Hi so I have cm7 7.0.2 on my nexus one. Today it froze on the unlock screen, as it has a few times before since I put cm7 on my phone, so I did a battery pull, and then it wouldn't turn on. I plugged it into my charger, and now it turns on, but just goes to the colored X screen, and then reboots in a loop, over and over again.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
Use something like RUU to go back to stock then root your phone and if you have a backup on your recovery select that once you are done setting it back to stock.

Did you do OEM UNLOCK? if you didyou can simply boot into the bootloader and then choose recovery and from there you can re flash your rom
this is exactly what happen to my phone. say good bye to our nexus one my friend, i don't think we can fix it. it's been a week.

I wouldn't bet on it, if it's simply in a boot loop then it's perfectly fixable. Go into the bootloader by holding the volume button while turning on the phone. Navigate to the recovery option using the volume buttons and confirm using the power button. From here you can wipe/restore nandroid/flash CM7 again. Also, you don't need to unlock the bootloader to do any of this.

thanks, but that's what i do, when i can't boot. it's stuck on x when i try boot to recovery, and flash boot, recovery, system, not changed the situation.
ok, i am not an expert, but just brainstorming here based on what i understood while flashing mine..
download a recovery image to your PC
get into bootloader mode on the nexus, connect it to ur pc, select the fastboot usb option on ur fone
open windows console
type:
fastboot flash recovery <image file path> and press enter.
fastboot can be located inside android-sdk. so make sure you have your present working directory set to the path of "fastboot.exe"(e.g. c:\android\android-sdk\tools)

You will either have to run PASSIMG.zip (The forums have good guides on this) or unlock your bootloader and flash the individual .img files through bootloader/fastboot.

Did you try he fastboot erase commands first? I'm not at my computer to write a quick guide but if you still need it in a few hours ill write it up. If it still gets stuck in a bootloop after that then your device is probably bricked

nexus one not rebooting after the battery drained
I am currently in the same situation. In my case the battery drained completely. I removed the battery and disconnected the charger. In the past this worked. Now what I get is the colorful X.
What I can do:
Fastboot via power and the "pearl"
Go into the boot menu via volume down and power
No matter what I chose after that I get to the same X. While this seemed promising none of the following worked:
reflashing recovery
Reflashing back to stock of radio/recovery/system/boot/
replacing battery
Any other thoughts?
Before wipe all your data on your phone in the recovery and reinstall passimg.zip

I originally had CM 10.1.3 on my Atrix hd but i wanted to try the unnofficial pacman rom, so i went into CWM recovery, made a backup, factory reset, wiped /system, cache, blah blach but when installing pacman rom i got status 7 so i didnt feel like using a zipping program to fix it, then i went to reboot recovery and bam, stuck on the unlocked bootloader screen, i tried ALL fastboot options, none will get past this unlocked bootloader screen and the phone tuns on all by itself and there's no way to pull the damn battery, please don't tell me my phone i screwed. What do i do?
IM literally on the brink of crying
Chill. You probably just had a bad download of the zip. Do you have a backup from a previous ROM?

Why did you reboot recovery? Unplug your phone, press the power button to turn it off, then hold both power buttons and press the power button until a list comes up, go into recovery, wipe user data/system and restore your backup. We have an official PAC ROM now, use that.

It seems like when you hold down power to shut off your phone, it won't stay off, correct? This means you need to quickly press the button combo (Power + Both Vol Buttons) as soon as it shuts off, it should come up with a list of black and white options. If you don't have a Nandroid recovery, then you will use Vol Down to highlight the AP Fastboot option and Vol Up to select it, if you do, then select the Recovery option and proceed restoring from there. When in fastboot mode, use RSD Lite to flash back to a stock firmware. Your phone is far from bricked. If you keep rebooting to Bootloader Unlocked screen no matter what option you choose, you may have to look into buying or making a Fastboot Cable. This will force your device into Fastboot mode so you can flash a stock ROM, I doubt this will be necessary though. If your phone can turn on, it isn't hard bricked. You're in the clear, don't worry.
RSD Lite Guide and Download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231249
Download link to stock firmware: http://sbfdownload.droid-developers...MB886_NII_TA-2-16-release-keys-NII-MX.xml.zip
Don't forget to replace your XML file with the one here: https://www.box.com/s/num1eshkf0c2or2h4160
Just go into your firmware zip, delete the old .xml, and drag in the new one. Start the RSD flash, sit back, relax, make sure (if you are using one) that your laptop is either connected to power or has sufficient battery life, and that you don't unplug your cable during flash.

I tried that and it just goes straight to the unlocked bootloader screen, so how to i make a fastboot cable?
You can look up a guide on Google. It requires a bit of rewiring/soldering of your Motorola cable though. If you aren't comfortable with that stuff, you can buy one for Atrix HD for like $5-$10

Great! The fastboot cable should force it into fastboot, just plug it into your PC during the time your phone is off. You may have to let it charge for a bit. From there its only a matter of flashing stock ROM.
It may be called Motorola Factory Cable or Motorola Fastboot Cable, either one. Just make sure you get a Motorola Atrix HD one lol

Hi guys,
I unlocked the Bootloader of my Razer I XT890. It worked perfectly fine, but then i messed up. I wanted to root the phone, but I used the root for the android 4.0.4 version while my phone has the 4.2 Jelly bean version.
Now the problem: My phone only show the Warning sign that the Bootloader is unlocked nothing else. It wont go further than that.
I can still accees the Fastboot Flash Mode window and tried to use the recovery option through the blue window mode, but nothing changed.
I assume its hard bricked. I checked other posts but didnt find something to similar.
Maybe you guys have some ideas, thanks.

I downloaded RSD Lite, but where do I get the firmware from?
EDIT: I found the website with the firmwares and downloaded the EU and German ones. I used them in RSD Lite, but all failed. I bought the phone and live in germany. Which firmware do i need to use?
I got it fixed. I used a file uploaded by someone and it worked great. It was from another forum but if anyone who has the same problem wants to try it then I could upload it.
Requirement for that option is to be able to boot to Fastboot mode.
EDIT: and also if you cant boot to Fastboot mode and you are in a loop then try to hold your VOL down+power button together until ur phone vibrates then instantly take your finger of the power button and only hold your VOL down button until the Fastboot mode starts. Maybe that could help.
Hi guys! After a failed firmware, my mb886 is bricked. If press the button(Vol+ Vol- Pwr), nothing happens. And RSD doest detect phone.
Fastboot just doest work.
When connected to the pc green LED lights and it shows up as USB Input Device and HID-compliant in device manager. Hardware ID is (USB\VID_05C6&PID_F006&REV_0000).
Under Linux, defined as Qualcomm inc.
Now it's for parts or have a way to recover? Maybe someone has a JTAG pinout for mb886?
And sorry for my english))
Is your bootloader unlocked? What firmware were you originally on and which did you try to flash? Did you try manually or with Myth Tools?
Plug it into your PC so you can see the green light. Hold all 3 buttons until it turns off. Then let go of all of them, then hold the Vol Down and power buttons, and when you see the boot logo (Moto logo) on the screen let go of the power button and continue holding Vol Down until you get a black screen with white text. At this point, you can try flashing a new firmware with Myth Tools. Don't flash a custom ROM, only official firmwares.
If you don't have Moto fastboot you can search around for it.

I have a link to a thread with the Moto Fastboots (all OS's) in the very last post of my fastboot guide. Gonna eventually upload it to Copy and update my OP with it, but for now the link to the thread with it and some other good Moto information is good enough.

I do not know whether the unlocked bootloader. This phone got to me in this condition ((
The problem is that the phone does not respond to hold buttons.
Apparently fastboot was erased and I need to restore it. Then I'll be able to flash the stock firmware in the RDS

Thanks for that reply. Saved me. However I was unable to get myth tools to complete anything.
Finally I found the rsd lite . Then it failed each time. But I figured out there was a problem in flashing the modem.
I fastboot the modem separately , then ran rsd with the stock firmware found in one of these threads and finally got my phone back.
Now, I'm rooted, boot loader unlocked, and have philz recovery on it.
Somehow I'd lost recovery of any kind. And every flash failed, with an error of no block (and I forget the three letter name it had on error).
This is my first Motorola that I've messed with. I've had galaxy's for the most part.
I tried the pa moto ROM. But had no WiFi so I didn't go much further with it. Restored the backup I made with philz.
Going to try some different ROMs tonight.
On flashing back to stock, just keep trying as it seems very touchy.
Also be sure to delete the lines in the XML file in firmware. Everything went a lot more smooth after that!
Thanks!

my Bionic Android 4.1.2 is stuck on the "Stuck on ap fastboot flash mode (flash failure) " I was trying to flash a different boot logo.
now every-time I turn on the phone it gets stuck on that screen. So I have to press the Power Button, Vol Up & Vol Down Button at the same time so I can get to the screen where I can select boot normally.
Tried to flash back to stock with RSDlite but it fails. How can I get the phone out of this mode?
thank you
I was finally able to correct the issue running the FixCDT file.
I found the information in this XDA thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427945&page=6
after ran that file I had to SBF one more time with RSDlite and my phone is back to normal.
Now I'm running the official CM12 built for the Bionic. CM12 is a little sluggish but this will hold me over for a while until I get a new phone.
I tried the link in that post and it shows invalid or missing.
