[Q] Flashtool doesn't recognize my Z

I know this sound like newbie and I start thinking I'm newbie right now.
Yesterday I have my Xperia Z (C6602) Region TH. flashed to DoCoMo and it was working perfectly except a little thing. It has a lot of bloatware so I managed to get root and uninstall a lot of them. Hour later OTA arrive so I install it and my phone stop the networking. 3G and Wi-Fi working really strange (I supposed to know this is Baseband problem not because I uninstall DoCoMo bloatware carelessly)
So I use Flashtool to flash DoCoMo (101.D.0.333) again and realized later that it was not my careless uninstall. It was OTA that kill my phone feature so I tried flash my region Firmware (10.1.A.1.434) to get the baseband back and flash DoCoMo fw without baseband again later.
And my problem starting from here. The phone not recognized on Flashtool (it say "Cannot identify your device") and it ask me to input what my model is (So I choose C660x) and it make my phone ready to flash once I put it to flashmode. But no, once I put it to flashmode flashtool itself couldn't recognize my phone is in the state ready to flashing so it keep saying my phone need to put in to flashmode by press Vol.down while plug the USB.
I have no idea how to fix this. I already tried uninstall-reinstall the USB driver. Try SO-02E driver (which is the same as Xperia Z) but it still not working.
And each time my phone reboot it keep asking me to choose the language and tell me to put the DoCoMo sim. Does this mean I need to put the sim first to make the phone pass the state on Unboxing?
All I need right now is to flash my region FW back first. (Or maybe find some way to make radio.zip from FTF). Should I root and put a recovery into my LOCKED bootloader and find some way to install radio?

First ask the Mod to move the thread to Q&A.

Oh just saw that I really put it in a wrong section. And yes, I'm using Beta6. It was working fine until I flash it again today (was working after OTA, but no, not working for now)

NFC doesn't work after the 253 update.

So like the title.I updated my device to the new fw and NFC isn't ticking.
Any possible way to fix?

How did you update it? Sony PC Companion, flashtool other?
PC Companion should have NFC working fine, if not Sony Update service it definitely works that's how I updated mine

after updating firmware it start to update NFC firmware
so did u get it successfully? any net error during updating or sth like this?

FYI In some roms it is working but the icon does not appear.

This fix for rooting not nfc icon.
To enable the icon you have to edit the built.prop

I updated full clean Rom with full wipe via SUS and nfc can be ticked, but no icon in notification bar.
Stock Australian 253 and build prop says ro.nfc.icon.enable=false.
Which means no icon shown. So nfc still works, just no icon...

Reflash you phone, at the end of the install you should get NFC firmware upgrade displayed on the screen

I have seen numerous confirmations that flashing the ROM straight back over top fixes the issue.

Hi there, I have the same problem. I can't tick on NFC on setting. My device is SO-02E, flashed with 253 Central Europe rom. I try to find directory data/usf but I can't find it anyway ( my device is unrooted ). Does anyone know how to fix it ?

Unfortunately it doesn't mate. Some 253 roms have the icon disabled. It still works but having no icon led to my battery draining fast for 2 days until I realized nfc was on
My Aus 253 update from 434 via PC Companion had this issue. No matter how many timed I flashed, wiped, repaired with SUS, nothing worked just like the 434 Rom.
Your upload of 253 has nfc working straight away.

Thats good news, this NFC issue reported is very hit and miss what works and doesn't work.

[C6602] All data wiped everytime rebooting the phone

Hi all,
I have a C6602, here is the case:
- The phone is running okay without any problem.
- Installed a custom rom for C660X.
- Re-flashed STOCK rom for C6603.
And the problem came after then:
- Everytime I plug in the charger, a promo video is playing (just like some phones in the showroom)
- Everytime I reboot (shutdown and turn on) the phone, all settings and pictures (shot by camera app) are gone.
Re-flashed C6602 stock rom (with wipe data option checked) many times but there is no luck
Does anyone face with this problem before , please help!

In most cases, it's okay to cross-flashing between c6602 and c6603 fw

Yes that is correct, you can cross flash c6602 and c6603.
Regarding video playing while charging, I suspect it to be DayDream.
Can you check and confirm in Settings -> Display -> DayDream is off?

[Help] Phone not booting only going into flash mode or bootloader mode

Hello all. i encountered a problem with my Z1. i install MI-stone_UI LB Alpha 1. to see if it works and it installed fine but when i rebooted there was no sony logo just a vibrate. i can still enter flash mode if thats works

Just fastboot kernel with doom kernel (I think there's recovery in that package).
Or if you want flash 534 stock firmware using flashtool and follow procedure to get rooted KK...

Restore your backup (you did make a backup before flashing a rom didn't you)
If not, just flash another rom

i did make a backup but i cant flash a ftf due to mega being really slow for a random reason.
C6903 FTF Please

Why do you need a ftf? Install recovery and restore your backup

i was on ihackers 4.1 rom and i cant unlock bootloader due to EE (UK) saying no to it. Says in Service info
EDIT: Its is flashing. Wish me luck. Im only 13 and rooted about 5 devices

Good News: Flashing was a Success. So i flashed recovery on it and restored my backup Thanks for the help. i thanked you two

Phone bricked and only backup has broken md5

Hey guys
Just bricked my phone while trying to restore a backup too my phone just to find out that philz recovery generated a wrong md5 where can I disable this option cause I can't find it anywhere

if you used philz recovery that always give me that problem try using cwm never happens with that hope that helps happend to me a few times with restoring backups:good:

if you can try flashing doomkernel .205 and then restore with cwm
