I have two questions about charging dock:
1) Exist any charging dock for xperia z1 which I connect to USB and can use phone with computer while charging?
2) How about battery, if phone is in dock whole day and many times will be take out and put back - can this shorten xperia z1 battery life?

Hi! I just bought the LG-ND5520 dock (Dual, for Micro USB and iPhone connectors), and when I connect my Xperia T it doesn't charge the battery at all.
In other side, it charges perfectly a LG Optimus Hub and a LG L7, I supposed because of the brand, but, doesn't it have to use an standard current to charge android phones? or is a problem with some Xperia configuration? or Sony personalization?
The dock only charges the phone, it doesn't use the connection for reading files or anything else, it uses Bluetooth for pairing, and that's why I would like to be able to charge the Xperia T when docked (BT really drain up the battery).
I've tried letting the Xperia plugged in for a while and the battery only goes down. When I plug it on the dock nothing pops up or sound, it looks like nothing is connected. I also would like to be able to program actions in the Smart Connect app, but it doesn't recognize the connection.

Thats because the USB port does not have the enough power to supply the charger, the charger works with 1500mAh and the USB port 3.0 "only" with 900 max, that means that it will take longer to charge your phone and the dock and phone could over heat. Besides doing this often you will be decreasing the battery life of your Xperia Z1

Thank for you reply. But I have another question.
So, you mean that charging via usb port connect to PC (mini usb port not the magnetic) is not recommend too?
And I confuse about this --> I think, Charging with High current will be hotter, so AC adapter with 1500 mA must be drain my battery life more than USB (via PC)?.

In USB charging mode, your Android device charges slowly, only drawing a maximum of 500ma from the USB host device, even if that device is a USB charger that is capable of supplying much more power, this means that your phone will take longer to charge, but there are cases where this process makes your phne overheat
there are several opinions about USB charging, the 2 most commons are. 1 your phone takes longer to charge and the battery charges better, and 2. the battery takes longer to charge and the battery life decreases.
So, in my opinion, I use the dock and the battery life is great, almost 18 hours with 4.5 hours on screen,
maybe you should make some test and post how was it
PS in all opinions some says that the battery life increases and other says that decreases, in both cases i think you will never notice
regards
Hi, I would like to ask if there is anyone of you happen to be via a docking station charge the phone for a long time ? Yesterday I played Real Racing 3 which understandably draining battery as hell , so I put the phone in the dock station and keep playing RR3 but battery had been keep drained so I turned off the game and tried simply just looking over the net with the phone still embedded in the dock but situation has been the same percentages keep going down . So I turned off the display and let it charge if it stabilizes . I've found that one percent will be charged in 5 minutes which means over eight hours to full charge . I've tried to force kill Smart Connect (I've read that might be solution for this unusual draining) but nothing hapens...even about 2 times that process Smart Connect itself again launched and let notification popped. Otherwise I've tried to kill all applications to sure that no application is taking battery time. My charging set is :
1x Dock M36H
1x USB charger original manufacturer
1 MicroUSB cable length 2m (buying longer because of log distance of the socket)
My observation is that it could cause just that long cable because when I charge the phone with shorter on one side connected to the dock and on the other side to the PC and it worked flawlessly , and the phone has been around for 3h charged . Do you have some experience with it ? Or cable length does not affect the charge? Thank you for your insights
not only the length, the built quality is important too (armoring and connectors). the more tick it will be the better results you'll have (transfer speed and charging efficiency). for the dock I advise a cable of 1 meter only if it's cheap.
Made in ZR
To further test and see if your extension cable is faulty:
connect the extension cable directly to the phone itself, not the dock and see how fast it charges compare to the stock. You can also download the app called better battery status as it shows the actual charging current. by comparing using just stock cable vs added extension, it should give you a better idea.
Hi people
I have a Sony xperia SP C5306.
When I connect it with my LCD with a MHL adapter, it works fine except for one thing:
I connect the adapter to the phone, connect the charger to the adapter, and the battery begins to receive charge.
But when I connect the HDMI cable to the adapter, the battery stops being charged (the lightning bolt on the charging icon disappears), and I receive a message that the battery is not being charged.
If I disconnect the HDMI cable, the battery restarts charging.
Have you guys any idea about what's going on?
You need a charger with more mA, maybe 2500mA
Hi my son has got a Z1 & the charging port pins have broken off, I have bought a charging dock but this doesn't seem to want to still charge the phone? Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? Thank you

Unfortunately dock arrive today and still not charging
do you have this app called DIAGNOSTICS?
You can check CHARGING from there, if your phone still has batt...
Then connect charger and see if it detects..
