exactly the same operations with another PC.. and it works !
I presume now that my phone is not bricked...
Edit 2 : the flashing operation in "edit1" succeded, but when I reboot the phone, I have error messages so I can't initialise the phone...
Edit 3 : I tried to flash again with another GB rom, and I'm again blocked in odin at factoryfs.img. Idem with the Rom which worked one time..
I noticed a stange thing before flashing : the phone had only 24G memory when I received it : is it the clue that it has been repartitionned before I bought it, avoiding detroyed parts of its memory ?
Could someone help me to know what to do now..
Is my phone bricked or am I doing something wrong while flashing?
Are there special roms to use with 32G versions ?
One more thing : I uninstalled kies and I stopped my avast but I've the same problem.
Thank you.
Reboot the note and flash Gb again. If successful, boot into recovery mode and wipe data.
I rebooted and tried to flash with a GB rom several times unsuccessfully.
Each time, I'm blocked at factoryfs.img in ODIN....

That's the strong indicator for a bricked device!
And with your information that from 32 only 24 GB were available it seems to be clear that the previous owner used the repartition workaround (see hg42's thread) to revive it.
And after that selling it on ebay!
You should get in contact with the seller and try to get your money back. If he didn't hint in his selling information then you should think about the normal ebay "fraud help desks" (I never used them, so I do not know how this works).
Thank you for your first answer, but something is always strange in my situation : the flashing operation worked once : odin succeded up to the end of the flash operation. I only got problems after reboot. It shouldn't happen if parts of my memory are broken... or there is something I don't understand...
After that, if I decide to try to revive my note, are there special things to do for a 32G version (special rom, special pit file) ?
Flash the abyss kernel u can get from rootgalaxynote.com when in download mode, them youll habe cwm recovery and flash amy zipped rom from there. Goodluck

[Q] Bricked Gnote, no experience on the field

so i have been running Paranoid android for a while, and wanted to try this out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051904
flashed the latest cm10.1 kernel, and then formated cache, dalvic, battery stats, etc.
then i managed to reboot before i had flashed the new rom and got stuck in bootloop. could not access CWM any more
after this i downloaded odin after a few forum reads, and flashed different versions of CWM to see if i could get back in to flash the rom.
the latest one i have in it is this:
http://fs1.d-h.st/download/00033/pQK/GT-I9100_JB_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.2.9.tar
as it was recommended in some un-brick thread. still no access to CWM
after this i flashed a stock rom, as i could not find any .md5 or .tar roms to use with odin, and i got at least a samsung logo on hte screen, before i got back to boot screen and was stuck there again.
CWM still not working, or showing up in any way.
out of obvious options i now tried flashing the pit file trough odin from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
and after this the samsung boot logo did not show up anymore. only boot loop
i am now going to try and download the older ginger bread rom and flash it trough odin, but i got no idea if it will make any difference.
otherwise phone goes to download mode just fine, and i got working drivers in windows trough kies.
im quite new to this, and dont really know what would work from here. ill end up hard bricking the phone if i don't get some help, and the trash can will be my n7000 next home.
any advice is welcome
--------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT:
flashing official rom again after the pit file acrually gave me a working phone again. also i now got 50 gb of drop box storrage for free, so thats nice

[HELP] Soft-Bricked / Boot-Looping Galaxy S5 Active

Hello,
I recently tried to flash a stock NE4 Kernel onto my device and this ended up soft bricking it into a boot loop.
I have tried to wipe/factory reset my device already since I was able to get into recovery mode but to no avail.
I have tried to flash the stock ROM onto my device but I get a FAIL! (Auth) error in Odin. Specifically: G870AUCU1ANE4_G870AATT1ANE4_G870AUCU1ANE4_HOME.tar.md5
At this point I could care less whether or not it's possible to root my AT&T S5 Active, I just want to be able to use it again.
... Please help, I'm super worried I won't be able to get it back.
My Device Model is SM-G870A

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Ace II semi brick phone ?

Hi guys,
So after many combinations of uploading custom roms to my phone I've failed. I've tried to install UltimateROM on stock rom but before that I had to install TWRP/CWM, and I installed this file (it's attached below), so it only destroyed partitions in my phone. Right now I can boot into stock ROM but everything seems to shut down in a while. Also I can boot into recovery and download mode. However in recovery mode phone can't find /data /cache and something else. I've also tried to install stock rom again using ODIN, but I get a message "There is no pit file". So my stock rom is a I8160XXNB1_I8160OXXNB4_HOME.tar and my phone model is GT-I8160. (Download link for this faulty modification "https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XZGuwn9vJD8mUMH0CP2czM8JjY_MjoYa"
Please help guys, and thanks in advance !
