CM11 is the newest version of cyanogenmod. It runs really well on my D4. Check out stargo's thread in the dev section.

No. You must be on the stock rom to be able to input the unlock code.

Yes? I don't know why they wouldn't be flashable.
Just seems there's a lot of non sense roms. Heard there could be bricking issues

As of 7/03 I believe, that is no longer the case.

That is the point of the Original section, you know. And besides, your question was only whether or not they were suitable for flashing. If you brick, well, that's a different issue.
Asop isn't the only roms in original section there is a sense based rom there
