I restored Badland with TiBackup and it doesn't save my progress when I complete levels. I tried fixing permissions with Rom Toolbox, I tried TB Restore Fixer, and I also tried toggling Badland from a user app to a system app and back in hopes for it to fix it...
I still cannot save my progress.
Any tips on getting this fixed?
Thanks!
As a test I uninstalled the restored version of the game and installed it from the Play Store. Progress is now saved when I complete levels but since I didn't restore with TiBackup I'd have to start all over.
Hope this helps someone help me.
Any ideas maybe a suggestion of where I'm more likely to get an answer?

I don't know anything about the game badlands. But Titanium Backup will not restore appdata for some applications. For example TB will not restore data for Dropbox, Opera Mobile browser and Twitter. I have no idea why

I use titanium backup pro for my apps.
I did a full backup all apps + data
I realized that now I see no apps in the market.
If I go to market->my apps. It says no apps downloaded from the market.
Now I can't get any updates or anything. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I use Titanium Backup before and after ROM flashes, or lots of app updates, and I haven't seen this issue on my Samsung Captivate. I have v3.6.7.1 of Titanium Backup running on a Pheonix ROM. Just to confirm, I re-ran the batch "backup all user apps + system data" and after it completed, checked the market "My apps" area. Everything shows as expected in the "My apps" area on my phone.
Well i have the 3.6.0 paid version sideloaded.. Im running darky..

After dealing with frustration after frustration with apps and HC, I decided to switch over to CM7. I backed everything up with Titanium Backup Pro then did a nandroid, then installed CM7 release 29. Everything went great with the install but I can not restore any of my backed up apps.
When I go to my backup/restore list, then select an app to restore, I get the dialog for app only or app + data. If I hit app only, it comes back and says that "App restore complete" but when I look at my drawer, the app is not there and in TB Pro, it still has the line through the listed app. If I hit restore app + data, I get the message App + Data restore failed. I've tried downloading the apps from the Market, then trying to just restore the data but that doesn't work either. I get the message that says it's complete but when I load the app the first time, no settings have been changed.
I also tried going into root explorer, changing the /system/app directory to R/W but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I've updated su and busybox from within TB and using the stand alone apps. I've tried unmounting and remounting the sd card. I've tried rebooting. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
I have the nandroid so I can go back to HC and try an alternate backup method but I'd love to get this just to work.
The version of Titanium Backup that I am using is 3.7.4.1.
Thanks.

There are three options in the Problems? menu.
Check Wiki
Update Busybox
Update Superuser
I looked at the wiki and it didn't provide an answer to this problem. I updated Busybox again and Superuser was already updated.
I have TB set to keep 3 backups. I went and did another backup then verified all backup files. Over 100 files, including some that I just backed up under CM7, came up corrupt.
Any ideas why the majority of files backed up are corrupt? Clearly depending on TB to backup apps on the Nook was a bad idea.

I'm having this problem as well. TB has never worked on any of my roms. I usually try to do a lot of searching before I post, I'm usually not the first to have problems. But I can't seem to find a solution anywhere.
I think you have to go into settings and into application settings then tick the box to allow unknown sources.
So, I flashed a bad kernel yesterday and today had to revert back to a nandroid backup I made before flashing.
But, I had installed some apps, etc. last night so I wanted to restore all of my apps and data that backed up at 3am last night.
So, after i restored the nandroid backup, I did a "restore all apps and data" from Titanium Backup.
However, during my lunch break, I went to play Angry Birds Rio and it was as if I had never played it before. None of my scores were there anymore.
Every night at 3am, I have Titanium Backup do the following batch operations:
Backup all new apps & newer versions.
Backup all system data.
What gives? Am I doing something wrong?
Losing game data isnt a big deal, but I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing in the future.
Thanks!
Hopeful bump.
Have you tried uninstalling AB and doing another restore of just AB?
Do any of your other apps no longer have your data, or just AB?

Well, its weird...
Angry Birds Rio is the one where my data was lost.
I opened up the original Angry Birds earlier and my data still remained!
Do you think it could be something with the specific app that doesnt allow the data to be saved?
i posted a similar question in another thread. i tried moving the data from my og droid over from titanium and the only apps that did werent were angry birds and angry birds season
Are u using the free version or the free version and the pro key. Iv been using titanium since d1 and I always had that problem. Sometimes the data wouldn't load. Forget my exact method now but until I purchased the pro key, because I was tired of approving the apps manually, it would do that.
With the pro iv not had that problem. I always install system data then apps and data. Remembering to restart just after titanium is installed first elswise it doesn't see that u have done it
HTC thunder bolt
Remember that backing up all new apps and newer versions doesn't mean those that you change settings on. That backs up apps you have added since the last time you backed up or apps that have been updated through the market to a newer version.

Interesting...so if Angry Birds gets backed up with 1 level beaten and the next day I beat 3 more levels, will Titanium backup the data that says I beat the other 3 levels?
Not unless u back it up again.

OK so I'm trying to figure out what the best options are for backing my phone up every night.
Which of these should i do:
Redo backups for newer app versions
Backup all new apps & newer versions
Backup all user apps
Backup all system data
Backup all user apps & system data
Forced redo of your backups
Currently, I'm doing Backup all new apps & newer versions. Also doing Backup all system data. Is that wrong?
I should mention that angry birds resides on my SD card, does that make a difference in the backup or restore process?
Good day everyone, I have a small question which might sound odd to some of you, please note that I am aware of nandroid and titanium backup etc... as i have purchased titanium backup and find it extremely useful i know exactly what it does.
My question is pretty simple, is there an app that one can download and use, which makes a list of all apps installed and can backup that list either online or on the phone or in whatever way possible, and if one has to restore a phone or install a new rom etc.. can restore that list and the app would RE-DOWNLOAD all apps from market. I DON'T WANT TO RESTORE the apps from a backup, i just want an automated system to re-download and install the apps from the market directly. I know this might not make any sense to some/most of you, but the reason is quite simple, I've used titanium backup to make backups of my apps, but once restored some apps FC, and i can't be bothered to go through all apps one by one to check which are good and which need to be re-installed after every recovery I do. I know appbrain can show you what apps are installed, but i couldn't figure out a way to create a shopping list which i can use to re-install all the apps from the market after i do a rom isntall.
Thank you.
Rodi
erm..... as for apps i think there is only Titanium what can do batch restore.
re-downloading all your apps would really take a long time.
CM7 (ROM) does this, but do you really wanna swap ROMs for this reason, i doubt it.
can i just ask, when you use Titanium, are you restoring system data too ?? because this is the reason what causes FC's , i have suffered this before.
when using Titanium, its best to restore app + app data ONLY, system data is data kept from the previous ROM, therefor it causes issues (FC's) with the new ROM.
Yes, appbrain and the fast web installer does that.

For the time it takes, i don't mind, i'll set it on wifi and let it do it's thing, as for the question about app data and system data, well I don't backup system data, and when i restore i only restore apps only not even apps data, then on a 4-5 apps i restore app data.
markdj57: thx for the answer, can you give me a quick rundown on how to do it through appbrain? as i couldn't find a way to make it download the list of apps
Thank you fellas,
Rodi
AppBrain i download and frequently save the apps list .
Click on app and check install likewise on phone open AppBrain and install/Update .
Its not an automated process.
jje
Go to appbrain website and login using your google account.
Install appbrain and fast web installer from android market.
Sync with appbrain website using app.
On new firmware, do a sync. Appbrain detects new firmware so go to website and you will see 2 lists of apps. Copy all apps to new list and delete old list (optional) be careful you don't delete wrong list.
Enable fast web installer app.
Sync appbrain app. Hit the install button and all your apps will install. Sometimes takes a few times if all apps aren't available in market.
For a few days, some of my paid apps were not visible in the market but it sorted itself out eventually.
Hope this helps
Mark

I'm trying the Pure CE Rom...and up on trying to restore with titanium backup, it seems to install between 5 and 30 apps and then freezes.. I've tried copying my backup files to my internal storage, and am getting the same problem.
Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions?

It's not wise to batch restore apps between different roms. You're experiencing an incompatibility of apps between 2 different roms. If you watch your batch restore process you can see what app is not restoring. Uncheck that app and repeat the batch process until it hangs on another incompatible app. Uncheck that one and repeat the process until it finally completes.
Some tips for ya. NEVER restore system apps. They are red in color. You may experience bugs or glitches. Some apps that are yellow like bookmarks, Wi-Fi passwords, etc won't restore all the time. Some white apps that you previously installed on say a 4.3 rom may not restore on a 4.4 rom properly. Bugs or glitches may occur. Titanium backup works best when restoring to the same rom. If you experience bugs or glitches, perform a factory reset and refrain from restoring apps and data together. For the best experience, let all the apps install themselves from the Play Store. Then batch restore data to the apps that NEED data restored.
I'm already on 4.4... so I would think they would all be compatible... plus I just start ttb over, and the app that it froze on installs fine..
