Hey, i have used these files to flash with odin and downgraded successfully from 4.3 to 4.1.2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2023527.
Remember that this is only FOR I9305 and not for I9300!
You will still have KNOX bootloader.

I'm about to move to Australia and wanted to unlock my Samsung S3 LTE, which is currently locked to EE. I've looked at doing it via the network, who charge about £20 and also on Ebay, who don't seem to support my phone. Is there a way of unlocking it?
The phone is running Android 4.3 and hasn't been rooted or customised in any way.

Stop saying crap. You can downgrade if you didn't install a stock 4.3.

Hi,Pianoman91,you can unlock your device method downgrade- flashing firmware 4.1.1 from this forum:http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=738977
You need previously root your device, install a custom recovery and then flash firmware 4.1.1. Then use the hidden menu. This must to work! Before you must to make all backups.
Once done, you can flash again 4.3 frmware. You have to be aware that this proces will change Knox status from 0X0 to 0X1. This method is tested and works.Make on your own risk.
Thanks a develloper fzeta !
Best regards!

As mentioned, using this does trigger the Knox counter- but if that doesn't bother you then it's worth doing this method to unlock your phone. After I'd used Odin to go back to 4.1 and unlocked the networks I just reconnected the phone to Kies and it then updated the firmware back to 4.3. Tried a Vodafone Sim card in my phone today to make sure it was unlocked and it worked perfectly.

We are talking about two different methods,Pianoman91.I think if you try flash oficial firmware from 4.3/official/ to 4.1.1 trough Odin you will not be able to do it.Downgrade to bootloader 4.3 it is impossible in this time. But if we apply the method I mentioned should work .You should flashing trough Custom recovery a firmware modified.
Best regards!
HI there i want to downgrade from 4.4.4 (TGP rom) to 4.1.2 (stock) to do that "how to" that unlock my phone..
The way i want to do it is by "puting" 4.1.2 oficial firmware via Odin... Is this the right thing to do?
Thanks!
due to the changes in the bootloader it's a little difficult...what bootloader you have? 4.3? the one with knox counter? but not with secure donwload? if yes you need 4.1.2 with 4.3 bootloader....search forum and you will find it.
Hi, if I was on Lollipop, and I downgrade to kitkat, will I still receive OTA updates?

Yes you will, as long as you are using the stock recovery. Even if you are rooted you would still get the update. But to flash the update you need to full unroot.

Which firmware are you trying to downgrade it to? You can downgrade to KitKat (NC2/NL1), but can't downgrade to Jellybean (MJ5)...

Could be a bit more specific about the error and how you've tried to downgrade it via odin?
Hello
I have a moto g titan xt1068 dual sim which was originally running stock lollipop 5.02 and was updated with the OTA stagefright update and then the OTA MM6.0 official by motorola.
I have since installed custom roms cyanogen 13.0 and cyanpop 6.2
I know my bootloader is now the latest, so my question is can I now only install MM based roms? or can I still install KK & LP based custom roms?
or will installing LP or KK based roms hard brick my device?
Many thanks for any help
i'd like to know it too...
I'm not sure, but I can't really see why not. The bootloader being the latest changes jack squat on the question of being able to install older versions of Android or not. I mean, I WAS able to install the stock LP ROM on the MM bootloader, but your mileage may vary.
Yeah you can. Just don't try to downgrade your bootloader while downgrading to previous stock Android version. Itll brick your phone.
But just flashing custom Roms is safe.

That's bullsh-t.. You can always downgrade your rom, but you have to be sure you're not downgrading your bootloader. So if you're using oneclick installer you have to remove the command from the script which will try to downgrade your bootloader. Also after downgrading you have to be super sure that you will not update it with OTA!
Btw.: I'm not sure downgrading through fastboot can even brick your phone.

That's right.. You can touch your bootloader only when you have to upgrade it, for example in case of updating to Android N. Which I think will never happen (of course officially).
Here you can find a nice guide to downgrade your Android version.
