Anyone know a way to keep the smartwatch 2 from messing up wifi? I'm on 4.3 6606
When I y to use wifi with the watch connected I get no data till I turn the watch off.
I have the same problem after the last update 4.3 version 10.4.B.0.569. Smartwatch app v 1.3.19 . I tried two different regions but still the same.
There are many other users with same problem here:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Software-Updates/wifi-problem-after-4-3-update-on-xperia-z/td-p/490591
Please modify the title of the discussion because it's hard to understand from results! I was opening a new one!
Put "problems" or "disconnection" please
Yep, I have exactly the same problem with WiFi when using my smartwatch 2 whilst on 4.3.
I tried 2 different ROMs from 4.3 with a wipe before flashing. Both had the same problem, so ended going back to 4.2.2 until someone can find a fix.
Other users with this problem in "4.3 bugs" discussion in general forum.
Same problem here! Still no news from sony though. Now i wish i hadnt updated to 4.3 at all !!! @@@

So i've done my own testing with this, and I think it has something to do with the 2.4ghz wifi radio. If the wifi is on 5ghz, i can connect no issue with the SW2 enabled, but if the wifi is 2.4ghz (or hotspot) it goes.. no
So yeah, until sony has a fix, it's either 5ghz or 4.2.2
do not know.....
I have this problem too
Anyone knows ig this affect other smart watches like Pebble or even bluetooth headphones/speakers?
The Asus tf prime had horrible bt problems with wifi enabled, could be similar?

Sorry, but it only worked for a few hours.
I found it.
What I did was, I took the wpa_supplicant.conf from fw 4.2.2 and replace the one in fw 4.3 and now I can use my SW2 without losing my wifi connection.
Your device has to be rooted.
Use explorer with root excess.
It can be found in here on your device: /system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
Don't forget to reboot your phone.
Enjoy your SW2 on fw 4.3
Cheers
Tnx for the info heyfawakka.
The thing is i am EXPECTING a solution from sony. Why should i have to find a fix for a bug ?

heyfawakka updated his post and he said it only worked for a few hours. You can root your phone and return to 4.2 or you can hope that sony releases a fix for this (i doubt it will be anytime soon )

Hi all, im looking for anyone that can provide the xperia ftf file for rogers xperia t version.
I have tried to get it by repairing my phone but i get this error; sony update engine doesn't have software available for your phone.
So even if you dont have the ftf file and can share the blob file i can make the ftf file.
Thanks
Just want to add a not for new LT30a phone owners.
Do not flash or root your phone with a rogers branded xperia t (LT30A) with out backing it up by running the pc companion update first. If you do you wont be able to go to stock until we have a FTF file here to use with flashtool (rogers is checking build prop or something that stops the update).
Now I have already had 2 rogers xperia t's and can say with out question the roms here are not for our xperia T's. they will flash but you will get horrible battery life (my phone dies on my desk in 4 hours just sitting there not even using it with a full battery).
Also you will mess up the LTE network, if i connect on LTE my phone gets hot enough for me to put it down. you will also notice that our versions of the xperia T have an option in mobile network settings under network mode to use LTE (preferred)/wcdma/gsm. well if you open that option LTE is missing. It's there on stock roms.
All the issue's above happened on both my Xperia T's.
Stuck with a pretty paper weight for now.
Any ways just want to save someone else from the headaches I'm experiencing.
Means its not on Sony's servers. Had that happen for the at&t TL too. Had to wait a week or so till they got it on there.

What version of the FW do you have?
If you have the latest version you will not see any updates - you will also not be able to DL the latest version of the firmware through the PC companion software because there is nothing to DL. This leaves you without the ability to create a ftf for your phone - just like me. I bought mine late last week and although I am very pleased with the current state of the phone, I plan on purchasing my unlock code and moving forward with Rom installation etc. once my intial terror of creating a lovely coaster is overwith. I'm on MTS and will legitimately unlock then get flashing soon.

Not true. There is always a repair option that will download and install the latest version even if your phone had that latest version

How do I customise the signature on xda premium app?
here's what sucks, i had the uk generic .303 rom flashed and i can repair the phone with pc comanion. problem is it puts on the .195 o2 uk rom.
Hope it does not take to long to get the rogers ftf file here.

OK I followed this guide to create an FTF and got it created. Where can I upload it to?
http://mytechencounters.wordpress.c...eate-an-ftf-file-of-your-xperia-ics-firmware/
However, I don't know is the ftf .193 or .195? Does the "blob_fs" get created with the new update version .195 or does it generate a backup of my .193?
It will be the new version. You can upload to google drive easily enough. Just zip the file first.

this version is not rootable right now, so if you count on root to do anything, avoid this one.
but if you are pure stock person, go for it, IT IS AMAZING, damn fast, damn smooth, never felt JB like this, NOR ON MY ASUS TF300T!
go for it if rot is of no importance to you

if it you could do it over the air, you MAY keep the root using ROOTKEEPER, but this way, using PCC or SUS , it's not possible to keep root...
as i said, if you don't care about root, go for it bro, it's easy to update, and the new firmware is just amazing
hope you enjoy your TX
or if you have unlocked the bootloader just flash a custom kernel with root.
DooMKerneL is my suggestion

You didnt understand. I said I cannot update it through Wi-Fi. Its saying "your device already has the latest available system update" but in PC Companion or PC Update Service says that update is avilable. Why my TX didn't got update notification?
or this update can only be done through PC?
by the way which method u used to update? Air or PC?
Maybe because it just realease a day from now.. So maybe.no OTA for now maybe a week or month will be available via OTA.. my brother accidentally update my xTX and i was pissed because i cant root it.. But the update has noticeable changes on performance.. Battery improves too.. But wifi thetering has its issue as i read someone posting it.. But for me i dont bother by that i dont use.it.. What bothers me is i cannot have root.. without root i feel my phone is less usefull for me.. But as the previous.post if your not rooted user definitely this update is good for you..

i DID understand bro, and what i said was just an explanation, for ANY condition, i meant under ANY condition, in future, it is impossible to keep root when you update through PCC or SUS, but you MAY keep the root using rootkeeper if you update via OTA.
it's normally usual that new firmwares are first available through PCC, not OTA, it's not weird..
I myself, downloaded the FTF file from Hong Kong, then flashed it via flashtools, you don't need to unlock bootloader if you want to flash a Sony Official Firmware
don't worry about anything, this update is just fabulous even without root, it's a BIG BIG performance improvement
let me know what you do, will help you as much as i can

seems like flashing the old kernel, having root, and then flash the new kernel won't do us any good, it keeps rebooting
and if you stay on old kernel, i mean Doom Kernel v07, so you are using the old kernel not the updated one which you actually looking for
it seems that there is still no way to have root with the new kernel righ away
Thank you very much :victory:

Guys anyone tried Tethering on this device? Mine is not working, when I activate it, an error comes and does not activate... It seems like a rom problem, my friends xperia Z doing the same thing... Does anyone know how to fix it? It is all original rom untouched... I sent it to repair but came back as it is like before... No luck...

I'm having the latest update 4.4.4,14.4.A.0.157 and C6903 version, so when playing even simple games like Candy Crush with WI-FI or 4G turned OFF, the phones gets warm.. also with Google Chrome browsing or Facebook.
Is there a way to solve this? I don't want to send my phone to Sony service, waiting weeks to get it back...
If root can solve, this how to root my phone? Never rooted an android phone so if possible I want some detalied informations about rooting and unrooting(I don't want to lose the warranty, sometimes I would want to unroot the phone). Saw some things with CPU settings that helps Z1 to don't get warm anymore, maybe you guys knows. Thanks!
well first if you can install a custom rom with LB
if i didn't solved your problem
i recommend you to use a custom Kernel but you need ulock your bootloder in order to flash kernel

Hey,
so I got my new Xperia Z today
It arrived on 4.3 but I decided to flash a 4.4.4 FTF file. Everything worked fine but now the audio only comes through the headphone port.
I tried cleaning it and everything but nothing worked so far...
Hope someone can help me out
Edit: It works normally on firmware 10.4.B.0.569, but everything above that doesnt work
Help would be highly appreciated since I just got this phone
