i'm searching on ebay but still can't decide about case? is anybody use case with p970?

I ordered a similar case from seller 'moonstore_au" more than a month ago.
They are going to either send me out a replacement or refund my money if it doesn't arrive this week.
With that said, be careful of cheap ones!

yes, this is the downside of free, un-tracked shipping. all of my dealextreme.com orders arrived with no problem. i hope this ebay seller won't dissapoint me.
btw, there is no p970 cases at dealextrme. it's really disappointing.

my order has arrived. perfect fit. you can press hard buttons easily. don't collect dust. white one is looking really good. looks better than black case.
just one thing bothers me. sharp edges at back side are show some kind of trace at white transparent area.. it's not a permanent thing. it's not even a trace actually. just doens't look good. but not a big problem.

it seems very thin and it is hard rubber!

have you guys tried looking around gmarket korea? it's like korean ebay, and because lg is a korean brand you can actually find quite a few varieties of optimus black accessories there. english.gmarket.co.kr. try searching "optimus black" or "KU5900".
I got mine for about USD10, and shipping to Singapore (where I live) was another 10USD (because I didn't buy anything else.. basically gmarket kr allows you to shop from all the korean shops, then consolidates the orders and sends it to you by EMS).

cool I like this, I wanna buy one.

I've been looking for a back cover for my ob for a long time, not a tpu to be exact, but more like a metallic/hard plastic/rubber back cover for the phone, anyone got any ideas where I could get one?

OK, not a leak per se, but pics nor info not released abroad by Samsung as of yet . So, what do you think? thoughts? I feel that this is what the regular S4 should have been....maybe with color choices.

I would be surprised if this comes to the U.S.

I've looked at those, but I'd like there to not be any any bulk to the phone. Right now i'm just rocking it naked with invisibleshield on the front and back, this has been the first time I could use a smartphone and feel like it's not too fragile to set on the table without a scratch getting on it. :good: If anything it would be awesome if there were replaceable backcovers in different colors, but i have yet to see anything.

There are some. Check out the accessories thread. There are leather ones and carbon fiber that I ha e seen so far. That's one benefit of this phone, we will probably have the most accessories next to maybe the iPhone.

My initial thoughts are the phone looks nice but don't like the physical buttons. Also, doubt that just because it has that coating on the phone the screen won't crack if dropped on concrete. In my mind having a good case is the only way to prevent certain things from happening and if I'm going to use a case then what is the point of a "rugged" phone.
This is just me and I understand others have different needs but that is my opinion on it.

I miss the days of my old Nokia 8260 when replacing housings were common. You dropped your phone, $10 and a few days later you had a new housing that was four screws away from making your phone like new. I suppose a tempered glass cover and tpu cover and replaceable battery covers are about as minimalist with good coverage as you can get. And many of the 3rd party battery covers are two piece anyway with the plastic base and the insert that goes on it. So you get a little extra protection there as well.

not a big fan of those menu buttons. Phone looks nice. Samsung should have saved their fitness bloat for that phone. Up High :highfive:

The documents arw slipped besides the charging cradle and because of the brown colour they look like part of the packaging. Inserted in vertically.
Have now discovered how to adjust the strap. Simple when you look at the mechanism in day light!

the strap pulls down on the bottom end of the watch where the silver metal piece is and it has a little pin that you can put in any of the open holes... I have a demo unit to use for a bit and I am not a fan...

Wireless charging and leather

Has anyone added a wireless sticker to their leather battery cover? If so do you notice any issues with the leather and the heat from the charging?
I ask because I had a G3 and the back cover has melted ever so slightly from the wireless charging.

Just fitted mine this morning.
Fitted one from aliexpress. Using black leather back and orzly thin case and charges fine

I'm new to this so bare with me...
do you have to scrap off the old existing NFC chip then put the sticker on? or can you just stick it on top of what's there already?

He mentioned two methods. Which one are you saying just as described to? I've never done this but I'd be surprised if people were okay with removing NFC anything so I expect that you just stick it on.

When I used this on my LG G3 I had to remove the existing NFC sticker and replace it with the QI/NFC sticker. I'm assuming we will have to do the same on the G4. I have a QI sticker on order and can confirm once it arrives.

I got those. Mine must have been defective because I tried for an hour to line up those pins and nothing worked. Contacted the seller for a refund.
Edit... Contacts weren't touching. Put tape underneath charging connectors and now it works.

Got mine today... I have leather back and all is working well. Had to add tape to qi pins to Raise them up.
Just take your time. I used scotch tape to get it lined up at first then once I got it right I used the built in adhesive.

Sorry man it sold out very quick and I posted it in like 3 sections and the links worked for awhile then screwed up again. It was a great deal but I'm pretty sure you at least can find a Qi sticker there if that's what is needed. Amazon has those from US sellers now which makes it a lot quicker than from alienexpress where I got my other one from.

Does the addition of wireless charging make the back cover bulge at all? I'm just concerned because this was a big problem on my old galaxy s4

I had the same problem on the s4. There is no bulge on the g4 with the sticker installed.
