The only reason I come to XDA any more is to check back, in anticipation, that there is a new section for the 1520. Since I traded my GS3 for a 1520, I seem to be spending all my time at "other" websites.
I was annoyed at first by not having a 1520 section, but I am liking the other forums and community. Same WP information I could be getting here, but more colorful layout and less haters. I figure XDA just has too much revenue and wants to give some of those ad-click stats away.
I want to believe XDA has good reasoning for not having a section for us, but I will just tell myself it is because of the small market share...
Just got my 1520 RM-937 yesterday, so this definitely has my vote. Considering all the buzz about this phone, I was really surprised to see that XDA didn't have a section for it. Fingers crossed, this will be remedied soon.
Considering it as a new phone. Waiting for the section too!

My wife just moved from her iphone to the 1520 and she is not a techie at all. Pretty amazing considering she had to open her own att account to get the phone. Now I am jealous and considering getting one too.

I wouldn't even bother. I'd go to the contact link at the bottom of the page. That thread is nothing but a black hole on XDA's server. Seriously, its a counter productive thread.

hi guys, I really love XDA, im on it all the time, But i wanted to make my own forum just like this, except its focused on just 1 phone, Is there any possible way to create a forum the same as this and excellent as this one?

well there are lots of free websites that allows you to create forums which you can manage as you like or create one on your own with phpbb, vb etc with your domain. If its a forum, you can assign mods, database or just anything else.

Well then you have to find oue, and make it do what you want. Most forums are based on phpBB or vBulletin. I think XDA is vBulletin.

Simple. I've made a forum before.
Buy vBulletin or another forum software. Get yourself some hosting, according to the specs. Install the forum on the server using the manual. Then just start tweaking the settings and get it noticed.

Of course it did. Forums needs users and by only focusing on ONE device, the forum becomes a ghost town when a new version gets released. Its not a sustainable model at all.

I went to use my "abandoned" e680i for a small project, and felling nostalgic, tryed to go to motorolafans, but the site was dead. Fortunately, google found this thread . My e680i was really useful up to 2009 when 3G was something I could not ignore anymore; I have fixed it about 2 times(changing small mosfets/broken display etc) and it still works.
Well, I am the guy who ported libsdl, quake, doom, scummvm and some others for the ezx family, a long time ago(7+ years?), but, as I am off cellphone dev scene because of time constraints, I too just registered just to say hi!

I've thought about getting a Windows Phone. Specifically the Lumia 521. I love the UI and hardware but I think not having apps like Instagram would be hard (its my favorite social network). I have also thought about the LG L9.

I've thought about the One S or the iPhone 5 because no one has the One S that I know and everyone that I know has an iPhone, and I feel left out. XD

The iPhone 5 is nice. Especially the camera. I would get one but I cannot afford it. I would get the iPhone over the One S, better hardware and the new iOS update should be pretty remarkable with Johnny Ive handling it.

One s, you can always count in devs for android devices. The iPhone us crap, my uncle gas one and so dies my brother and they hate it. It's worst then thus pine in my honest opinion

I might get a nexus 4 or an Htc phone/S4. I'm still debating to get an iPhone though, since only one of my friends has them.

Good luck with that. Theres going to be a day when apple loses its spot in the spotlight and goes after everyone who jailbreaked there software to make up for loss. Just like im sure they had something to do with making phone unlocking illegal.
