Thanks for moving your question. Just want to keep the development thread clean.
here is a chance that your phone is not sending the correct BT tether profile so that your gear can find it. If all else fails check out my tutorials. If you need more help after that let us know!

From what i know.. not a guru.
You should have the profile enabled.
Im on sprint and thats a native option on my phone to tether. Now on Gear, i alway had that option even from early version of Null.

you say from your gear you had the option to enable the internet even before you turn your bt on? i might have to reinstall the null or maybe find a different rooted rom for my phone?
The option has been enabled from all null as well. Unless like he said.. The profile from the phone wouldn't support this option.
Come to think of it.. Might be the way ur profile on ur phone gets set with gear.

That means your phone does not support it fully. So you have 2 options.
Option 1) use 3rd party options like PdaNet+
Option 2) find a rom for your phone that supports it correctly.
See my tutorial for in for on 3rd party option. And yes it does work for Google play. But must be using null_17 and enable Network Spoofer

On the gear, enable network spoofer WIFI. IF you need for info check out this thread. (Includes Screenshots)
I've decided to include PdaNet with the next version of null, iv also optimized it for the gear display to fit nice.
Stay tuned for build 18 release.

Not on AT&T without adding the feature and charging additionally for it.
I know Verizon does it for free after the FCC case about the LTE bandwidth.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
It works, no problem. So before I give you the answer, please be prepared to smack yourself in the head.
Ok then, first why would you freeze tether when you are trying to use it?
Ok, when you disable tethering provision in Wanam xposed, you can use the att mobile hot spot.
Turn the att mobile hot spot on, hit OK. (if it goes off, turn it on again) When you see the att verify box, hit the home button, do not hit OK.
Open the app again, hot spot should be on, configure your access point.
Enjoy!
I found that ruebarb's method works but it gives me a message about tethering not being enabled for my account. When I freeze provisioning in TiBu I get a force close.

Teathering isn't enabled for your ATT account, that's the point of this work around, you are not paying $20 to use your own data. This mod can't hack the ATT system. You just go around it. If you hit the ok on the ATT box, it closes the app.
Indeed.
I was just saying that the difference between not freezing and freezing whilst using your instructions will yield a notification or a force close, respectively.

Folks don't freeze tethering to use the method I listed
Here's how it works.
The way I got it to work is I disabled the tethering provision via Wanamm...
Then - when I enable tethering I also get the popup box for verification, but when the contact AT&T message and ok button comes up, just hit the home button instead...
Wifi tethering will remain on and active without needing the verification. You can then go back in and configure it and whatever no problem. :good:
Thank you Captain Hindsight

I was told if I root my gear I can use bluetooth tether and essentially run apps on my gear. The apps I'm looking to run are for my car alarm and ingress. So what I was wondering is what I was told true? And do I just have to root my gear or does my phone have to be rooted as well? Because right now I have the Note 3 completely stock and unrooted.

You dont need to root your gear in order to run custom apps, depending on what type of app it is tho they may or may not work..
I would read up on side loading applications first, test the waters out.. the apps you require may work straight out of the box by simply side loading them to your gear with out rooting.
Alternatively if you find the apps dont work, you can try loading my rom which includes a few library's, unlocked features & other various functions that some apps require in order to run correctly.
EDIT: Here is a simple guide on how to sideload applications: HERE

Awesome thank you! I'll have to read up on how you sideload apps. I saw a YouTube video where guy was actually playing ingress on his watch, what was on his phone screen transferred to watch screen same for his car alarm app, he just didn't say if it was rooted or not I just figured it was lol. Sorry had to edit my post. I do think you probably needs to be rooted to run something like ingress since it's an online game and the gear can't run anything online like a game or Facebook so I guess maybe that's why it has to be rooted and use a Bluetooth transfer lol I'm a very big newbie when it comes to the gear.

Bluetooth tethering is the easiest way. If you root your watch you can actually install play store and download as if it's a tablet tethered. Some apps may need to be wifi spoofed with is a xposed module included in null.
Keep in mind your phone needs to be running an international rom. I had to get rid of my T-Mobile rom for an international to enable Bluetooth tethering. Wasn't the watch holding me back, rather the phone itself

How do I stop my phone from opening an app when I get a notification in it. Example; I get a notification that I have a new post in Instagram. When I unlock my phone, it'll go directly to that post. Itll do it also if I get a notification while on the phone in a call. Soon as I take the phone away from my ear, it'll go to that notification.
I have a carrier Verizon Note 9, with 9.0, not rooted.
Anyone?
Are you sure you don't click the notification or screen before unlocking the phone?
This is an android feature i.e. it will land up on the app when you click a notification on lock screen. Obviously you have to go through the lock screen.
If this is not the case, I think you have to debug via logcat.

Thanks. I've already confirmed that was it too. But I never thought to check the Gear for the problem. It did occur to me though that it happened everytime I got a notification on my watch that the same app would open on my phone.
