Which firmware is running on your phone? Some older firmware files of Froyo and GB have a huge RAM compensation.
Maybe you should backup your contacts and reset your phone via factory reset (settings -about phone)

if you're interested, then flash over odin fw.JW6 and semaphore kernel to 2.7.4 and flash saurom jw6.je cwm's great work on GB.Jinak rom you choose what you choose, then it is an ideal system ram.
I have a S+ there isn't a i9001 Q&A so im posting it here, sorry if I posted it in the wrong section!

Maybe you should try to root your phone and flash a new custom Rom. Because the high usage seems to be an software issue.

My phone is using with all aps closed from the task manager + ram cleared from task manager 270 mb of the 352...

I used it on stoke deodex rom XXLF3...i dn't knw whetr it will work on custom roms but u can try if you want...Dn't forget to backup the SystemUI.apk.

Tried INT2EXT but aps get forced to close.Is it because Link2sd ?
Edit : I fixed the force to close problem by Deleting mountsd script and link2sd script and wiping dalvik cache.
it is happen to me too... but hen im ready deleted the other script.. i cannot install any apps anymore

Start from framework-res.apk learn to decompile it and modify images in drawable folders.
Age doesn't matter.i can say i am only 17 i can't do this.another can say i am only 65 i can't do this.just kidding but atleast start something to learn.

You should first concentrate on theming different apk's. that will help u understand how basically layouts are implemented.dont go on straight cm11 try with cm9,cm10 they are simpler then cm10.1 ...cm11
