[Q] 364MB kernel-partial port from Sammy to ICS

I have a simple question. Is it possible to port the changes Sammy made to his kernel (364MB) into ICS kernels?
At this moment, with Devil's kernel, we have 327MB... that would be 37MB MORE
That would be pretty cool, because more available RAM in total is always better

we already have kernels with more than 364mb ram... check out i9000 development section bro!!!

I don't want a BIGMEM kernel which breaks 720p rec/play....

Check, for example, SlimICS thread. About 387 mb of ram and AFAIK everything is working nicely. It isn't traditional big mem kernel etc..

720p now works with every build + bigmem kernel, if you install a patch via CWM. You can find the patch it developement section. midnight kernel brings you most RAM (384). I can't say that changes user experience dramatically, but helps.

try devil 2_0.62 kernel which come with 390 mb ram without any problem.........there is another version with 402 mb ram but it break 720 hd video recording

Yeah, using xL BM devil for now, no 720,but i dont use video recording

I've used devil before (best kernel for me ) and I'm happy to have 390MB ram without breaking anything.
I already said to him, that I would kiss him, if I where a girl xD

Now I can wait a little bit more, before I will buy a newer phone.

Thx for the quick response. I was looking for the mod section but could't find it, sry for that. Im using chracks ics rom. Its stock ics just themed.

Carbon custom kernel i9305

Hi,
have someone tried carbon Rom on i9305 with custom kernel agni? I dont want a Problem with efs. I have a backup, but dont want to play it back.
With stock kernel i have wifi problems

this must be moved ... why dont u read the rules , but anyway i took a look at the morning when the news was fresh , could be done though not easily
