Hi all, just got the T today. Everything works fine except I cant get the wifi to work, It detects my wifi network but when I connect to it it tries and eventually says authentication problem. I am on stock 4.1.2.
Thanks.

Yes, I have used it with numerous phones and laptops etc and never had any trouble with it. I am going to try flash a ftf and see if it fixes it.
That didnt help it, I also flashed Miui and it still doesnt work.
If it makes any difference my phones bootloader cannot be unlocked.

Umm, did you try to change the safty to WPA2?
Might also be a problem with the WiFi module.. Maybe try the warranty service, if your phone is new?

No, I bought it second hand, I managed to get it to connect once earlier after removing security but its not working anymore.
Edit: When I have no security on the phones says "obtaining ip address" for about 20 seconds and then seems to reset itself and repeat.

My wifi is constantly getting disconnected. I have to reconnect many times a day. This is really getting frustrating. It was working fine(very much FINE) on froyo 2.2.1 xxkb3 rooted and deodexed but after i updated to 2.3.4 gingerbread, this problem began! Is there someone who might be knowing what the problem is????
First i tried stock XXKPH, then i tried after CF root and after that i thought a custom ROM might help so i installed GanaROM but wifi is not working properly in any one of them. It is getting diconnected if i don't use it for like 5-10 minutes. And i have even turned the wifi sleep policy in the advanced wifi settings to NEVER. But still!!

I have the problem like this. Can you try to ping 8.8.8.8 from console of your phone? I have almost 80% of lost packets. If you will see this, you have to change your WiFi router. I've tested my phone with 3 routers and only with Asus 520GU I can't use WiFi with GB (with Froyo all is perfect)

Yes, I have this problem and still don't have solution. That's why I'm at Froyo. I don't want to change my home WiFi router if I'm not sure that the phone will work with new one.

1) My phone has a problem where i find that it has got no data connection despite having data enabled. During this time i cant receive calls, texts and data connection.
2) Also I have another issue where it shows i have no signal but i have connection (See attached image).
Note: WiFi was turned on but not connected to router. Picture clearly shows i was connected online on steam. I could also browse on chrome etc.
Any ideas what's wrong? is it firmware or a defect in my XT?
Edit: Im on stock firmware. 3 branding.

I'm on last firmware found on sonymobile.com. I hope it's something firmware/software related.
I had the same issue with my ARC S but touch wood havent had this issue with my Xperia T after a month of use.

Very strange I thought the problem had just gone away, not had that issue for a few weeks, but today it happened again.
For me it happens more on the .195 software then the .303
Ill try dig out more info, maybe I or soneone can solve it.

My Xperia T disconnects from Wi-fi automatically. One minute it is connected and running fine but suddenly it disconnects and shows out of range. Strangely this happens only on stock or stock based rom. Wi-Fi runs fine when running CM10.1. So i guess its not hardware issue. I would use CM10.1 but its so unreliable. I missed several important calls due to sudden reboot in CM10.1 and in stock I cant use my Wi-Fi properly. It disconnects automatically. I have tried every wifi setting combination but none of them work. I am frustrated because of this. I have treid every firmware from from ICS to latest .145. But nothing is helping. Is there some kind of wifi power saver that i can disable or maybe i can update wifi driver in my xperia T. I am in desperate need of solution. Please help me. :crying:
Tough one... have you gone into Settings, then Power Management? There is "extended standby mode" option on my phone that seems like it would turn the wifi off while the phone is idling.
Also, is this on any wifi connection? Or mainly your home wifi? It would be worth having a look at the website of your router's manufacturer to see if there is a new firmware available for your wireless router.
I would like to suggest trying stock firmwares from other regions but I don't know how safe that is. Is your phone an LT30a? LT30p?
Right now I'm using LT30p_9.1_A.1.141_PL on my LT30a (Bell) and wifi is quite solid.

It never happened before until we upgraded the system to the latest lollipop.

I had similar problem, my phone had a little problem with authentication and regular disconnecting from wifi. I tried many things like hard reset, software update, router software update etc. even I came back from Marshmallow to Lollipop for a while, but nothing helped me. The solution turned out to be channel in my router. I changed it to 3 after that to 13 - but my phone works only with default channels like 6 or 8. After change my wifi get back to life and now work perfectly. Try it in your case
Channel - This field determines which operating frequency will be used. It is not necessary to change the wireless channel unless you notice interference problems with another nearby access point.

Ok, my warranty expired too! I also tried software repair and still not working and i now see that Bluetooth also is not working.
Hey guys. I fixed this on my phone about a month ago. So far no one has commented if it has helped them or not, but here is my post again. Let me know if it helps.
I had this problem on my Z3c for a while (as well as no wifi or bluetooth). My device is well out of warranty. I received a RMA number last week to send it in in hopes that it would be an affordable fix. I was getting it ready to send out today and decided to try a couple more things.
As others have said, I went in to the diagnostics and test the WiFi (passed) Bluetooth (passed) and GPS (failed). I then decided to test WiFi and Bluetooth a couple more times to see if it would eventually fail. It never did. After that, I went to turn WiFi on manually and to my suprise.... it turned on! Bluetooth and GPS were also magically working.
Before this I had tried numerous factory resets, diferent android versions, different roms (without unlocking the bootloader) with no success. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but hopefully it can work for some of you!

I have exactly the same problem but only one thing is different that my Bluetooth is working. There only problem is wifi. I belive that is no hardware problem. There must be some kind of glitch in software where you accidentally doing this things jumped over. I have tried your tip. No success. Im going to do this every day to see if I have luck. My Bluetooth and wifi passing test every time GPS is failing.
