Hi, my phone keeps losing root access. I've done everthing correctly i'm sure but after a few hours root access is denied. I've tried re-rooting and flashing different recoveries and different roms but it keeps happening. I've searched through the forums but can't find any answers. Does anyone know any fixes? Thanks.

First:
DON'T use CWM! It always ****ed up my system partition and I had to restore a backup because I was unable to reroot again!
Then secondly:
Try to flash everything manually. Use this supersu zip file from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 and also flash the recovery(TWRP) manually.
Maybe you need to reinstall your system.

Hi, I`m with my first Android and tried to root it using this tutorial (i'm with stock rom):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327599
Everything seemed to work fine, but it never asked me for root permission and each program that needs it, tells me that I have no root access.

Do you have the ROM Manager installed? if yes...switch on wifi and select the clockworkmod choosing the LG Optimus2X and wait for it to be flashed.
Do you get that the apps dont have root access?
---------- Post added at 10:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:47 PM ----------
just have a look at this thread....has some information about rooting....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458879
hope it helps you
ROM manager says that I cannot select clockworkmod cause I haven't got root permission
I've tried the tutorial to get root access a dozen times. In all of them things seems ok, but when I open apps that need root access, they tell me I don't have it.

Personally i think that there is some problem....try rebooting both your computer and the O2X and then restart the rooting process....before that read the thread a bit carefully...might be you are missing something...the rooting process normally works good...
I tried this one and think it worked.

More problems...
Root Check Basic says it's rooted;
Busybox installer also says it's rooted. It installs but if I open it again it says Busybox isn't installed.
Titanium Backup says it isn't rooted. FasterFix also.
Is there anyway to go back to zero and do it all again?
Update superuser. Reboot then try again..
Download rom manager flash the recovery.

Here is the thread with the fastboot files in case anyone else can't find it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1622256
I'm surprised that Superuser was still on your phone after flashing the fastboot file. Did you wipe data and cache?

Hi everyone.
First of all, i am sorry if my question has been answered somewhere. i have searched thoughout this and other sites and have asked in several threads, with no reply.
I have rooted my Gear (impactor) but my SU binary update just fails installation every time. Someone told me this is not fatal, so after 2 days, i tried the next steps and am able to load the null zip file, install it, but at the very end, with no error message, it reboots to download mode. everytime. at this point i have to use odin to load the stock recovery and start again.
No guide or comment in any thread suggests anyone has had this problem. As you can probably tell, this is all quite new to me, so I do understand that it could just be me doing something wrong, that others may take for granted.
Also, my null installation says i am installing onto a i9300 - is this normal?
1)How can i manually update the su binary (tried superuser, superuser fixer. busybox), and is that related to the rom not working?
2)Why does the installation get to the very end but then just reboot into download mode...?
I just want to be able to use this rom but nothing i try is letting me get past this stage. Any help would be appreciated massively.

Have you read the instructions ?
You need to flash the recovery first, then flash the rom. The rom is for THE GEAR, not your phone.
Right !!

Thanks for your reply.
I did read it, and i did follow it. Ive done almost nothing on my phone, and flashed the recovery(odin), moved the rom zip to the watch (adb or wondershare) - and then gone into recovery mode to install it.
Was this wrong? Or have i missed something important?

Follow these instructions TO THE LETTER then flash the SuperSu.zip when you're done.
So flashing euphoria rom I seem lose my root every time. Don't remember this happening with my n5. I do remember having the option of rooting in twrp or just flashing a zip though. Having to go to the computer on every update is annoying. Anyone have a solution to either keep root or apply it without needing a computer?

There are a couple of reasons for people not replying.
First of all, the lack of details on your problem makes it impossible to determine the solution.
1. What do you mean bricked? Bootloop? Stuck on OnePlus logo? Hard brick? How did you get it bricked in the first place?
2. The restore tool removes TWRP. Have you installed it again?
3. What do you mean you can't install or the update the ROM? Is there an error message? Are you trying to flash a custom ROM in the stock recovery?
4. You waited less than 2 hours. You realize there are different time zones? Some people are sleeping, others are at work.

Hey you self-entitled prick, transfer a copy of the full ROM onto your phone through adb/USB OTG/MTP and flash it through the stock recovery. If you had previously unlocked your bootloader and have TWRP installed, use that to flash instead. If you do not know what any of the above means, look for it yourself through the forums.

Reflash with the MSMtool after re-downloading everything and verifying all downloads first before proceeding. Use the tool I have posted at https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/guide-official-op3t-stock-reset-to-oos-t3598864
Ensure you verify before starting the flash. Also uninstall or deactivate any anti virus application installed on your PC.
should i change the data partitions and everything to f2fs or other thing. system to ext4 data to f2fs
For now, don't worry about the data partitions. As mentioned above, reflash from MSMTools, verify the downloaded package first, and then check. All your issues are probably caused by a bad file.
