Xperia Z Issues

Hello,
This is my first Sony phone, so sorry if I'm asking a simple second question.
1) When using the phone underwater, it's great being able to take video and zoom, but the feature is pointless if we can't take photos because the screen won't work. Can Sony not be give the power button a mode that turns it into a camera shutter button?
2) When using a number of apps I've need to search. On my old HTC I could simply tap the search button. Is there no way that I can do a search in apps like Tweetdeck for example?
3) Could you please tell me how to add words to the dictionary that aren't in it already?
4) How do I sort my mobile bookmarks on Chrome alphabetically?

Smartwatch 2 not working right :(

Hi, i have a problem with my smartwatch 2. I just got it today and went threw the pairing process and what not but, when i want to go to the homescreen on the watch this happens i press the power button,press the home button, screen go's blank then goes back to the clock screen. Anyone experience this problem? ifso, i would i fix it? I tried re installing the software and unpairng etc and nothing works.

Update via phone
From page 14 of the user manual below:
Tap Update when a window appears on your Android™ device asking you to update your SmartWatch 2 to the latest software version
Support website
From the Home Screen on your SmartWatch 2, find and tap [settings icon]
Find and tap Support > Support site. The support website is opened on your Android™ device

View and download the Sony SmartWatch 2 start up guide below:
Not sure if this helps or not. If you go to clovedotcodotuk (replace dot with .) and click on news you will find the correct blog for this for the remaining instructions.

Thanks for the manual the problem is I cant even access the home menu.when I tap the home button the screen goes blank and then go back to the clock like its in a loop...

Have you installed the the SmartWatch 2 SW2 and Smart Connect apps from Play on your Z1?

[Q] Camera SCN gone!

Hi,
Sorry for the noob question but when I first turned on my brand new Z1, in manual camera mode there was a button SCN, for scene selection and HDR selection, ect.
After that, I updated both the camera software, and phone firmware to .257 and since I updated it, I don't seem to find the SCN option in the camera app anywhere.
Does anyone know if it was moved somwhere else, or the update wasn't done right?

Doesn't have that option in 20 MP. Change to 8

[Q] Z1 Not Recognizing Contact Names In Predictive Text and Swipe - Please Help :)

Hi,
I've used a V and SP before my Z1 and when I enable the swipe gesture, it can detect my contact names making it easier to text. But with my Z1 it cannot do that now? Any idea why if this was discontinued or has a separate setting?

What you mean with you can't? You are in swype mode and do not working or you try but it disappear or stop, or is like you writing and the swype start over again?

In my Xperia V and SP when I swipe a name from my contacts, it auto completes them eg Rain, Mark, John. But now, it becomes another word instead of my contact names.

vertical swipe on incoming calls

Hi guys
So, I got one of these 4x global last summer, and I'm very happy with this phone, but I have an issue with the vertical swipe to answer incoming calls
I'm used to the "normal" horizontal swipe from my previous phones (I had some Samsungs, and a couple of Sony's Xperia, still have an old Z1 compact when my 4x runs out of battery), and I just can't get used to this vertical swipe.
I did a search on google play apps for some call screen apps, and installed some 10 or so, but none of them worked well
My phone is running the stock Marshmallow 8.2.18.0 (by the way, it should have been already updated, but the update tool says there's no updates available)
Did any of you had the same issue? How did you solve it?

You're using MIUI's default phone app? Most of today's phone interface uses vertical swipe to answer calls. There's no setting available to change that from the app itself.
Maybe try to change the phone app, download from play store and see which one is good for you.

Yes man, I did it on MIUI 9 of my brother's. But it didn't help!
