[Q] s-off hboot 1.55 androd 4.4 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i was wondering if there is a way to get s-off with hboot 1.55 on kit kat. i tried using rumrunner and it said to download an updated version of rumrunner at rumrunner.us. however, i was already running the latest version of rumrunner. is there something i am doing wrong? I am on the at&t htc one with unlocked bootloader and root running sense 5.5 4.4 insercoin rom

I'm pretty sure you need to install an older ROM first. There are lots of threads covering this.

S-off for 4.2.2 ?

is it possible ? I tried revone but keeps getting errors ..
also my root seems very buggy, and revokes privileges on reboot, using chainfire's superuser, is it because of S-On ?
Not possible right now.
I'm s-off with slimbean7.2 android 4.2.2
I followed revone made a mistake with caps lock and .bin but it worked.

I believe it's currently not possible if you have hboot 1.54, so if you upgraded to 4.2.2 via OTA which updated your firmware or updated firmware with a custom ROM before going s-off then you'll need to wait until they update Revone
If you have only updated your ROM to 4.2.2 and not firmware then you can still s-off, similarly, s-off is retained if you set it before updating to latest firmware

You can be on 4.2.2 but if you're S-ON with the new 1.54 HBOOT you cannot currently S-OFF the unit
Ahh right I see

Could somebody check this combination 2.24.401.1.firmware (HBOOT 1.54 of course)+ 2.17.401.1 ROM (from MIke1986 thread) and
revone v0.2.1-wlj.
When I had 2.17.401.1. Mike's custom firmware (HBOOT 1.54 )+ 2.17.401.1 ROM I got S-OFF without problem with revone v0.2.1-wlj.

[Q] AT&T HTC One Downgrade

Hi hoping someone can chime in and help me out here. I have an att htc one with android 4.3 hboot 1.55 s-on unlock and root. I would like to flash with Google edition locked and unroot so I can receive OTA. From searching It seems that you can't do this unless you are s-off which requires you to be on 4.1 since revone does not work on 4.3? So what I was trying to do was downgrade to 4.1 android and hboot 1.44. Is this possible? I tried to flash the 1.44 hboot in ruu mode but it failed. Do i need to relock my phone then flash the 1.44 zip in ruu mode then use ruu exe for my carrier to flash 4.1? or is there a way to goto Google edition from 4.3? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rad

Thanks for the help jerrycoffman45 I appreciate it. I did search but maybe not enough and focused on searching for 4.1 w/ 1.44 because I had read online about s-off not possible with revone on 4.3. Sorry about that and thanks again for helping.

Need help S-Off

Hey guys!!
I've been trying to s-off for a while now and no luck. I've tried firewater and rumrunner multiple times and no luck. I've tried using ElementalX and Bulletproof kernels with different ROMs. I've also tried downgrading to 4.3 and 4.2 ROMs but still the phone refuses to s-off. I have HBoot 1.56 so can't try moonshine or revone.
I have the black AT&T variant HTC One M7. I want s-off to be able to update my phone to newest firmware and am currently on ARHD 81.0.
What are my options?
Use SunShine, pay 25$, and then you will be s-off

To get s-off its best to have a Stock Rom or something close to stock.
Which method depends on your hboot version
Hboot 1.44 = Revone or Moonshine
Hboot 1.54 to 1.55 = Rumrunner
Hboot 1.56 to 1.57 = Sunshine App (cost $25)

The devs posted in the rumrunner thread. They are having some server issues they are working on getting it backup. Just give it some time. Check the rumrunner thread I'm sure they'll let us know when it's back up
