Goodbye to this forum - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Few days ago I've got a Nexus 7 and I'll be focused more on it than SGM, so I guess I'm leaving Galaxy Mini forums. I want to thank you, guys for everything I've learned from here.
Galaxy Mini was my first smarthphone and my very first Android device. With your help, now I know what root, custom roms, Android itself and all stuff really mean.
Thank you developers, admins, moderators and you all and hope one day I'll come here to try a new custom rom on Galaxy Mini... Bye

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Mini gt-s5570

hi, i'm probably not posting in the right forum, but that's what my question is about lol
i'm probably buying the galaxy mini tomorrow, but the lack of a dedicated forum here on xda worries me.. are there custom roms for it? it uses roms from the bigger galaxy?
any help will be appreciated
Same for my girlfriend, but about gt-i5510 or Galaxy 551.
There is indeed still not much support for the Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570. There will come some though. I've started developing custom roms since a few days on a brand new Ubuntu Laptop.
Requiring C, and Java.
If you think you can be of any help, please do so Contact me by PM and we'll discuss it on MSN, Skype or what ever.

Thank you Xda For what i am Now!

Hello Xda,
I just want to day thank you for what i am today and i will wanna tell you a story about me so sit back and relax!
FEEL FREE TO POST YOUR STORY ALSO HERE!
How it all begon:
I started here in Januari 2012 and i started as a complete NOOB Lolz I have started modding and theming on The Samsung Galaxy Gio but i left that behind me after a couple of months, after that i think i will buy a tablet okay but what kind of tablet?
So have looked around on the World Wide Web Lolz! and i have found the Galaxy tab 8.9 it has pretty good specs Etc...
So i have buyed that Tablet and came back here!
My Development Story:
As i said i have started on the Galaxy Gio but have left that Behind me im am now working full on the Galaxy Tab 8.9 to make the Development community bigger and bigger.
I have started with just simply added and removed some apps and called that a custom Rom, but after some time i learned how to Port Rom's Build from source Theme stuff etc...
After a long time i have sadly lost my Ipod Touch 4Generation but lucky for me i had found a solution The Galaxy Player 3.6 Now i am also Developing on that device.
The last thing i want to say:
I have learned a lot of stuff here and i really like it here, i am not done here Yet Guys!
Sometimes i had some fights with some Xda members (I don't Call Names!)
-So Respect other Member's here
-Don't Steal other projects
-Do not Post WAREZ
-And Please Don't fight in Threads PM eachother and Talk Guys!
-You only Live Once Don't fight with eachother Just be Nice to eachother
That was it I hope you have learned something from me now!
Greetings Safariking!

Hi Safariking,
I am new to the forums and noticed in your sig that you are running a modded FW on your Galaxy player 3.6. I bought a Galaxy S wifi 3.6 at the weekend (which I believe to be the Euro version of the Galaxy player, with the hardware home button, model number YP-GS1).
I wonder if the custom firmware you are using would run on my unit and if so, where would I get it?
Also, are all of the players functions still, well, fuctioning!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Dave.

Introduction

Hello everyone,
Just thought I would introduce my self, I'm new to the forum and playing around with Android.
I've always loved Android and have always wanted to customize and build my own ROM someday, so what better place to come and get help than here.
I currently have an S3 Mini, it's a great little phone and has never missed a beat. I have soft bricked it a few times trying to learn how to do things, but hey it still works fine
Thanks for reading,
Antony

Hi, everybody!

Hi everybody,
My main reason to join is to see if I can install Android 11 on an old Samsung J5. Years ago I installed Cyanogenmod on a Samsung S1 and I was already impressed by the great work you guys were doing here! I am very curious to find out what is possible nowadays. Maybe even see if I can help out and see some more of the programming part one day.
Cheers!

Hello and welcome to XDA!

Hi, nice to be part of this community

Hi, I'm Bela.
I have been following the XDA community for years but until now I had never considered joining to become a member.
I hope in time to be able to help someone, even if I'm not that experienced.
I have 3 Samsung devices, an S3 Neo with Lineage OS 18.1 Official, an S8 currently with Stock Rom and a Samsung S6 where I currently flash the Ultimate Nougat S8 +
Sorry for my bad English
Nothing to be sorry about! Welcome Bela! Sorry it took so long for someone to respond here. I still bid you a very warm welcome to the XDA family
