I have a Beats Tour with Controltalk. When i plug it in and play music, it's very distorted and garbled. However, when i press and hold the central button (the shiny silver circle slap bang in the middle of the little controller on the earphones), the music plays clearly till i release the button. Then, back to before. I even tried installing the Beats Module by CKKnot, but to no avail. Any solutions would be grateful.
Thanks

Other earphones work fine. i just wanted to know why these particular ones don't. They work fine on other devices (haven't tried it on an X8 though). My phone's a W8. Also, what do you mean by 'the time'?

there is no problem in your headphones ... even i own a w8... the port has different working which supports only its own headphones that SE provides with it... if u notice even the SE headphones won't work with other devices except your w8 n moreover... Beats Tour and our W8 headphones produce same quality sound.. ( this is my experience , no offences )
The earphones without call control etc will always work...but d ones wid extra functions don't...

I agree with this. I am currently using Beats Tour without control talk and everything is fine.
Maybe you should try bring your phone back for warrentry, as your earphone port might be broken (big chance!)

I think there is a special extra jack or adaptor that you have to put on the tip of the plug of your headset so that it will fit well to the socket of the x8...
i had same issue before on marshall headset... there is an extra jack included for compatibility of the device socket...

If you mean the Full!screen app, it works great on a T, so it should also on a TX.
You can always try the free version and remove it if it doesn't.
is it possible to replace softkeys for these from nexus? can you give me link to this keys and path to replace it?
New here in the HTC one area so please forgive me if this topic was already covered. Being new to the HTC phone I wasn't liking the soft button lights turning off during the day light so this app basically keeps button backlight always on, as long as the screen is on.
Confirmed working with HTC one. KiNDA

UPDATE: The soft lights turn off on occasion and I have to toggle the power button to turn the light back on. Bug I guess but quick minor temp fix by hitting the button
UPDATE 7-/4/13: According to solid.snake (see quote below), Capacitive Buttons Brightness Works well

Hi there! Does anyone know how to disable the camera sound while taking a picture. Tried to mute ask volume but it doesn't work.
Thanks.

Try search...
Easiest option is to just cover speaker. Other try null rom (I made modded cam, but only works for old firmware)
After the latest update everything is working perfect, but a lost snapchat and the camera sound.
All notification sounds and touch feedback sound are still there.
So I guess there is a way to switch the sound on and off.

Yes, it was figured out how to mute the sounds by a few very bright folks here. There is a tool on here you should try called "search". I know of two threads at least where it's covered in great detail.
