Having a bit a problem. My phone is bootlooping while entering the OS but it's also bootlooping entering TWRP.
<phone details>
Unlocked
S-OFF
hboot 1.44
TWRP 2.6.3.3
I installed the latest nightly of CM11 and started to restore my applications. The phone got extremely hot during USB transfer and while TB was restoring. In the middle of the TB restore the phone rebooted and entered a bootloop. Attempting to enter recovery from the bootloader also results in a bootloop. It will get to the first 'TEAMWIN" splash screen then reboot.
I've tried reflashing recovery through fastboot but it still bootloops. I've erased cache through fastboot and then reflashed recovery and I'm still in the same boat.
I'm not exactly sure what my next steps would be. Any ideas?
What about flash recovery and then fastboot erase cache? Exact model of recovery?

Already done... Recovery is "openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7". One of the first things I tried.
Probably start from scratch. AS you are Soff, run a full ruu and see where it takes you

Attempting to run the RUU....
It's hanging with the progression bar at about the halfway point. It's been sitting there for 33 minutes at this point.
The phone had been acting weird before. That was actually the impetus to switch from ARHD to CM11. I'm wondering if there isn't an underlying problem with the storage.
So at this point it looks like i'm screwed.
I'm not going to be able to file a warranty claim since I'm S-OFF and unlocked which I can't change since I can't get into anything but fastboot.

Just reboot the phone and try again... RUU hang sometimes, should work fine on second try
I came back in the room and the screen was black. It will not power on or do anything.
In device manager on my computer it is showing QHSUSB_DLOAD...
So I'm guessing it's bricked?

QHSUSB_DLOAD -> hard brick, nothing you can do about it, and not your fault. off to repair for motherboard replacement, sorry mate.
That's a good thing maybe as now you can send it in for warranty!

Quick question and I'll probably get flamed for this...
Can someone point me to the correct Ruu to reset my phone and still be able to root it/install DamageR_finish rom?
I can't boot in to the device. All I get is the Black HTC logo screen. I CAN boot in to recovery.
Thanks!
Are you rooted? Use recovery to wipe the phone and flash whatever you want.

I've wiped everything several times, tried a Nandroid back up, and a few different Roms.
Still just seeing black HTC logo.

Never mind, I managed to Ruu.
I had to run the ruu once, it would fail out and restart the phone, then I ran the ruu again without unplugging and the PC picked up the connection.

Go to the H-Boot screen and it should show that if you push the "home" button to get into recovery. Go into recovery and format system, data, cache, and boot. Then, reflash a new rom or restore a nandroid. I don't know what you were doing to get into the situation that you are/were in.
The H-Boot searches for a HERCIMG.zip (Herc is for Hero CDMA), if you are S-on, I am not sure if you can even RUU or not (there is a thread about fastboot though). You might be able to though, but you are ok as long as you can get into recovery. If you can, follow those steps above (those are for using clockwork recovery) and you should be ok if you were only messing around with folders in the system. In fact, you might not need to wipe anything but just flash a new rom. Why not start fresh though?
Good luck! I would suggest getting S-off, it has saved me time and headaches.
thank you but...

Thank you but that is the problem i am having. i can and have flashed the ruu both threw the sd card and threw fastboot usb.
i can not get into recovery, when in hboot i hit the home button and the phone resets and stays on the first htc screen.
can you install "clockwork recovery" without the phone fully booting ?
or is there a way to get s-off without fully booting the phone

If you can fastboot then adb will work. Just do
Code:
adb flash_image nameofrecovery.file

Did the ruu load when you did it? It should show you all of the images loading on your phone. There should be a recovery image in it too. What recovery were you using when you this happened?

yes the ruu loaded , i wasn't using a recovery when this happened i simply reset my phone after i loaded a new service programming file on it. I have no idea what you mean by "It should show you all of the images loading on your phone." .
ok just to clarify to all people trying to help , flashing a new ruu dose not work, but i thank you all for the help and hope i can get this fixed.
So keep the advice coming
I am having the exact same issue (I think). Randomly in the middle of the night my phone rebooted. Now it only gets to the HTC boot screen and then reboots again.
I tried booting into recovery, but it just goes back to the HTC screen.
I did not recently flash any new ROMs and have been using the same version of CM7 for awhile now. I was using Clockwork recovery. Nothing I do can get past the HTC screen. I tried all the options suggested. I even placed a new recovery image on the sdcard hoping that would work.
Any more ideas?

Have you tried Booting Without your Sdcard? If that Didnt work, Try Copying Everything from your Sdcard to a Computer, then Delete Everything off your Sdcard! Then One by One Put'em back onto your Sdcard and see if you get Lucky?
Good Luck Bro!
Same happened to mine too.drained battery. Charged it but now only shows HTC screen not going to recovery. No SD doesn't work
guys please help ..
Hi guys, hoping one you can help.
I recently had my unlocked/rooted HTC One replaced after it completely died on me. Almost the exact same thing as what happen to this guy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295374
Anyway, I went to unlock/install custom recovery on my new One. Done the unlock process fine, I've always used ClockWorkMod but I decided I'd flash TWRP to try. Files were sent/written ok and everythig seemed fine. But when I try to boot into recovery it shows the "Entering Recovery" screen (with the red warning text at the bottom) for a split second, then it just reboots the phone... So I tried Flashing CWM instead, again process went as normal but still can't boot to recovery. Even flashed the stock recovery and still the same. Tried flashing CWM through Rom Manager, just gives me "An error occurred while flashing your recovery".
It's a 3uk phone and their is no RUU for it yet that I've seen, so I thought if I can get S-Off I can change CID and use a generic European RUU. This when I realised it's not rooted and as I can't get to recovery I can't root it that way. Tried using the "Perm Root" option in the All-In-One kit but that just throws errors back.
Also the TAMPERED doesn't show above UNLOCKED for me in bootloader.
Any ideas? I stumped
Thanks.
Anyone?

Yeah I had done that, before and after flashing.
Funny thing is this morning after a full charge (wasn't like it was flat last night, had at least 50%) it worked fine, fired up the bootloader and the TAMPERED had appeared and now it loads the recovery perfect... :/ Just rooted it and now I'm off to S-Off and super CID.
Very strange but it's working now so I'm not complaining.
Thanks anyway guys.
Hi I have the Developer edition 64Gb and I have this problem too...
Aparently the TWRP flash went well (I tried both ways, AIl in one kit and fastbbot ways) but I cannot get into recovery.
I erased cache and reflashed again but nope.
Since this phone comes unlocked I assumed that I can just skip those steps of unlocking it (am I correct there?) and went straight into flashing recovery but it does not seem to have worked.
Anybody has a different suggestion?
Thanks,
EDIT:
Never mind, I just waited few hours and tried again and it works
???
I recently tried to flash hd revolution rom and it said it install fine, but when my phone reset it went to the boot loader and it will no longer go to recovery or to the phone it is just stuck on the boot loader ( white ) screen can anyone help me get my phone working again

Ok, here is where I am at right now.
1. I reflashed TWRP
2. Did a recovery from my MAY back up
3. I am not able to load into the phone but not everything is loading and the screen is black and reboots after being on for more then 3 mins
4. I can now get into recovery fine.
so Should I just reflash the rom I was trying to flash or will I need to reload a stock rom to fix what ever I screwed up...

Right now I am in exactly in the same place. Anytime I try to reboot it goes straight to the fastboot screen, and I can't get past into either booting my phone, or into the recovery (TWRP) I've tried adb fastboot clear cache, looking for an RUU that works for mine [htc one - sprint 1.31.651.2, M7wls, S-ON, HBOOT-1.44.0000]and all I could find was an OTA). I was foolishly trying to flash the Orio One custom ROM but didn't double check things, and I think it erased my radio. AKA i super messed something up. Whenever I try to flash anything that looks like the stock RUU (i went to the htc dev site as well) it always comes back with an error: (bootloader) signature checking...FAILED (remote: signature verify fail). I've been researching it for a couple hours tonight but no luck so far. Hopefully tomorrow I can wake up with a clear mind and try to figure this thing out. If anyone has any advice, I'd much appreciate it.

Alright so for the past six hours I have been trying to make up for my mistake. I accidentally tried to flash the color os rom like most others and failed to read. I know stupid, right? Anyway, I cannot access recovery. It just goes to the HTC logo, says I can access bootloader, and I have s-on. However, I have tried to flash a new recovery image and it says okay everything worked and it still does the same thing. So does that mean I am no longer rooted? I just need to figure out a way to get a rom back to my phone, since obviously it erased everything on my sd card. Thanks in advance. Anything will help.
