Hi folks,
what's currently the best ROM to use PDroid on the Nexus 7?
I'd prefer an experience as close to a stock ROM as possible. It seems that 4.2.1 ROMs are out (not supported by the AutoPatcher), and I've tried to patch a few of the 4.2 ROMs floating around and haven't had much success either. Who is currently running PDroid and what ROM did you use as a base?

AFAIK opensensation2 has pdroid installed
You haven't had much success because development was dropped a long time ago. It only supports gingerbread.... sorry bud. I loved pdroid too

I should have clarified that I'm using PDroid 2.0, which is under active development for Jelly Bean.
Thanks for the tip regarding OpenSensation. For the time being I now patched a vanilla 4.1.2 AOSP build (4.2.1 is being worked on). Will look at OpenSensation these days.

Well I don't have a Sensation... and OpenSensation for the Nexus seems to be pretty much in beta... not to mention that the OpenSensation developer has been warning people that his server is compromised and that they shouldn't download anything (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35428325&postcount=9591), so I'll be taking my time with this.

Hey guys,
I plan to port CM10 to this device. I have heard about several problems related to the Intel CPU including Moto libs, drivers, etc.). Anyone who tried that already, can you please report your exeriences here?
I guess a good starting point would be to rebuild several libs, trying to run the CM Framework "on top" of the Moto "baserom". Can still follow my point? Sorry, I don't speak enough English to explain my plan more detailed..
Did Moto already release Rom sources? As I heard the kernel source was released so Matt was able to unpack the kernel, am I right?
Thanks in advance!!
Kernel sources
Moto already released the kernel sources. You can find the in github
http://sourceforge.net/projects/razr-i.motorola/files/razr-i/
As far as i know, devs had been tryng to use the sources, but there's always build problems.
Although, i dont know anybody that have tried with the 9.8.2I-50_SMI-26 kernel, supposedly of Jelly Bean.
I cant help you much more, im not a dev ):
i wish u could bring Cyanogenmod to the Razr i.....theres not much i can help with, but i wish you luck!!
By the title, I tought it really was a CM10 ROM ready to be downloaded... oh well, i'll keep searching...

Well... you can use the french Jelly Bean firmware as the base for CM10... it's rolling right now!
Please change the title so that it is not misleading.

This will take a while... I have to work on other projects too. This project is difficult as I'm working almost blind... No RAZR I device.
The Moto jb could be a solution..
Someone has sent me a PN to tell me about this update. I have to apologize because I thought he was talking about the RAZR.

Hello !
Bought a razr i few days ago to replace my old Xperia x10 that I'll keep to continue dev cm10 and other stuffs on it...
Think I'll be able to port cm10 on razr but it'll take time....started working on razr JB rom. The whole framework needs to be modded and maybe the kernel ramdisk...then it'll be a "simple" port with "cm look "
But... If razr i device sources can be available then a real cm10 build from sources could be done.
Read things have been already done for that by turl1

Just a few news about cm10 compiling ...
Had a little free time and managed to download sources from motorola, implement them in cm10 sources ... and fixing few errors ...
Started a build with Motorola instructions ...
Facing few problem with toolchain that are different for x86 ... didn't had time to go further .
Will post again later to tell you about progress ... if there are some

I think we should try working together to bring this project up to work. What do you think?

Good news! Usual tool chain won't work with Intel architecture... But I guess it could work with gcc/normal make by just editing the makefiles - if you want to build the whole rom it should be OK with some modifications. What do you think about working together?

Yes with gcc/normal make it works with cm roms I use brunch command which works too
Took turl1's repo as base for the device and build environnement is ok.
Now it needs Motorola stuffs... The build stopped cause there are no include yet.
Will update my repo with what I've done so that we could work together
And yes building from sources is the best way to get better things

Roms I got working in the past 2 weeks...
All this will be hosted on the forums of XDA and The Qinara Google Site.
MIUI 3 : Release date... 4/1/2013 - 4/3/2013
Pretty much a basic build of MIUI, in the early stages not sure if I want to release it just yet due to the massive hiccups in the launcher and slowness in general.
Supreme Rom : Release date... 3/31/2013 - 4/1/2013 (will be a very basic build! Wont include "coming soon" items.)
Rom by me that is very smooth, and slim. This stock rom alternative is the first to be below 150mb. With the rom being only 148mb and having gapps that are 108mb.
Over all, pretty slim and smooth. This rom will feature the following...
- Stock features - Stock locker; Stock/Custom UI; Stock / AOKP Rom Control Settings.
- Theme Packs - Addons of themes, you can message me your desired theme idea, I will do my best to create it.
- Rom Control Settings - CPU; Customization; Themeing (This feature is taking me a while to script in Framework and Settings. Will come soon.)
- Good battery life and performance optimized build props / framework with battery optimization sys apps for good battery.
- Toggles - possibly customization but I just built the basic version and it will take a while to add the toggles. (coming soon.)
***Every thing that says "coming soon" could take an additional week, and delay the release of SupremeWiz Rom...
SupremeWiz Rom (Touchwiz / Galaxogen 2.0) : Release date... 4/1/2013 - 4/10/2013 (New base.)
Will be based off of Supreme Rom, which means camera will be working, it will be about 99.999999999% stable
Just decided to publish a few things while I was bored on break. Hopefully more to come along with a boot-loader unlock.
In a soon coming project I will be making a Tablet UI version of Stock.
Comment any ideas you would like to be added and I will look into it.
Nice nice and nice!
These roms and my bootloader unlock would be perfect together!!!
Thanks. Is there any way you could message me your progress?! I'm so excited for a cm10 / 10.1 camera fix and a Ubuntu kernel!
Great news! These mods will keep people using their AHD. You guys will do a great job for this community. Btw,I just tried CM10 from XT925 by Epinter. All seems working fine and smooth except camera. The rom needs a custom kernel which we can't since the lock bootloader.

Please update your previous ROMs (that includes ckkiller) to let users know -- in the OP -- that the ROMs are abandoned and will no longer be updated or supported.
And *do not* create a new thread when you finally upload Supreme: simply update the OP and message a Moderator to unlock your thread.
Lastly, why bother with MIUI if it'll only be partially working? Skip it altogether. We can easily flash MIUI from the RAZRHD. Good luck.
I know. And I can't upload till I'm verified. I only made that thread right away because I thought that I could upload immediately but now I have to wait to verify.

Hello everyone!
You might have read about OmniROM in XDA news. More info about the project: http://omnirom.org/ and http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2601.
I have compiled the first ever unofficial build of the rom from unpublished Gerrit sources and guess what, for the p880.
Screenshots: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2481797. This thread will be the discussion and Q&A thread for OmniROM. It will be officially supported and maintained by me.
Your a legend Adam, im very optimistic about this project and we must one of the first to get it! hows it run so far?
All standard features that I use works, except BT which is not that hard to fix. Some patches are needed and it'll work. Performance is crappy, because there is a bug in the kernel that makes only one core to be enabled. Will be pushing fixes and improvements here and there as it gets running. I'm really excited to work on this, this is sth I've been waiting for a long time.

I don't know what's going on, how can this already be smoother then the latest cm10.2 nightlies? I'm very impressed so far. I was just flashing to test but I think she's a keeper.
Only thing I've found is a little bit of lag on the default launcher.

I won't have to delete them, they will be hidden by default on devices which don't support those features. This is a very early build, the code wasn't even published yet when I compiled it.

Hello everyone, I'm sort of a newbie in ROM building, and decided to compile ParanoidAndroid nougat for hammerhead. I followed the instructions from - https://github.com/AOSPA/manifest
Once I run ./rom-build.sh hammerhead, it runs for about 15 seconds before giving me the error in the screenshot attached.

You'll need some knowledge to compile it. You need to import some features from bullhead or angler and adapt it.. It's kinda hard especially if you're starting. I advice you to start building AOSP first and learn from that.

Yo you are so ungrateful, show some respect! The only clown is you.
You clearly know nothing about what you are talking about. The Dev's behind AOSPA want to bring a quality ROM, they don't want to rush thing to take a step back in the Custom ROM scene and bring a buggy ROM, so instead they take their time to come up with something nice and good (probably). How fast a Dev can bring up a ROM and update it tells nothing about the quality of the ROM. AOSPA was awesome back in the JellyBean and KitKat days, I'm sure their Dev team is working hard to get back on that level. Instead of whining about them being slow with releasing, you could give them some help or just give it some time and be patience to see with what they are coming up with.

Fair question, maybe it's because those ROM's you talk about made a decision between bringing quality or fixing bugs fast. PA probably goes for bringing a quality ROM instead of rushing on things to fix bugs and bring a "half work" ROM. Who knows? I guess we will see eventually
