Hi guys, I pre-ordered an xperia z1 on the Sony official store.
I think it is no brand phone, so isn't normal that the update to 4.3 is not arrived on my phone (the update roll out since 16 December).
I wrote because when I bought the phone I Immediately had some problems (freezing, anomal reboots) and the device didn't received any system update (from 4.1 to 4.2).. So I did a Factory reset and immediately I saw the update and many problems were solved.
I don't want to do a Factory rest every time there is an update! Can anyone help me? For Italian guys, did you receive the update?
First of all, Z1 NEVER got 4.1
Second, you don't have to factory reset, I have the global firmware and I still haven't received the update yet.
Regards,
~J2C
next time you should try the Sony Companion application, but if the problem persists I can't help you
That is strange.
I flashed my bell Canada z1 to an unbranded version of 4.2 and I was then able to get an ota update of 4.3.
What revision of os do u currently have?

However, my advice is to repair your phone using pccompanion.

Hi!
I also have the same problem with Xperia T. The phone keeps restarting many times daily. After rebooting It loses very offen sim-card and wi-fi function. 1 month ago it was flashed to 9.1.A.0.489 by PC Companion.
I tried and it doesn't work:
- flashing again 9.1.A.0.489 with PC COMPANION and SUS
- flashing again 9.1.A.0.489 with Flashtool
- flashing 9.1.A.0.492
- back to 7.0.A.3.197
- [TWRP]Stock Kernel on 9.1.A.0.489
Any idea?
i found a new thing. The phone is stable in "flight" mode.
Hi,
Since Saturday I must have tried different networks to update my Z1 (C6902) using PC Companion... in India, and each time the update gets stuck at 97%
I tried to un-install PC companion and did a fresh install still the problem continues, anyone facing this issue, any solutions?
Thanks in advance
Hey Guys,
So my brother recently received his Sony Xperia Z1 on a two year plan. When he received it, it was running stock firmware (android 4.2) and it was working completely fine. He then, using Sony PC companion, updated his phone to the latest official firmware (kitkat). But afterwards, his phone's microphone didn't work. He then called both Sony and his carrier asking what to do to fix the issue and they told him to restore the device, which he did, but that did nothing as his phone was still on kitkat and still glitchy.
So now the only option for him is to send it in for repairs, but that will take at least a month, and he needs the phone in the meantime. So brilliant people at xda, is there any way for him to restore his firmware to android 4.2 or another official firmware in order to fix the problem without rooting or unlocking the bootloader. If he unlocked the bootloader it would mean that he would never be able to send it in for repairs, which is vital in case it is not a software problem and a coincidence that the microphone broke at around the same time.
After the problem is fixed, I'll probably install cyanogenmod on it for him but he would not like to do that until we know we wont need to send it in for repair.
Thanks!
This is a guide to root the phone, it includes downgrading the phone... So you could just go ahead and do that step only. Good luck.

Hey guys,
I bought a new xperia z c6603 few day ago, everything was working fine until I discovered some issues few days ago:
First: I can't do the lollipop update, I have even tried to install it with flashtool it still doesn't work.
Second: the front camera doesn't work at all.
Third: when I use android kitkat the nfc doesn't work and everytime I turn the phone on I receive a message concerning NFC Firmware Update Error (000004), but when it runs on andorid jelly bean 4.3 I don't receive the error message and the nfc works perfectly.
I have tried everything (Flashing the device with flashtool, doing a factory reset, trying to repair to software with pc companion) nothing works.
I thank you in advance for helping me and I apologise if i did any grammatical mistake .
I have a problem that my phone automatically reboots itself everytime my mobile data is on even when it's not overheated. My phone is using android 5.0.2 build number 10.6.A.0.454 (HK version), kernel 3.4.0-perf-g8fa3dae that comes with it, and it was rooted.
This problem only happens since I update to 4.4.4 or later versions. It never happened on 4.3 (originally installed on the phone).
Anyone got the same problem or any solution for this?
Did you try to wipe data/cache/dalvik?
did you try to fix permissions?
both with recovery

I am having the same problem, it's rebooting it self only and one thing i measured which is actually strange that while it is under charging then it does not reboot itself so what should be the problem??
Help me to sort out this ASAP.
I had also that issue recently. After so much rom flashing i decided to try to replace the battery and it worked. Just try to replace battery may be that wil also work for you guyz.
