Hey guys!
I listen music every day, that's very important stuff for me in my phone. I used X10 & PowerAmp + SE Aino headset (like MW600) and there were no problems... But now I notice, that there is a very bad lag - low bitrate while listening music in my Note. This problem is common, for example:

Do you have such problem?
How can I solve it?

I have the same issue, the quality is not the best. My Samsung galaxy sii has the same problem.
When I am on the phone, the quality is even worse, it is kind of distorted.
did u try it with Power Amp software ??

Of course, now I'm using same stuff: SE Aino headset + power Amp + Note
Confirm. Sound over a2dp is terrible. Cyanogen mod help for this in same case.

Ok, I thought I'd leave a quick comment because I only use Bluetooth for my listening please and do so on a daily basis on my commute to work (bluetooth headphones) and I have two bluetooth speakers that I use whilst at home.
I previously owned a HTC Desire HD and both the G-Note and the Desire HD have the same high quality bluetooth A2DP.
What file quality are you using? And have you tried the standard audio player?
I have noticed lag when watching movies and connected to bluetooth, but that's about it.

I tryed with Power Amp & stock player - there is no difference. Of course I'm using Mp3 with 320 Kbit\s!
Look, same files, same headset, same player, but the sound in X10 much-much better than in the G Note.
I'm using A2DP with my nokia BH-905i and it sounds great. Could the audio be playing through the headset profile instead of the stereo A2DP profile?

It's nice idea, but the audio is stereo and that means that the audio is going through the A2DP profile...
I usually pair my SGN with Sony MW600. Excellent audio clarity. No lag or whatsoever. Period.
It's a common problem with samsung devices. The only way to fix it for sure that I am aware of is a rom that uses its own bluetooth stack instead of the samsung one, like cyanogen. I hope that's coming to this device, sooner the better.
Maybe it's possible to copy some files of Bluetooth config from the another devices? Or it's not so easy

You have to manually deactivate the telephone mode for your a2dp device. Go to the list of bluetooth devices, long click on your a2dp device, then go to options and deselect telephone, leave only multimedia selected.
You're done. Music perfect

Sounds good..
But I've checked and there was no difference (unfortunately)
Did you try disabling and re-enabling bluetooth afterwards? My Note works perfectly in a2dp with a Nokia BH-214 adapter: no stuttering, no lags, nothing.

On MW600 sound still terrible. Sorry, maybe little better.
SO, how can it be that everyone seems to be getting varying levels of performance? Do you think it could be something to do with where your phone was purchased?
Mine was purchased on expansys (not sure which country it was imported from, but the language looked polish rather than german, but was definitely an EU version, and if anyone can help me narrow it down further let me know).
And my Bluetooth on my Stereo headphones, Parrot Stereo Speaker, and Samsung Speaker all sound perfect.
Might be worth considering a return if its model related.
I also have bad sound quality on my phillips bt headset on kj4... hope there will be a fix soon

Seems like I'm the only one with good performance on a2dp. Can I help in any way?

I just received my HTC BoomBass subwoofer as part of a promotion with my HTC One. The bluetooth device pairs perfectly with NFC but it ONLY plays through the BoomBass. The idea is that the BoomBass is supposed to be a subwoofer that supports the sound coming from your phone's speakers but those get turned off as soon as the BoomBass is connected. So I'm basically listening to muffled bass-only sound.
In a way I understand the logic behind turning off the phone speakers when you connect to a bluetooth device (headset, bluetooth speakers) usually that's what you want. Not here though.
Any ideas how I can keep both the phone speakers and the BoomBass on?

Pretty sure it only works with the One Max, Its something in the software that keeps them on, as far as I know, could be wrong.
EDIT: Link it with NFC, Turn on NFC and tap it on top of the speaker then see if it works.
Should work on all HTC One devices (Max, Mini and regular). It was a promotion from HTC Netherlands themselves: "buy an HTC One, get a BoomBass free". Would be very strange if it didn't work with the device they promoted it with. Linking the NFC isn't the problem, that works fine. Tapping the top of the speaker connects it and it starts playing, but it only plays through the BoomBass then.
UPDATE: the BoomBass needs Android 4.3 to work. I was running 4.2.2. Updated and works now.
So why does it need the 4.3? I cannot update to 4.3 due to problems with my appradio but I would like to use the boombass speaker. I get sound over the speaker but it''s only the bass, the phone speakers do not work anymore. I know wit android 4.3 they do work so what is the difference and can't we make a mod for it so it does work in android 4.2.2?
Is boom bass available in the US haven't hear day out it yet

I think it mostly has to do with the Sense version since the Boom Bass is only usable on HTC One/Max/Mini.
Unless you get it for free in some kind of deal I wouldn't advice anyone to buy the Boom Bass. It's clearly a problem to perfectly sync the audio between the Boom Bass subwoofer and the device speakers over a bluetooth connection. Even the slightest miss match in sync you'll notice and that's especially the case when you're listening to music (because you're listening to a rhythm). The Boom Bass is just a fraction of a second off which makes a whole song feel distorted and simply awkward. Less so when you're watching a video on the device because the not-perfect sync doesn't matter as much then.
I got it for free so thats why i'm wondering It's strange that under sense 5.5 it does work and under sense 5.0 not. Cannot figure out why
Sorry to reheat this thread but I have the same problem. Just got the Boombass but its only playing through the bass not the phone speakers. I have Cyanogen with Kitkat 4.4. So its not the same problem? I guess? I dont know.
I even replaced the tfa folder after this suggestion but no difference. (It was suggested on a german forum with the same problem and this supposed to help, but it didnt.)
Does anyone have a solution? I would be very grateful. Thanks
If you are a heavy bluetooth user, like me (music mostly) then, the 4.3 is a huge disappointment in that regard. Why?
Lower VOLume output over bluetooth
Lower quality noticeable on BT headphones
And most important, the Alarms, Notifications, Incoming call's ringtone and mainly the system sounds are relayed on the Internal Speaker NOT over the bluetooth speaker as it used to in 4.2
So, I am kindly asking the smart guys here to come with a permanent fix, a bluetooth driver ported from 4.2 to 4.3? Something flashable or i dont know I'm now using 4.2 because of the bluetooth issues, and i really like how smooth 4.3 feels like.
Thank you and please help us out! I'm sure i'm not the only one with 4.3 BT issues.
Hi,
I have a Wiko Darkfull with stock rom and plan to buy a bluetooth headset, and have tested with three different Bluetooth headset (all new) and the sound that others hear is very bad...
With the 3 models, the sound that I heard is very good, but the person on the other side says that barely realize what I say, the sound is very bad and distorted.
In the store we tested 4 headset, two of the same brand and two other different, and always the same thing...
It's happened to anyone else? Solutions?
Which ROM? KK?
Recently I re-start using bluetooth headset and I run into the same very poor audio quality (overamplified, sounding cracking) you reported.
I've tried three bt headset:
- Samsung (bt v3.0)
- Plantronics (bt v3.0)
- Nokia (bt 2.1)
I've done a lot of test (also flashing back JB) and here the response:
- With KK the audio quality during phone call is very poor (all three headsets).
- With KK the audio quality is good when I forward media audio to the bt headset (only Plantronics support this function).
- With JB the audio quality during phone call is good with Plantronics and very poor with Samsung (Nokia not tested).
- With JB the audio quality during media audio forwarding has not been tested.
Do you have the same behaviour? Did you solve it?
Hi,
In my Wiko Darkfull, it's software problem with stock ROM (JB).
I solve this problem when install the MIUI 6 ROM (JB).
Try another ROM!!!
OMG! Sorry!
I've done a search I thought in the Moto RAZR I forum and I believed to write in the RAZR I forum!
Sorry!
Hello,
i have the Xperia Z3compact for over One Year.
I'm on the road every day, so I use the Sennheiser Presence Bluetooth Headset for any call.
My only Problem is when calling; other's hear me to low! They have to increase their speakers to maximum and had problem to hear me. The Sound Quality is very good but they here me too low.
I have tested every Rom from (original) Android 4.4.4 over 5 Lollipop Versions (stock and rooted Rom's) and now on the newest Sony Android 6.0.1
-all with same bad results
When I'm calling with the Phone (without Headset) all here me perfect and loud.
But not with the BT Headset!
Then i have tested Cyanogenmod Cm12.x and wow the Problem with Bluetooth headset is completely gone
All here me loud and perfect!
But on CM the camera Quality is gone and I have the fisheye problem.
Now the big question:
why is the BT Headset outgoing mic volume louder than on any other Rom's?
And is there any option to increase the Bluetooth outgoing mic volume with a rooted (stock) Rom?
I know about the mixer_paths.xml file.. but no one ever, write here; How to tune the Bluetooth outgoing Mic volume!?!
All only tune the z3c inside mic's and speakers..
CM Mod is nice but buggy there is no stable Version and the cam quality is crap.
So please, if any one have a idea what I can try? to increase Bluetooth Mic Volume!
Help me!
Information:
The Problem is not my Hardware...
I have tested the Bluetooth Headset with other Smartphone without problems!
I have tested the Headset with another new Z3compact -same result other here me to low on BT Headset Calls.
So there is no Hardware defect.
PS: Sorry for my bad English.
Hope someone can help me
Alex from Germany
