Hello I've tried to change the file feature but says that I cant save because its read-only ... My phone is rooted .. Which program should I use to modify ?

use root explorer, rename the .ogg file and save. finished

Hi All
I try to change welcome screen but i can, it says access deny.
any advices?

Hello,
yes firstly access denied is because it is being used, so what you really do is to create a same name file outside of the directory and then paste it into the XDA windows\ directory.
Alternatively, you can always copy the file with the same name into your sd card and then copy and paste it under windows directory.

I have done like what u said but it still says access denied! if i try to delete or remane it but i can't. if i copy to sd card the copy to window still access denied.
any advice? pls...........

The welcome screen cannot be replaced when using Windows file explorer. It will say "access denied". You should use Total Commander or GSFinder+.

the easiest way is to connect ur ppc via active sync and explore your windows folder through it, replace the PNG file and softreset
I think that is what he/she did and could not make it to work. I totally forgot that I use the tool and should have mentioned it.
Anyhow if you need that file I will upload it tonight when get back home so you can install it onto your xda and then try it again.

Guy i used to do that way, it still say access deny eventhough i copy to sd card n use file xplorer to manage it but the result is 0

Thanks Jehanzeb i have installed resco xplorer then i can copy/replace it. thanks man!
No problemo, to be honest when I came back home I totally forgot about it. Now when I remmebered it and connected my xda your issue has been resolved.

there is an easier method, just in case...
u need root and then to extract bootloader file. open it with an text editor. then find the lines where u see "use audio 1", change 1 with 0 and then push back the file to replace the old one...

Right as the title says i want to remove the startup sounds on my galaxy s but i dont know how ?
Im running Tiramisu EVO ULTRA rom and CF-Root-XW_NEE_JVH-v3.2-CWM3RFS Kernel and have SGS Tools Installed and even when i disable boot sound in that it dont work ?
I was told to install the above kernel as that would solve it but it hasn't.
Also i been told to delete some file in system/media but something could go wrong? is this true?

Use root explorer, goto system/etc, find PowerOn.wave & delete it. If you think you might need it again just move it to your external_sd.

search on xda to download a rom with froyo 2.2.1 in .zip format file. Open this with winrar and extract the apk keyboard file you are interested.
did that but cant find keyboard in it???

If you already have the rom in. Zip format, look for the file called AxT9IME.apk.
You have to rename,with root explorer in system / app (if there are) AxT9IME.apk AxT9IME.odex to Axt9IME.apk.bak and AxT9IME.odex.bak then push the AxT9IME.apk that you are getting into the zip file.restart the phone and try it

Try to mount R/W to R/O on top and then rename or copy it other wise it wont work.

have you used the root explorer application for files rename?

Can u check of u have root access properly use root checker from play store that myte help if it's root issue

In your file explorer, is that your system is mounted as r/w instead of r/o (top left in Root Exolorer, click on" Mount r/w")?
That means Read/Write-Read/Only...
