Need 1.29.401.12 RUU zip - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need 1.29.401.12 RUU zip . Can you help me, please? My phone is S-OFF, and hboot 1.44.
I have Guru Reset M7 2.24.161.1 and my CID is VODAP001.
I cannot flash Guru Reset M7 2.24.161.1 zip to fastboot because i always get this error:
C:\fastboot>fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
sending 'zip' (1128559 KB)...
OKAY [ 50.111s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) zip header checking...
(bootloader) zip info parsing...
FAILED (remote: 24 parsing android-info fail)
finished. total time: 66.335s
I would like to back to 100% stock system. It would be the last step, and after s-on.

1- you cannot flash a Guru Reset, you need to install it with custom recovery
2- there's no ruu, nor any backups (as far as i can see), you can do the following: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082&page=20 (post 197 through 208)

which ruu?
Since you are s-off you can put twrp recovery.img in a firmware.zip and flash it in ruu mode with fastboot flash zip firmware.zip. No need to unlock bootloader.
Also need android-info.txt in the firmware.zip, that's it.
Thanks

Also, if you really want to unlock bootloader, downgrade to hboot 1.4.4 and use revone to unlock. Then reflash GPE ruu.

Here is a firmware.zip containing TWRP 2.6.3.4 for m7ul that can be flashed in RUU mode with s-off: firmware_twrp.zip
Note: This firmware flashes TWRP recovery only, nothing else. All other firmware files (hboot, sbl, radio, etc.) will remain untouched. It does NOT factory reset, or erase /system or /data partitions.
To install, reboot into bootloader and then:
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware_twrp.zip
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Device will reboot into bootloader; select recovery and it will reboot into TWRP, then flash superuser/supersu to root.
Many Thanks

I think so it is because the bootloader are locked but can't fine a effective method to unlock it.
I downgrade hboot from 1.54 to 1.44 and have installed KK 4.4.2 google edition if this information can help to solve...
Thank you again.

So you were able to flash the RUU-HTC_One_GE-2.14.1700.15.zip conversion RUU in fastboot, but not the firmware_twrp.zip ? That doesn't make sense, since with s-off bootloader lock state shouldn't matter.
From what I've read the 'too many links' error can be a corrupt zip, or USB port/cable problem.
Have you tried to flash the recovery.img directly with: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
You could just unlock the bootloader with revone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2497712

I'm not sure that's the case; the error from attempting to flash in 'regular' fastboot mode is:

As far as I know (and tried... not this but other stuff), with a locked or relocked bootloader (I'm S-Off) any "fastboot flash ....." command will result in "FAILED (remote: not allowed)" or similar.
Basically, my conclusion:
A) "fastboot flash ...." (in normal mode) won't work unless UNLOCKED irrelevant whether S-On or S-Off
B) "fastboot flash zip ..." (in RUU mode) will only work if: LOCKED/RELOCKED with S-On, or S-Off and then lock status doesnt matter.
Many Thanks

If you downgraded hboot to 1.44 then use revone, @cschmitt gave you a link. Since you are having issues unlocking bootloader using fastboot, use revone to unlock it should work since you are on 1.44.

[Q] Latest Firmware Fails Fastboot

I was trying the unmodified firmware, and I believe that I AM S-ON, as I have never done anything special to get S-OFF.
I did try reissuing the command immediately after the fail a couple of times, and I did rename the firmware file as downloaded to firmware.zip
Thanks again!

yeah you have to relock your bootloader for the firmware to flash successfully. you can do this through the command "fastboot oem lock" in cmd that you opened in the same folder location as your fastboot binaries
BUT be careful because if you do this you will lose everything on your phone, including all of the stuff you have on your internal storage, etc. i just performed this operation yesterday and had gotten that same error before i re-locked

So I checked again and I was wrong, I'm not S-Off...that was my other HTC ONE, I thought I'd done the same to this one.
But Now I'm having problems...I want to do a firmware update to fix Viper 7.0.1 issues with data/connectivity but it's still not letting me.
Will I be able to flash the updated firmware in the full version with S-On?
I've being running RumRunner all day on different computers and different usb ports...still no luck

Try Firewater for s-off.
Yes you can flash the Full Firmware while s-on but you will have to re-lock your bootloader to do so which means unlocking again and wiping your phone.

Put the firewater file in your adb/fastboot/platform tools folder, open a cmd window then copy and paste the commands on the firewater site.

Can't RUU, FUU, or flash via FASTBOOT.
Trying to flash latest 3.30 firmware from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
trying to flash "3.30.651.2 Full Firmware from OTA (fastboot flashable)"
on my non HK device. Tried from various roms, including latest insert coin, and my original stock backup.
Installed htc sync to make sure drivers are correct, unintalled htc sync so it doesn't interfere.
firewater failed s-off.
unually says unknown error of some sort but nothing specific in any flashing methods.
any ideas helpfull.
Sprint_HTC_One_M8_3.30.651.2_RUU failed as well.

had a communication error with RUU, restarting things, trying again
I had a similar problem, so I bought a MicroSD card and trying flashing the RUU that way and it worked on the first try.
RUU went through. Now maybe by some chance firewater will work...

Most likely it won't and you'll need to use the Sunshine exploit.
Firewater won't work. If you look at my thread from a couple days ago I had the exact same issues. Ruu in fastboot, unlock bootloader, install twrp 281, and run sunshine.
