Hello there. I've been trying to do an ota update for my HTC One to android 4.3 for a while now and it hasn't been successful. Everytime I check I get the "Your phone is up to date" message. I'm stuck on 4.2.2. I've tried contacting HTC about my problem, and apparently my device is the O2 version which according to them, hasn't received the update yet, although from my search, that doesn't seem to be the case. I bought my device thinking it was the unlocked, worldwide version of the One; the place I've purchased it from said nothing about it being an O2 device. I think this might have to do with the fact that when I setup my device, I choose my country (Jordan) instead of the UK. How can I update it to 4.3 without having to root it? Is there a way to change the country settings and check for an update? Thank you for your time

Hello I Purchased A HTC One AT&T Unlocked Online, But I Don't Live In The US I Don't Use AT&T Sim I Try To Update My Firmware From Android 4.1.2 to Android 4.3 I Am In Need OF This Update Can Someone Please Help Me.
It Isn't Bootloaded
It Isn't Rooted
I Have Never Received A Update (From Either HTC or AT&T)
Please Help.
How did you try to update it?
Not being on AT&T won't prevent the update, you just need internet access. Maybe you can download the OTA and stick it in the right place , if there's a link somewhere. Is AT&T even up to 4.3 yet? 4.2.2 was skipped.

For The Past 3 Days I Have Tried Several Ways, No Help When i Try It Says No Update Available.
An When I Use The AT&T Update The Box Dissapears.
What's the AT&T update? Anyway, have you confirmed there even is an update? I understand HTC wanted US carriers on 4.3 by some date, but don't recall which or whether it happened.
same problem here..

Its The Software That Comes With AT&T Phones That Allows Them To Update Android Firmware, I Was Wondering If There Was A Way To Remove At&t An Run Stock HTC Sense On The Phone.
Hey all!
Had my Three UK Htc One stolen a month ago and received my replacement from my insurers today. Was told it's a sim unlocked phone and should work on my network.
Went and put my Three sim in, restored my backup from my previous phone that was stored on HTC Sync / HTC backup and went to update.
It downloaded the update but when it was verifying it came up with "we have determined that your phone may be running a modified version of its system software.... etc etc" and wouldn't update.
Am i right in thinking this is because it's a three sim? or something to do with it being sim free?
Was considering rooting and unlocking the bootloader / S-Off'ing but does that make it so that it won't receive OTA updates? Would it be an issue with having a three sim in or would i be able to flash a standard non branded ruu after super cid'ing?
Bit confused as exceptionally tired but would like to get my phone to a normal condition (preferably rooted but still able to receive OTA updates)
Cheers for any impending help

I recently bought a factory unlocked at&t s4 active. Will i still get updates from samsung even though its unlocked from at&t carrier. Mine is struck at 4.2.2 . When I try to update it in About device>Software update it says "Software update interrupted. No updates available. Plz try after 24 hours".
Will be happy if someone has answers for this.
The OTA update comes from AT&T servers, not Samsung, I believe that you have to be an AT&T customer to use the update function on phone.

I have an HTC M7, Running Android 4.1.2, (on AT&T Network). I bought it "unlocked" (used), and have been trying to update it to 4.3 or higher. The Update function inside the settings supposedly downloaded an update (271MB) and informed me the phone was up to date after a lengthy download and install. But I didn't notice a change in anything. It still says 4.1.2 (#1.26.504.12). Someone help me please. The HTC website says this phone is supposed to be updated to lollipop.

at&t phones must be connected to the at&t network to update. The best solution imo, is to S-OFF the phone and convert it to another version.
This phone is connected to AT&T Network... It updated once.
Hey guys!
Today I have purchased my first Samsung device since Galaxy S2 (I've been using xiaomi since then) and I have met a bit of an issue with my phone. The current version installed is One UI 1.1 (June 1 security patch) and the phone says it's the latest version. I have purchased it from Hungarian Telekom provider. Is it possible, that the provider is handling OTA updates? If so, is it possible to install the generic version instead of the provider firmware via odin? I thought provider OTA is no longer an existing stuff, but It seems that it's not.
Thanks for the answers!
Edit: most importantly: is it possible to relock bootloader if I wanted to sell it sometime?
Yes, the provider handles the updates unless you are on the unlocked Samsung firmware in which case Samsung itself will provide updates. There are tons of firmware files floating around the forums here, you might be able to flash one if one works with your phone.
Thanks, I'm surely gonna do it if the bootloader can be locked back.
Frija App should be able to help you download the correct firmware. Just be sure to install the Visual C++ Runtimes (2008 and 2010) before launching the app.
