Anyone can tell me if there is some problem with the camera? My wife N7000 turn black and freezes sometimes when doing pictures. this happened also with CM10.2.
So now i'm really not sure if the N7000 has a problem or is it just CM10 and now Omnirom wich have a problem with hardcore camera users?
Baseband dosn't have something todo with camera or?
There is no problem with camera on cm10.2. If you want to be sure, flash a stock rom and test.
Pls check:
1. Did you use Continous Shot Mode and with Flash On? I had some camera crash experience in that mode.
2. Did you install APPS like keeping screen on while reading? If so, disable those APPS to check if it is the problem.
Remember: the best camera performance is on the stock ROM.

Hmm... do you install the rom through CWM on a proper procedure? Coz i have no problems at all...

It was fine when i rooted last month, only happened last 2day when i ean to use it
If u could elaborate how u install the RC2, maybe i could help n find the solution for u.... its quite simple actually... sometimes slight mistake in installing, can make it go wrong... i know coz i have been doing it since i got my xperia x8 a year ago... if u cn try to install rc1 first then upgrade to rc2...

1.flash rc1 via CWM
2.flash rec2 via CWM from rc1
and this would make RC2 work better
i usually have flashed RC2 strait via CWM
kindly explain on the same

flash rc1 via CWM? weird... i flash my rc1 using SUT software as the file was in .nbo then start flashing rc2 via CWM. i wouldnt dare to flash rc2 straight because from my opinion, rc1 is a base firmware and therefore i think its best and play safe to go a long way rather to be sorry.

install over rc1 only i suffered huge losses due to flashing rc2 over stock rom..
nd by losses i mean
camera dont work fine
fm not working "force close"
facebook not working "essential for me"
and also there are so many system issues as rc2 and stock rom are diffrently build try first rc1 and then upgrade to rc2

if it is MIUI,try freezing Google Talk as in the previous version. I got mine working after doing the same.
I face the same problem camera crashed when i tried to turn the front one on then right after no any camera app can open it and not responding, forceclose all the time. I use ROM CM7.1.0 by Napstar. Help me fix this pls.

It's probably the kernel problem. Just like mine, but I'm using MIUI, MIUI kernel 1.9.30 has the same bug, the latest kernel (1.10.21) fix the camera and work again.
Just like deatbearer said, you've to flash stock ROM or Andro-ID RC2 or MIUI 1.10.21.
Thought a lot about purchasing this mobile as it known having issues with camera, however decided to get it.
Got this phone few hours back, verified at the spice outlet whether camera is working or not, was working there.. Back to office and camera got frozen, showing black screen...
In the mean time, was playing with screen (live wallpapers) and suddenly camera application got invoked (not sure how) & working fine - able to take snaps ... again after 30 mins..i tried camera and again it start showing black screen....
Upgraded to gingerbread from spice site... and camera is good now... not sure how to fix the camera if goes black again & i didn't do anything earlier to fix it... it was all by itself switching to cooperative & non-cooperative modes ...

Yes, I think you have to flash that ROM. Just like you flash your CM7, use Andro-ID RC2.
was getting a lot of camera problems on stock firmware,
so flashed it with RC2... never had the problem again
Was working Fine on MIUI too
now using CM7 Still Working

Just search down the thread! It's there for a reason Or just backup your current ROM, flash PA and look at the bugs yourself. If it's too buggy, restore your backup and that's it.
Yea, its a hybrid tho, and is inactive.. I suggest u wait for szezso to iron out bugs on CyanVIVOx... I am looking forward to that..

I guess it wouldn't work cause it's JellyBean. I would also say, wait for bugless CyanVIVO, it's the most likely case here

I was earlier running IceColdSandwich 8.3. I had faced the wifi issue but it got resolved after I re-flashed the ROM.. post that I haven't faced that issue again.. Apart from this I found that ROM pretty stable..
Further some of the Paranoid bugs which I know:
1. front camera won't work
2. Wifi reception is weak
3. Adjusting in call volume resets the ringtone volume
4. Google now may not work..
5. tablet mode won't have an option to enable USB connectivity...
...
But I would still suggest you give it a try:
1. It is a different experience altogether - not many tweaks is what I found but a visual delight
2. the camera issue can be resolved if you flash the 4.2 camera: there is a flashable zip in the forum which will update the 4.1 camera to 4.2 and the clock and gmail too.

If Google Now doesn't work, I once posted a link to a flashable .zip in the dev-section. Search it up, it should work flawlessly
why all ROMs based on Android 4.2.2 (Mackay, Avatar, Wizardrom, CyanogenMod .... etc) after closing gallery or the camera phone RAM decreases slowly and then restarts.? I installed lgcamera and still the same happens. I installed advanced task manager and still nothing. I can not make this thing happen again any time? is a rom that does not have this bug?

What kernel are you using? As for the camera I find that the ICS camera works wonderfuly. Could you elaborate on how things are restarting... is it your phone rebooting or the process in task manager?

It .happens with 4.2.2 roms. Ddnt try on nightlies. Using camera and gallery causes soft reboots. Dont you get this with cm10.1?

this thing happens with all ROMs based on 4.2.0-4.2.2. including CyanogenMod nightly. is a rom that does not experience this problem?
Why do so many developers all ROMs based on Android 4.2.2 and all have the same bug? why not focus on bug you all have? too many ROMs with the same bug. most stable rom that I've tried is Shendu 4.1.2. how can I decrease the brightness of LEDs?

phone restarts RAM decreases slowly and reaches 25% when the phone restarts. I tried almost all ROMs based 4.2.1-4.2.2 all happens the same. I close galery or camera. Excuse poor English using Google Translate ...

You could try Paranoid Android 4.1.2 on v2.99 it worked fine for me. The only issue is that sometimes the SD card gets unmounted, other then that it works fine and doesn't crash my phone

My question is here: what ROM I have to flash if I want a decent flash.
I explain: in arararagi ROM (CM 4.3 costumized) I have a retard flash. After pressing the button it takes 10 seconds to take the photo.
I'm not here to solve the problem but for have some REPORTS of people with various ROMs and different camera apps.
Can you post your rom and if you have this problem, or if I have to fresh-install my ROM etc...

Hi. I think i am having good flash with carbon 19/9 (focal) and iodak v8 kernel.
Flash triggers instantly when shutter is pressed then focus about 1 sec and it takes picture with decent quality i think.
I did clean flash (format system).

I'm on the new CyanogenMod v11 for the Honami. I've a few questions about it..
The first time I installed the rom, the camera worked fine. But after flashing the .681 stock fw and going back to cm11, sometimes the camera is not available or fc.
Also I'd like to get some tips on how to install the z1 stock camera for the cm11. I already tied to flash the z1 camera port but that gave my a bootloop.
I hope you can help.

You cant use stock sony apps on CM
You need to clear data/dalvik etc in recovery then flash the CM .zip to ensure full working Cm rom

I'd like to run my Z1 on cm11. But also with the camera from the stock 4.4.2 fw by flashing this one:

Ok, that's news to me, however it needs a lot of work, so I suggest asking someone who works in cm to do it. Those apps that already have been preyed are not nearly as complicated as the camera to port
