[Q] Miracast over scanning? - Moto X Q&A

I have been using miracast with my Moto X and this device and it works well for the most part, but the edges of the display get cut off on my TV. Anyone else have this issue/a fix for it?

You need a Wireless router connected to your PC/Laptop + Google Chromecast to do that.
However, AFAIK Chromecast support for our device is not tested yet...but Motorola (in their support forum) previously said that it'll be added with the Lollipop update.
Hope it helps!

screen mirroring

So in my opinion, the fact that Samsung removed the MHL capabilities from the device was a huge step backwards. I had been using my galaxy s4 to stream movies to my tv and it worked perfectly. Now I have to screen mirror to my Amazon Fire Tv box and HOLY LAG! It is horrible, almost un-watchable. The only use for this i can see would be a power-point presentation. Has anyone else had this issue and better yet, has anyone found a solution? Besides getting a different phone that still has MHL?

Screen Mirroring / Miracast / Streaming does not work

Hello,
I hope you have a solution and can help me.
I just can not get the screen of the X4 mirrored on another device.
Whether it's Chromecast, Fire TV Stick or just my Smart TV ...
With my old Nexus 5 it works, with my Umi Plus-E too.
Have already tried Miracast Apps, but it just does not work.
By default Moto X4 supporting chrome cast devices(I didn't tried) but not Miracast, Then i have unlocked the boot loader and change the value of build.prop file of wireless display(deleted the #). Now i am able to cast my screen in Miracast devices as well.
Ok, thanks, now I've been able to connect to Chromecast.
With the original smartphone, it is not possible to connect to the Fire TV?

Moto X4 screen cast problem

I am using the Connect app on Windows 10 to cast my Moto X4's screen on my laptop. But despite having a cast option in the quick settings, my phone's screen still doesn't cast on my laptop. Please help.
Do you have edited build.prop?

Anyone tried the AnyCast M9 Plus to mirror their screen on TV ?

Hey guys,
So I have a 2011 Samsung Smart TV in my living room. Since it's quite old it doesn't fully support screen mirroring unless it's done via a HDMI cable. I say fully because Smart View works with certain Samsung apps like the Gallery, Music & Video player but it won't do the actual screen mirroring of my entire phone screen. Seeing how we got wireless DeX with the OneUI 2.5 update, I'd like to enable my TV to work with screen mirroring and wireless DeX. Has anyone bought the AnyCast M9 Plus dongle & used screen mirroring with it? What's the experience with it? I won't play games but will mostly use wireless DeX to watch online videos via the browser. Any input is really appreciated Thinking of buying the AnyCast M9 Plus but would be nice to hear how it works from someone who has it and uses or has had and used it.
