7.1.0 stable = nightly #143 IIRC, so it's just older version of CM7..just go with latest nightly. You can read changes from changelog.
thank you
you use it . have you any problems with this nightly version ?

No I haven't noticed any problems so far..but I have used this only for 1 day so it's too early to say anything certain..
ok
i will test it also
thank you
Nightly is the latest and greatest cutting edge from CM, but is also more prone to more bugs. Stable is better for new CM users, or for those that "heavily rely" on their CM phones as their main or only phones...

You could ask about them on the official CM7 thread. I would suggest flashing the latest Nightly, however.
thank you upichie
i ask but no answer
i will try th nightly version
There are certain problems that are known and have yet to be fixed with CM7. Developers are continuously updating it though—and that is what the Nightlies are (a new build released every night). If your problems are known issues, it may be awhile before you see a fix. But there may be simple solutions to fix whatever problems you're having.
thank you
i wait for new stable version because i can t use many application with cm7 . it fast and very nice

The only applications you should have trouble getting to work are the Samsung ones. The reason they don't work is because they are dependent on Samsung's framework, which obviously isn't found in CM7.
Every other application, if supported by your phone, should work just fine.

Not always, I've had a few nightly builds go wrong but isn't hard to make a nandroid backup. If in doubt use a stable build, I personally like the latest work from the CM7 team

That is nothing new with CM and AOSP builds. They have know app compatibility issues. Some apps just will not work like Screenshot it. It will work on every custom rom except for CM and any rom built off of it/
sorry for ignorance
can i flash a stable on a nighlty previously installed???
thx
There are 2 stable versions
Cm7
Cm9 that's ICS
Cm10 (jellybean) is currently being developed

Enjoy and send your thanks to CyanogenMod team.
PS: I'm just a User and have no affiliation with CM

Why apologize, your impression is correct. Although most nightlys I have found to be as stable as there previous release candidates.

No apology needed I didn't mean to offend you, I was just pointing out that just because its an RC it doesn't make it anymore stable than the nightlys in fact the last stable release was last years 7.1.0.1

But we're getting close, since we're on RC3, 7.2 Stable can't be far away!

I guess if you look at it from that perspective, no software is truly stable, there's always some bugs.
anyone experiencing charging takes up to 3 hours?

Use this version of the 18 hours stable no problem completely, but always look for the latest
I was experience with battery charging, but it stuck on 20%. how can i solve this problem?
HTC Customer Service suggest me to use phone under safe mode 24 - 48 hours non stop. they said , there are conflict Application between third-party application and HTC Application.

Sorry for my bad English.

The Snapshot is a stable point where almost everything worked 100%. A couple of bugs that most people will miss and a few that is annoying but doesn't make it unstable.
The nightlies are not so well tested and receive commits from the main CM branch. They include the latest bugfixes and features but it might not be as stable.

First correct me if I'm wrong, other ppl like xonar_ definitly know more about it.
CM 7 is GB
CM 9 is ICS
CM 10 is JB
nighlys are done everyday and not much tested, I heard there are done automaticaly by a build robot
M snapshots are more tested and seem to come out every month
RC is tested a lot and the CM ppl think it is stable, if they find errors in it there will be another RC that corrects the errors, if not it will be declared stable

Everything is correct except nightly. Nightlys are only built when there are commits. Everyday means that the dev of the phone for CM has done a commit. That's why this week its everyday.

Not just the develeoper of the phone. We also receive commits from the main CM10 branch. If you look at the device specific and kernel commits then you'll see that new nightlys are sometimes being released without there being any changes too them. CM10 still has bugs on the main branch and those bugs can be fixed by any person at CM not just our awesome phone developer rmcc.
Sent from my LG-P970
In this case, they are automatically released, this is why a later version "nightly" can not contain an adjustment that had been made in the last version (as in the case of video recording in our CM10 that worked in past releases and the latest does not work), leaving only when another snapshot version is that everything was done correctly should not it contain?
Snapshot or Release Candidates
Thanks for you wonderful explanation guys, but this might be a noobish question, if I were to choose or you are, would you pick snapshot or RC's?
Thanks! :good:

Depends on how close to the RC the snapshot is....
A snapshot from the day after a RC should be almost identical to the RC, plus (hopefully) fixes.
A snapshot far after a release could be introducing a bunch of new features (and bugs to go with them).
I'd be more interested in reading snapshot changelogs, relative to the last release or release candidate.
GOOD DAY GUYS. CAN YOU HELP ME ON MY CM7? THE BLUETOOTH DOESNT TURN ON. IN THE OFFICIAL PAGE OF CM (FOR ACE), I FOUND 5 NIGHTLIES. WHICH ONE OF THEM MAKES THE BLUETOOTH WORK, OR IF NONE OF THEM, HOW DO I MAKE IT WORK? THANKS. HAVE A GOOD DAY.

Try rebooting your phone once.. Because CM 7 is now Stable.. Everything works like a charm..
If the problem is still there, then I guess you'll have to reflash the rom..
Is it okay if i flash the nightly? Or should i still stay on the stable version?

You can use whatever you want
Nightly versions are "stable" enough for daily use
Reflash the lastest Nightly and if you'll face troubles use the stable version

Haha. Ok. In CM's official website, they say nightlies are very unstable and unsafe for daily use.

Nightlies include updated sources & experimental features but CM7 is stable enough so that doesn't make much difference. If you want a more latest build of cm7, try the one by thilibaultblizz.

In the last 3 nightlys, the wi-fi is very slow, I think that it not only happened to me, try to install the stable, although this has a bug that calls with headphones, listening to too low, the nightly of 2012/12/09 is the best for me.
Cheers, sorry for my bad english.

of course it's stable, but there are some bad parts about jellybean. first, the battery life isn't that great, and secondly, the ram management is awful (after installing facebook and whatsapp, as an example, you will only have about 40-50 mb free ram). i would recommend you to flash CyanAOSP v2.9.0 4.4.2 kitkat + semaphore kernel. it has great battery life, it's blazing fast, and the ram management is perfect (about 160mb free ram with facebook and whatsapp installed).
OK now since you talking about stability. SlimROMS are quite stable but there are better ROMs than slim ROMs such as Supernexus which I am currently using and seriously I haven't received a single bug. I am on KitKat version. Others are Mackay ROM, cyanogen mod latest nightly build, or cyanaosp which is good too. Even 4.3 was quite buggy.

I have used CM 10.2 and now using CM 11 and they both work fine , though I only use it on WiFi not cell service so can't comment on that. The CM 11 is still being developed so might be a few bugs here and there.
