Hi...I have a problem with my Rogers Xperia T with locked Boot loader, hoping someone might have had something similar and be able to help. I made a new thread due to so many types of Soft Brick and my problem being different than most.
My cell crashed randomly while using my phone weeks ago. Went to turn it back on and nothing but a flashing Red Light all the time when trying to turn the cell back on. I've spent countless hours reading all the suggestions on this forum, with no real luck yet.
After many attempts to fix my cell from all the great tips on this forum...like taking my phone apart to disconnect the battery, rubber band trick etc. Nothing has ever changed. It seems my cell is stuck in some type of Flash Mode Loop? I can get my cell to vibrate 1-3 times holding the buttons, but doesn't change anything.
When plugged into the charger or PC, my light goes from solid Red for a few minutes then solid Green. But the Green light only stays for a few seconds then it goes out,but it still stays in Flash Mode for a few minutes than back to the Red again, and keeps repeating this cycle. Making it very hard to Flash or Repair my phone due to Flash Mode never staying long enough to complete. But if I disconnect my battery than plug it into my PC I can Flash or use PC Companion successfully. But still doesn't change anything.
I just can't seem to get the phone out of this Loop to complete any type of battery recharge. If any one else has had this, any input would be greatly appreciated. I've spent weeks reading so many posts on the forum and internet about soft brick and nothing seems to work.
Thank You
I Had this problem too

Hi
I had this problem with my device in few days before and recover my phone and now he is works like a love song baby.
Your Situation: Soft/Reset without any vibrates with flashing red LED
You should know the "Battery Life Cycle" very good. but now i give u some steps to do:
Step1. Keep Calm and let your blood reach on your brain to think and analyze your each time situation.
Step2. Don't hit the Power Button in every situation anymore. this works makes damages on doing some future works-SO DON'T TOUCH POWER
Step3. Estimate the duration time from plug the wall charger to green LED. for example mine was 15 minutes.
Step4. Let the Battery Dies completely.
Step5. Plug the charger for half of "Step3" Estimate time. for example mine was 7 minutes.
Step6. Unplug the Chrager.
Step7. Plug the Charger for 10 minutes later after "Step6". between this 10 minutes, flash FTF file to be ready.
Step8. Do "Step5" to "Step7" for three times.
Why you should do these steps like this?
Because in flashmode level you need enough battery charge that's for in flashmode the usb cable do not send any electrical charge to device.
Step9. Bring your device to flashmode and flash your device ( [Vol-] + [Power] then LED should turns green

Thanks alot for the great tip. It worked enough to charge my cell long enough to flash my stock ftf :good: But unfortunately hasn't changed anything on my cell.
It seems that i have the same issue, my bootloader is locked and as i plug in the phone the LED gets green and sometimes red, but the battery never gets warm, also the Display wont do anything.
I think this can be happening becouse the Connector is Damaged or something similar..
But spending more money seems like a waste for me

Did you do anything to your phone to cause this? Mine just suddenly froze up and crashed with normal use one day? I've never dropped it or damaged my cell in anyway. I just don't get it
well... i bought it 2 weeks ago on ebay, as defective.
"only red led flashing" was the description, well, thruth is it had a huge fight with water, a long time ago.. many contacts were corrosive, the battery was molten at the contacts comming from within, the connector for the buttons/display was extreme corrosive.
I Cleaned it up and bought a new battery, hoping it would do the trick, but now im with this problem..
I think if i could get a cheap connector i would buy one just to try it.
Or another one on ebay.. just have to wait for one.
but say, did your battery get any higher temperature when its charged?

No the battery temperature stays the same,I can only charge my phone a very little bit.
Okay, thanks!
It showed sony logo the first time ever now 0o
I let it charge for ca. 30 min then the sony logo appeared but it stuck at it, so i wanted to reflash with sus but it wont accept the T..
Now i have a clue whats the error on my phone, the side buttons are oxidised and so pushed themself so they are pushed the whole time!
These tiny buttons are just ****ty..
When they are broken u need another connector, so thats my next step, maybe ur phone also has gettin often wet or something?
I would try without that connector an let the battery charge for some time, if your phone boots then u know whats up with it..
Hope u can understand what i mean.. My english isnt the best xD

That's great you made some progress. Did you do anything different this time when charging. Mine always does the same Red Light Green Light loop no matter what.
Can you get your cell to respond to the power button and volume down? or are your side buttons too damaged?
Do the rubber band trick to charge up your battery.
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
Well.. the power button and the Vol- fell apart, and i lost the magnet inside, so i have to wait till i get a new cable untill i can test further...
Can take up to 2 weeks till i get one, getting something like that in austria is a very long story, i can only order it from Germany or somewhere else and that takes minimum 2 days or more.
The rubber band trick havent worked for me also.
Phone just Vibrated and restarted, vibrated and restarted,..
And my phone was alwas in Flashmode!

The Left Cable is for Buttons and Display, just unplug it from the mainboard.
Then try to Load it, if the LED stops switching, it could be the Reason.
and test if anything happens when the battery is plugged out, could be that your battery is also dead an thats why it cant get charged.
€ i played another hour with this "T"hing..
i am now wery certain that its the buttons, what causes the flipping between red/green.
But an question, how fast did your LED change color? does it change every second or did it hold for some minutes and change then?

Some little news.. the new Cable with Buttons have arrived today, i installed it quickly, but it seems the phone havent changed it thougts abot starting...
When i just press the Power Button without USB cable plugged in, the Red led flashes 2 times.
If i push the power button and plugg it in for some time, it is a stable red light but the switching to green led and then red led starts again..
actually i plugged it in with pressed power button, LED stayed red for about 1h now.
now it switched to green, the phone vibrates, then the green led shows up for some secounds, then the LED dissapear, it vibrates again and then again green LED with no Display, it does this some minutes, than its again a stable red, for some minutes.
I let the rubber band all the time on the power button.
I tryed now to Flash the phone but i cant even get into Flashmode..
Without battery connected, i plugged in to the pc, it starts now to the Sony logo, but switches permanently between Flashmode and Sony logo.... WTF!!

I'm sorry to hear the new parts didn't help Doesn't make sense! I was hoping your new parts would have solved the problem. It's doing the same thing as mine...except I can't get to the Sony Logo.
Maybe drain the battery and try again...also what happens when you disconnect the battery and plug it into the computer or charger and plug the battery back in right away while still connected.

Now i havent done anything with the phone for some time..
If i had connected the battery while starting without battery, it goes the same way. Green led, red led, green led...
But now i buyed another phone with bricked display, i put the mainboard from this into the first one i bought and tryed to start with the battery i bought, result: doesnt work!!!
Red led goes on when connecting to charger but after 10 min it disapears and nothing happens, i can soft and hard reset the phone, but it wont start at all!!
then i tried the battery from the Display bricked phone and it goes very well
so my theory is, that the battery that i bought ist just dead, i hope i can have a refund for it...
I could try the good battery with the "dead" mainboard, but for now im happy, that i have one T running.
Maybe i could get my hands on another T, then i would try it again.
Just as side note, the "dead" battery, had 2,7v as i got it and has 3,2v after charging for an ! week ! with the "dead" mainboard.
I havent looked at the "good" battery, but i have looked at an battery from an "J" that was fully drained, it showed 3,4v
T battery is marked as 4,2v and J battery is marked also as 4.2v, so my conclusion is that the new battery i bought was a faulty one!!

Thanks a lot for your input. That's great after all you tried you finally have a working phone. I'm going to purchase a new battery and see what happens. It's a bit strange I had no signs of a weak battery. My battery lasted fine from day to day use? Defiantly worth a try. Thanks

I let my phone battery die, and now I can't turn it on.
Usually I get a red light which goes when the battery is in if its charging.
Sometimes I get a red light even when the battery is in and its charging.
If I do a soft reset, sometimes I get a flashing red light on the sides but then nothing.
I managed to get it back briefly by doing all manner of hard resets and soft resets, and taking the battery out and putting it back in over and over again for about half an hour...
Then I left it charging for half an hour or so and carelessly allowed the battery to die again because I needed to take it with me somewhere - so the same thing has happened again.
I left it charging overnight but I'm not having any luck with it this morning... any help would be much appreciated.
yeah similar problem here. my phone warned me the battery was low... i ignored the warning and used it until it died completely. then it wouldn't turn on. it was late so i just plugged it into the wall charger that came with the phone. i dont think it charged cause in the morning it was still flat. if anything i think having it connected to the charger while not charging drained the last a few drops of juice out of it. had a number of confusing red lights coming up in different spots at different times.
i read on here some guy managed to charge it by getting 3 AA batteries and connecting them directly to the battery for a couple of minuets. i did this and managed to turn the phone on! hoooray!
it had 1% and died in less than a couple of minuets even though i had it on the charger. tried the 3 AA battery trick again but to no avail. i think my battery is dead.
i'm pretty certain i will need to get a new one. i hope you are able to get yours working without buying a new battery.
im really annoyed the Sony Erricson batteries work out to be close to $100 AU. i would prefer to get a legit one... but does anyone have any experience with unofficial batteries? are they any good?
Sorry you're in the same boat... Ericsson really should have made this phone so that it can run out of battery.
Interesting - tell me more about the 3 AA battery trick!
sounds like the cells in your battery isnt balancing hence its dying...think you'll need to buy another one / or at least try another one to make sure it is and not the phone...
Hmmm... I fiddled and pressed buttons and took out the charger and put it in, and then kept pressing the on button while I was doing something else...
Suddenly it made the click noise, but it's not back yet.
It seems to have crashed on the 'Sony Ericsson' start up screen with the green logo.
I don't know if it's charging or not, so I'm not sure whether to turn it off to try again (at the risk of losing the battery), or leave it to charge as it is before I turn it off and can't start it again....
At least it's progress
There are a couple vof threads with many solutions. Look for them, they are very useful.
Yeah I've found a few - Thanks... just nothing they mentioned has worked yet
I think the problem I have may be a slightly different now anyway...
Now, if I unplug it I can't turn it on, but if it's plugged into my computer cable I can get it (every time - after about 3 minutes) to go to the Sony Ericsson loading screen but no further (as if there is no hard reset file for it to load). I can do that by plugging it in, then doing a soft reset (which produces flashing lights on the side) then holding on until it clicks (usually trying that a few times). When it clicks the lights on the side flash and it looks like it charges for a second before the lights go off and its just hte loading screen. I left it for 5 minutes and it turned off completely. Nothing happens if it's plugged into the wall cable at all.
Have you any idea how I might be able be get something to load after the loading screen?... Or any thoughts as to whether you think it's likely to be charging when its on that screen?
Thanks
Hmm... It seems you have a software problem as well.
Here is what I would do: get another battery (fully charged) and try one of these hard reset methods:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437607
Something should work...
Sweet - I managed to get the hard reset screen to ask me the question about going back to factory defaults... after that the lights on the side are coming on to show its charging....
I guess there's a chance that when the battery is charged it'll have the juice to get past the loading screen... I hope anyway.

Hey, dunno if some one had the same problem but my xperia doesn't take the charge.
Its appened when the mobile has terminated all his battery, and know the charge is not accepted by the phone
help me please
Something perhaps similar happened to me, i ran my battery completely flat and then could not switch the phone on even when it was on the charger. So I left it on the charger for ~1 hour and then it switched on fine! The other possibility is that you battery is dead. Hope this helps!
Its not the first time its appened to me, and the first time i had the problem i try a lot of time to recharge it, take out the battery, replace it etc.. and its worked.
But in 2 days, my phone is off :/
My battery is not dead i know, but how to recharge it
I have 2 computers from which I load it with usb cable. For some reason Mac Pro doesn't load the damn phone but Macbook does.
Try switching your "power" source. And sometimes when the battery goes really flat it needs many hours to even boot when loading up. One time I really thought the damn thing was dead for sure... But it came back to life
When you press the power button there's a red light next to volume buttons indicating it doesn't have enough power yet to boot up. If there's no red light then it's not charging at all.

Just leave if plugged-in and it will charge. It takes some time before it will charge if it is fully drained.
Ok thanks for reply
Have no real solution, but have the red light near to the volume button, or in the top of the phone.
But the phone doesn't take the charge at all...
The red light gave the battery charge, only that... have it sometimes and sometimes havent it...

2 day less my phone know..
Ok i dunno why but the phone weak UP !
NICE
Ir was connected to the cpu and i presszs the button and it weak up
omg this phone
(Sort of) got it.
I'm not really an xda developer but id do have an xperia.
The same problem occured to my device about three weeks ago. I've noticed that the phone would still charge in the computer, but not by the power net adapter. (it must be broke i guess)
Today i've locked myself out calling the battery flat. I couldnt get it on anymore. After a lot of hassle this was the solution for me:
1) Connect the phone to a computer. Don't try to turn it on! Leave it there for about 15 minutes.
2) Disconnect the phone and pull out the battery.
3) Hold down the "on" button while inserting the battery back.
-- It should turn on now
4) Release the on button and quickly connect it to your computer again.
Hope this helps.
I just remember the red led lit on at the on/off button and the red light disappeared after 5 mins or so and i left for breakfast while it was still in the charger and by the time im back from breakfast, it turned itself on and was charging up
Hello, just about to pull the trigger on a new xperia ZU, but i wanted to see if anyone had any tricks for me to try on my Xperia Z. I was running near the latest CM 10.2 without issues for awhile now. Last night while i was bowling the battery died( nothing new happens all the time to me ). When i returned home i hooked it up to the wall charger for about 30 minutes, came back and still no life. I have tried multiple chargers and multiple cables with no luck. Device has been plugged into power all night and all day so far. When i attempt to power on with it unplugged i get the 3 pulse red led. When i hit the power button with it plugged in all i get is a solid red LED. Nothing more, nothing less. Cant get into recovery or anything. Most of the time a hard brick involves a mis flash or something along those lines....any idea what could have happened to mine?

It might be the battery...
Its not advisable to full discharge the battery but it seems that u did it a few times..
The battery might not take any charge as the red indicator means low battery...
Tried a new battery,i know after removing the rear panel n say good bye to water resistance but is worth a try...
Or u can send it to me for free if u wanted to throw it away...
hope this helps...
Had the same thing happen
I had the same thing happen to me. From what I read trying to troubleshoot it seems like the Xperia phones in general can take 30 minutes + after a full battery drain to even register that a charger is connected. I would try just connecting it to the Sony charger for a few hours and see if that works.
There is also a tip about holding down the power button when plugging in the USB charger and continuing to hold the power button until the phone turns on. Unfortunately, can not find the original post right now. EDIT: Found it. http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-T-TX/Xperia-T-Wont-Charge-Turn-On/td-p/252686/page/4
In my case the red light would not even come on when the charger was connected but would come on if I held the power button down while connecting the charger. After I did this for a couple minutes the phone booted and has charged normally ever since.
So its a mixed bag. Try just charging it for a while on the Sony charger or wall charger (not USB). Or try the power button trick.
Lesson I learned is I will not let the battery completely drain again.
Ahhahha it came back alive! I had tried pretty much every trick that has been suggested and it just wouldn't charge or start to boot. Left it on the main charger again last night and still no luck this morning. Again I decided to plug it into my computer's usb port( I did this multiple times already ) and I hit the power button, a backlight came on!!! and then sure enough there was the free xperia logo! I have no idea why it finally decided to power on, but its showing 1% battery so it was truly not charging any of the times it was left on a charger, computer or mains. Thanks for the responses guys, I appreciate it!
I know this thread is pretty old. But I'm having the same trouble. Xperia Z got bricked after battery drain. It wont recognize charging, i kept it on charge two nights in a row now. It did show a red LED while charging for some time and nothing else, but now its back to being stone dead. tried holding down the power button trick, didnt budge. I thought you can only hardbrick it by doing a wrong flash/update. dont know what happened in this case. is there anything else I should try or just take it to a shop and ask to change the battery?

man, try with a new battery, here in my country cost 14 euro . Or go in a service or buy a multimeter and measure the current of ur battery. Normal they from service will give u electrosock to bring it to life. And if will dont work i think u must sell it on piece and buy another
Same problem with my Z3 Compact: one day phone became hot and started to discharge rapidly and when battery became empty, cannot charge and cannot boot, only red LED is ON. I changed the battery and phone booted again. BUT when battery was discharged completely, phone cannot boot again, only red LED is on when trying to charge.
Looks like something wrong with motherboard is happening...
Xperia ZL battery completely drained, not starting up
I know this thread is old one, but I am having issue with my Xperia ZL. Its battery drained to zero and then whenever I plug in my charger, screen starts, Xperia Logo pops up, red light also starts and suddenly everything goes off. This goes on and on infinite number of times. Phone heats up but it doesn't turn on. I had issue with my battery, a couple of months back, so I replaced it with new one. If anybody has any solution about this, please let me know.
xperia z bootloop
im stuck on bootloop and apps keep on optimising through the cycle. phone overheats too .. how do i sort this one out? ..might it be a bad battery? any help on this
So I have my Z1 for 5 weeks now and I used some times in my pool in home to take some pictures, I've always been cautious with the flaps and everything, I even immerse it in rice overnight when I use it in water just to be safe. Today I used normally, took some pics with girlfriend, everything worked great, after taking the pictures I left it on the table and about 1 hour later I tried to use it and it was blank (me and the phone were completely dry by that time). If I connect to wall charger or USB the led flash red twice and then blanks. I'll leave overnight charging now but I have no idea what to do. Tried turning off using the red thingy, turning on holding volume up or down but nothing works.
Can anyone help or I will have to send it for warranty?
Oh, and I checked and not a single drop of water entered the phone (apparently).

You seem a little paranoid about water, if water had messed your phone up you probably wouldn't even get a red flashing light (as the motherboard would be fried) so you don't need to worry about water damage.
Firstly, presume everything you had on your phone is now gone. Sorry!
Follow these simple steps:
Press & hold the power button and volume up until it vibrates 3 times, then you can go ahead and try to turn it on. Quote me when you reply so I can see it.
Could you also plug it in to your laptop, does the computer read that a device is being connected?
If that doesn't work, we'll try some other stuff and explore some threads! Lots of links for bricked phones. Sounds like it's bricked..

Good thing it's not water!
Did it for over a minute and nothing happens. I've tried that earlier too.
Plugging it on the PC makes the sound of device connected, the red light turns on for a while (about 2 or 3 seconds, no blinking) and then it turns off with the sound of device disconnected.

Have you tried plugging it in with the Sony software? If you have that downloaded..
You'll need to do some research... http://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=bricked phone
I've found a few things, users with the same problem... looks like some may have fixed it.. http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1/Z1-won-t-turn-back-on/td-p/390335
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperi...mpletely-Dead-already-PLEASE-HELP/td-p/380387
Have you checked the charger? Try putting it on charge for a few hours then try everything again. Do you have more than 1 charging cable? try the different cable.

I've already tried some solutions there and will try others now.
PC Companion won't detect phone. Same with Update Service.
Worst case I'll leave it charging for 12 hours. Thanks for the help, I'll come back later with some feedback. I'll probably get in touch with warranty tomorrow morning.
I'm experience this problem with xperia z after washed the phone. I thought is water damage so I'm just leave my phone. Buy new xperia Z1.... But after 1 month i check back my phone surprise!!!! Is revive again....
Almost 12 hours on wall charger and no sign of life. Still just blink twice the red notification light.

Try all the steps again, otherwise I really not sure what's happened. Some people report days later it comes back on, etc. Hopefully someone else may have an insight to what's happened, but personally I don't think your phone is buggered.
Has this been resolved? I just ran into a similar problem with my week old Xperia Z1 Compact. It was working fine until one afternoon, it was hot and wouldn't turn on. Got the blinking red lights and won't charge. Also won't do anything with the Power and Volume+ Combination.

I suppose my phone is soft bricked. It doesn't get past the Huawei boot screen. I am still sort of able to enter bootloader and recovery, but I have a problem charging the phone also (which happened after I left in in fastboot mode connected to my PC for a little too long), which means no power to keep it on long for enough to flash rom via fastboot, and trying to do it via 3 key combo with UPDATE.APP on the memory card just says the image is incompatible. The thing with the battery is, when I plug it in it shows that red circle with lightning bolt in the middle like when it's charging, but it immediately changed to green (as if it's fully charged I assume) and the red led flickers. As I understand it, the red light flicking means a battery fault. I know when the red light stays on continuously it means the phone is charging, but that doesn't happen. It just blinks. I can disconnect the battery and retry and it always just keeps blinking, and turning it on means it'll die within 30 seconds. So I can't unbrick my phone if the battery won't charge and furthermore Best of ll is this is I installed a new battery 2 weeks ago and had no problem new battery. I even replaces it AGAIN when I thought the battery was faulty. So perhaps you guys know of some software, hardware, or unconventional trick to get it to charge. I'm very desperate for help! Thanks all for reading!
Just keep it plugged in overnight.

Your battery is drained.. That's the thing.. Charge it, the LED will blink red few times amd as you mentioned, red circle will turn green.. it doesn't mean that the battery is full charged, but instead, it means that the battery is charging... Let the battery charge for few minutes (possibly an hour or so). Do note whether the phone reboots or not.. if not.. its ok..
After charging your device, switch it off (if your device is turned on). Connect it to your PC and just press & hold the vol- key... It should go into fastboot mode... If it goes, then just flash the boot image of your current build..
I too faced similar problem few days back amd resolved it by doing this.. (I was on b596 when I faced this problem, I flashed b596 boot.img)

I thought the green circle and red flashing led meant doomsday for my device. I left it overnight at some point and it even got really hot. Strangest thing is, the screen doesn't turn off when it shows the red circle and blinking red led. And having left it overnight like that connected to the charger made the phone very hot and it didn't charge at all.

I did in fact flash some things, but even after that charging worked just fine! (that was before this charging problem) Just now it doesn't boot. (but I was certain flashboot would rescue me. I know I flashed something I shouldn't have, which is why I'm eager to get back into fastboot, but can't without any power and the PC USB to phone connection doesn't provide enough power for it to stay on.
This oddness started randomly while my phone was connected to my PC in fastboot mode (thankfully before trying to flash anything or running any commands)
I very sincerely hope someone has answers for me. I'm desperate as this was a gift and I just had to tinker. to try a better rom :crying:
But luckily I know this forum has the best experts around!
Is the problem the same as the people in this thread
Open the cell phone and disconnect the battery and reconnect it.
I had the same problem and solved it this way.

Either you open your back case and remove your battery..
Or connect your device to the PC but just by holding your vol- key, that will boot you in fastboot mode.. no matter how little charge you have, it should work

Hey there, thanks for your reply. I have in fact disconnected and reconnected the battery countless times without any effect. I also connected it to PC, disconnected battery, reconnected battery while holding VOL- and it didn't boot into fastboot, just the green circle. Just switching it off with the power button makes it switch on again immediately and holding VOL-still doesn't boot into fastboot mode. I actually once got it to boot into fastboot mode, I can't remember how, but it lasted about a minute then it died from low power even while connected to a US 3.0 port with extra power. y the way, one oddity is that when holding VOL+ is actually goes into recovery mode, but I reflashed stock recovery to try and to flash the UPDATE.APP automatic upgrade, but it didn't work and so it's pretty useless.
Thanks for all the suggestions, you guys are awesome! Really hoping you guys can help me out in the end though!

Has it charged since then? When you plug in your cable, does it charge, or does it turn on?
I tried charging with powerbank (at that time, I was out on a bus), it got superhot (the only hot thing I got in my life) and it was turning on automatically... I let it charge for 30 minutes, and then I hold the Power button to shut it down (but it didn't work, I guess).. then I connected it to my laptop just holding the volume- button, it did boot to fastboot..
I am out of suggestions, will post you again if anything else comes to my mind...
Hang in there buddy..

Nope, it's not charging. I've used multiple chargers and even different PC's USB connections, but all that comes up onscreen is the round green logo with the battery, and sometimes a red one instead of green.
And of course the constant blinking led, it never goes away. and also the screen doesn't go off like it does when it's charging. I swear the moment it turns solid red, if that ever happens, I shall rejoice.
Nevertheless, I have utmost respect for this site and faith in its member! :good::laugh: I just KNOW someone will help me resolve this. I can enter recovery (stock) but it doesn't charge there not does the silly stock recovery have a option to turn off. And even sometimes when it seems completely drained, it seems like it starts charging after about 2 minutes after I plugged it but it turns on the screen, shows the green circle, and red blinking led. I'm at my wit's end. :crying: It was a gift and I messed it up.
I didn't read everything in this thread, sorry, but just asking, did you try to charge it overnight? My brother had an old, really small Vodafone Huawei Phone and sometimes it just turned off and needed at least 12 hours charging time to turn on again. Maybe just try to let it plugged in for a day. It may help.

Yep, I did. Annoying thing is the screen stays on when it's plugged in, unlike charging. I kept it plugged in to a wall charger overnight, and the next morning the phone was hot (supposedly because the screen stayed on) and the led was blinking still. When I unplugged it it lost power. This is so strange because just a week ago there was nothing wrong with the battery even.
Had the same problem couple of times
Try this...
1. unplug battery
2. plug-in charger (without battery!)
3. when charger is plugged to the phone then plug battery connector
Enjoy
