WiFi notice and highlights - Sprint HTC One (M7)

So is anyone else annoyed by the gallery always making a highlights folder? I was wondering if there was a way to remove that. Also the stupid pop up about using WiFi. Thanks in advance

Not sure about the Highlights album, but I think you can get rid of the WiFi popup by going to Settings > Wifi > Click the menu button > Settings/Advanced > Uncheck the "Notify me about an open WiFi network" or something like that.

Disable 'Multiple Wireless Networks Detected'

Hey, I've searched and come up fruitless. I thought I'd try it here.
I work in a data center environment and oddly we have customers running wireless networks in the data center. This makes my phone pop up 'multiple wireless networks detected' quite frequently and I always have to dismiss... but later on it always comes back up (even if I click 'don't show this again')
Any method to stop the notifications? I suppose I could disable WLAN, but if I could disable notifications that'd be best.
All you have to do is instead of clicking dismiss on the left corner of the screen click menu to the right and click the do not notify button. It might not say do not notify but it should be close to that.
That or go to sounds and notifications -> notifications ->wireless network detected uncheck everything there

Well thats not true as it's quieter(!), but the on screen message still pops up.
Try This
Here is a program i made that fixes this problem for the HTC touch pro, let me know if it works on your device.

leaked XXLSA JB ROM issue

Hello,
A few days ago i installed this ROM, and after restoring my apps, and setting things up i got the next issue.
Whether i'm in the home screen, apps menu or widgets menu, every time i change pages, my Notes says "page x of y". Further more, if i have a folder in the apps menu and i open it, it says "folder open". And when it's closed: "folder closed". And as you can imagine, it's quite annoying.
Now, i have disabled (actually frezed with TB) talkback, disabled "speak password" (or wherever it is the english translation), and disabled scripts web (i had a similar issuer in ICS that i solved disabling this: when using the explorer or flipboard the note read me the content).
Also, i've digged in into all settings and i haven't been able to find how to stop this...
Do you have any idea of what's going on?
anyone?

[Q] voice on scrolling

When I scroll from one screen to the next, a voice tells me to which screen I am going, like: four from six. Does anyone. know how I can disable this option? I searched all the settings, but I found nothing. The voice keeps on going, even when the sound of the phone is completly turned off.
Go to settings-accessibility and disable talk back. Hit thanks if it works!

disable everything in Accessibility
If the above still doesn't work or you don't want to suitable all accessibility, go to settings > application manager > all > then scroll to find Google text to speech and disable it, then scroll to find Samsung tts and disable it.

Hi guys,
I wasnwondering if there is any way to change the sharing options in air command? I am particularly annoyed that I can't select something with smart select and share it via google hangouts.
Thanks in advance.

Couldn't find options menu for sharing but it does allow smart select to share with hangouts.

Thanks for responding. Most of the time mine appears without Hangouts, sometimes it appears with (both shown below). Can't figure out why it's doing it but it's really annoying! :crying:

Is there any way to choose custom sounds for notifications?

I accidentally selected the phone storage for the location to search for sounds before I changed to settings to always ask and even though I hit cancel at the time I'm stuck with this selection. I made the choice in the Android messages app and tried settings>apps>messages>clear defaults but it didn't change and now I noticed that it's my only choice for other notification sound in other apps too! What am I missing? How do I get it to let me pick the path every time now?
I use Google's messages so I never saw anything that let me choose (also unrooted), but any sounds placed in to notifications folder on the root of the phone and sdcard can be choosen. Just note that it would use the meta tag info, if there are none then it just shows up on list as an entry called 'sound' (possible to have multiple sound entry)

Hmmm... Android message? or the Built in message? Anyway, you could try installing Zedge (ringtones app) and then from within the app try to change the sound. Maybe it will prompt you to reselect the location?

Both apps actually, all notification sounds go to the stick sounds. I can set a sound from Zedge but not to a specific contact or app. I'm looking to get the options back when I click on notification sound in an app.
As a long shot you could try resetting the sound picker app

I don't know which app that is
I ended up just clearing all defaults. It sucks but I couldn't pin point the app.

Well. At least you got it. But for future reference... Maybe look in Settings...Apps... then click on the top right 3 dots.
I found some interesting default apps options.
You can select different ringtones for different contacts. Select a contact you want to change the ringtone for (make sure you've previously downloaded the ringtone you want) and then edit. Scroll down to more then at the bottom of the options you can choose a custom ringtone and message tone.

Ok. Settings...Apps...3 Dots top right corner...Default Apps....Default App Selection....Ask before setting default apps.
You're going to need to clear the default for the app first...then redo it....it will ask, Just once...or Always.

This is what I did after I made my selection. The problem was I couldn't locate the app that kept me from selecting it in notifications do I cleared all defaults. Not a complete loss but mildly inconvenient.

Yeah, unfortunately that would be the only way (since you don't remember the app)...that way, when you select...the option should pop up everytime, as long as you select Just Once everytime.
I'm having the same issue but that options to change message tone is not available on the Oreo Beta, hope the include it in the final build.

Possibly. Although the Contacts app is made by Samsung and isn't included in Android stock (as far as I know). So you might just have the most stable version available whilst they tweak it to work with Oreo.
I personally don't use it as no one ever messages me/calls me.

And yet you still paid a large amount of money for this phone...
Bet you'd also have a panic attack if you realised you'd left it at home too...
