Hi everyone I'm new to the bionic and was wondering if there's a way to root using windows 7? All I keep seeing are ways for Ubuntu or Linux :-/

Either run a live Linux disc or install Linux on a VM. Last I checked there wasn't a way in Windows. Its very easy to do.

[Q] Ubuntu Touch...?

Considering we now have working cm10, is it a possibility, or even a current project to bring Ubuntu touch here? I know this has been asked before, but I don't think we had unlocked boot loader then. Thanks in advance.

If we had this with LapDock... I'd give my firstborn...
I'm just fascinated with Ubuntu touch and want to see if it is worth my time. Ubuntu desktop despises my computer and refuses to work properly.

I've actually got a good question to go with this. Would our current cm kernel work with Ubuntu?

HTC Unlock w/Win8?

Has anyone done the HTC dev unlock using Windows? I had to go to Windows 7 to get the drivers to install so I could get my Evo 4G LTE back to stock to trade it in for the ONE.

Yes I'm using windows 8. I had to put the drivers into the windows/syswow64 folder for them to install correctly. No issues since then

I couldn't do anything on the lte but the one was really easy on windows 8. It was like day and night.

I didn't have a single issue. Just installed HTC drivers per the norm and went through the rooting steps.

I'm running win 8.1 in parallels. When I run the oneclickbin and odin starts, I don't get that "added" message. I know the phone is connected, because Kies works fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I ran mine on Windows 7 make sure you install all the USB drivers. I had the same problem until I installed them and did a simple reboot and it showed it up.
