Hello,
I'm having a serious battery drainage don't know if this is normal but I lost like 7% in 15 minutes of Web browsing and this is my second HTC One. I first had 801e and then switched to 801n because of no LTE on the first one but the battery drainage is serious.
I am using power saving and juice defender, Android tweaker 2 is set to power saving profile. I have Android Revolution HD latest KK release and Elementalx kernel latest performance release too. But even before I flash the kernel the battery was dying real fast and I'd have to plug it like twice a day or whenever I can to make sure it doesn't die in few hours.
Please help!

Could someone tell me how battery life on Android Revolution HD 3 fares compared to that on CyanogenMod 7.1, the ROM I am using.
I want to try an ICS Sense ROM and ARHD 3 seems to be the popular choice. I am anxious only about the battery life. During 7-8 hours of sleep time at night, my phone usually drops 2% (background data off) to 8% (background data on). I am happy with that. If ARHD 3 takes way much more, I might stick to CyanogenMod.
Looking forward to your comments and such.
You might want to wait until source drops and custom kernels are released
A lot of what you mentioned is reliant on the kernel as well as the ROM I find ice cold has good battery
CM 7 was good for me, I used kaijura's ICS kernel which has UV support

CM7 battery life wonderful..
Android Revolution HD a low battery is going to I need days to recharge.
Thank you guys!
Could someone tell me how much battery ARHD3 takes per hour approximately in sleep mode with only internet data on?
10?

I've been using Sabsa Prime and the battery seems to drain quickly and I'm wondering what rom would be good for battery?
I'm using Nik Project X 4.1 and I get average battery: I can get 3 days of battery with normal usage (Wifi + Music player). I used to get 5 days of battery easy with Nik Trinity Sensation XL but I'm looking for a ICS rom with good battery life.

it really depends on where you are, what socket do you have, etc. But what i know excactly - non sense roms are much better about battery than sense one's. i've used miui, now using jelly bean - it's really better

Lying to this people is not nice, there's no way you can make it lasts for 3 days even if you don't use it at all, no matter which rom you are using. Not to mention 5 days.
I'm not sure who're you trying to lie to, us or yourself?
Or maybe you have 2 batteries connected together...

Okay, maybe not really 3 days or 5 days full but almost near that. For ICS I could get 2 days + 12 more hours then it goes to zero. For Trinity XL GB rom, I could get 5 days (well 4 days + 8 hours) because of the deep sleep mode.

Read your posts, 3-5 days with normal usage (wifi+music player) and that's not deep sleep, but even if you leave it in deep sleep no way to pump it up to 5 days or 4d+8h.
Or maybe I'm wrong, but I've never seen a smartphone with battery life like yours. Maybe you should go to HTC and offer your services, cause you'll make them a top smartphone seller as the first smartphones manufacturer that makes them with 5-days battery.
god I'm lucky to get 15 hours with normal usage on ICS\JB.
The best ROM I've found for battery life was CM7. When I go on holiday I always roll back to it
I managed to get a whole week on Android Revolution. I cleaned up almost all default applications, set low screen brightness, used Nova as a launcher, turned off the glamorous animation effects and blocked all data transfer (except for an hour per day, when I turned WiFi on, checked my mailbox and read news feeds). This profile is not really convenient for everyday usage, but it is suitable when you travel.
After try so many roms, I think there are 2 roms -- stock and arhd4.
I am using arhd because battery usage is almost the same as stock rom but it is a bit faster (not oc). My normally usage, this 2.5 years old machine can take up to 36-40 hours.
From my captured battery usage picture.
Screen on: 2 hrs
Auto brightness
Wifi always on
3g: 4 hrs
Voice call: 30 mins

I get a decent days worth from Sabsa, I don't expect it to go on much longer than a day and I charge it every night, but I can leave data on to auto sync, and make/take a couple of calls etc and I get by OK.
I've been running it for a long time now, it's settled down and is functional.

5hours and 12minutes of screen on time is pretty good, in my opinion!! Where's the drain you're mentioning, oh and Clash of the Clans eats battery pretty quickly.
I'm on ARHD 13.3 and definitely can't get 5 hours of screen on time.
EDIT: if you want even more battery time, you may want to try a custom kernel such as ElementalX, bulletproof, team7
I'm using MaximusHD sense based rom and bulletproof kernel, battery life is stunning. So trying a custom kernel maybe will help, you don't have nothing to lose/
Wow did I read the screenshots correct? 5 hours screen on time and 13 hours since the previous charge even with the apps sucking that much power?
I've tried a few ROMs, including Albinoman's CM11 (4/24 official and a few nightlies) CM10.2 (the newest October official, I forget the date ). So here's my question: Out of all the JB+ ROMs out there, which ones have you had the best experience with, in regards to battery life? Right now I'm running Albinoman's CM10.2.
Also, any battery life tips would be appreciated. Currently, I am doing the following:
LCD brightness turned down
LCD off when not in use
Wifi/GPS off when not in use
Processor slightly underclocked
Unnecessary/unused apps removed/disabled/stopped
Haptic feedback off
In all honesty, I think my best battery life ROM has to be albinoman's CM 11.

That's weird. When I flashed the 5/18 nightly last time, I sucked my battery dry in no time. Which release date are you on?

I have to agree with Isaac. I'm running the 5/15 nightly and my battery life has almost doubled with BT and GPS turned on. I just turned BT off and set location to "battery save" so I'm hoping to squeeze even more out of it.
Don't get too excited about my doubled claim. Prior to CM11 I was running Paranoid Android (Jellybean I believe) as my daily driver and would get about 6 hours of battery life on standby. With CM 11 I get around 11 hours with light use, the Vivid is just abysmal when it comes to batteries.
Now that MMS is working the only complaint I have is with the in call mute feature not functioning, but I can live without that for now. I plan on running CM11 as my daily driver for the foreseeable future.

You're the second person that's said the 5/15 nightly has good battery life. I'll probably flash it Monday.

Ain't that the truth. I'm sporting a 3500mAH extended battery and I get like 12 hours with light use. Can't wait until I can afford to upgrade and put the Vivid on a permanent leash. Maybe make a media server out of it.
Well I stand corrected. I'm still running the Albinoman 5/15 nightly (loving it) and over the weekend I conditioned the battery by running it dead and then overcharging it while it was turned off. I now get 24 hours on light usage and about 10 hours on heavy usage. I had tried this process on other builds and versions but this is the first time it's actually worked. The battery I'm using is the battery that came with the phone. I'm amazed!

Don't unplug it or turn it on once the charge indicator turns from orange to green. Keep it plugged in and offline for another 2-3 hours.
Hi all,
I've recently flashed SkyDragon's GPE v4.0.1 for the HTC ONE M7. I'm running Elementalx 15.1 GPE kernel. My battery doesn't seem to last as long as the other Sense ROMs I've used, with mainly the screen draining most of the battery. The screen has been on for approximately 3h 20min. Attached is a screenshot of my battery usage. I wonder if there are any tips to extend the battery life, other kernels etc.

Darker screen. No matter what I do, I always get 3-4.5hrs screen time on sense. Use better battery stats or gsam battery monitor to accurately see if the device has a rogue wakelock.

I know you already answered his question but, I must ask what ROM and kernel are you running on your M7. 3-4.5hrs is crazy battery considering I usually get 2.5hrs of SOT. I used to run CM-based ROM and now I am switching to Sense based ROMs because of stories of incredible battery. Need a suggestion as to which one to use?
I know our usage of the phone is different and apps and wakelocks also matter but plz tell me the ROM and kernel.

Nusense with nukernel. I sometimes switch to viperone. Both do pretty well. I get closer to the 4.5 mark if screen is completely dim. If brightness is up it is closer to the 3 hr mark.

Have you tried out ARHD? I am currently running the 93.0 version and my stanby time is really great (12 hrs have passed and at 77%), I don't use my phone a lot especially in school (mostly listen to music) so this is so much better compared to CM based ROMs were after 12hrs I would be at 58%. Thanks for the tip I will try out Nusense I really like santods ROMs for the M7, I kinda just went for the most regarded sense ROM which is ARHD and besides Sense 7 is good but I am fine with Sense 6.

Nusense has sense 7 version. I haven't tried ARHD as it wasn't compatible with the Verizon variant for a long time.
