Hi all,
Did anyone experience this? While using a bluetooth headset, after call ended, music will autoplay?
I'm using DELL BH200, and am on unrooted stock 2.3.6. No other music player installed, just the stock player.
Google around but unable to find a solution...
Anyway to disable this annoying autoplay?
Regards,
Silverbold17
Annoying autoplay?
You must be one of the few ones around who doesn't want this great feature.

Not that I don't want this feature, but auto play after every single call ended is really annoying...especially if you're using your BT headset for phone call purposes...

I had this problem with my Atrix and my Infuse. I use Bluetooth thru my truck stereo for all calls. I posted a request for help in the Atrix forums. Someone suggested using an app called Autorun Manager . I did not try it because I sold my Atrix soon after the request.
Hope this helps

Had seen this suggestion on other forum but it seems like Autorun Manager require ROOT access which I don't have on my stock 2.3.6...
May be a nonsense question or something but i thnk quite useful thing.
I am on lr9 and which has a feature of calling a person thru motion by selecting the name.
Now my question is that there is any way to we can be able to pick the incoming calls just putting our ears near to the phone.i mean by putting ears near to the phone the call shd pick it automatically.may be by using motion or any app.
Please suggest is there any way.

Is there anyone which can help or head me to a mod fo this.
Cant we use motion to pick incoming calls??i mean i dont even want to touch my phone and it shd be picked wen i put my ears near to phone.

I think there is no such app available
@OP
I'm not sure what your trying to imply, but on my Note, when I select one of my contacts.. and the contact info is on my screen.. when I raise my hand to place the phone to my ears.. the phone automatically calls that contact (the one displayed on my Note's screen)....
It's under Settings>Accessibility actually...Direct call...
Is this what your trying to ask for? or something else?
For answering calls through motion, you may try to check this app- called Smart Answer Call (not for free though and I'm not sure it works as intended but you can give it a shot) -- > https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wOSwiY29tLmhhcmRyb2NrLnNtYXJ0YW5zd2VyY2FsbCJd
No this isnt m asking.
It is same as your telling but m asking for incoming calls.
I mean just imag8ne how it will good to pick ur incoming calls by putting ur phone near to ear.i mean no need of touching, using motion It is possible but i dnt k9 how???

hey thanks doc... I'm not sure though what he is really trying to ask for but I'm pretty sure that app (Smart Answer Call) might be the one he is looking for...
Yes he clearly said, he needs application that can pick up calls by just putting device near ear, and application you suggest doing exact same job. I have used that app in past.

Well, for modding stuff.. there's no feature on that for now as each ROM has it's own feature.. for stock.. you need to request Sammy to have it package on the next firmware
anyway.. going back, you can try to post a Request thread under the Themes and Apps section.. and you have to wait and pray for a dev to notice your request and hopefully grant it...
Yeah, your request is kinda nice though but like I've said.. we have different custom ROMS out there for our Note.. and each devs has their own lists of features and priorities that they want to incorporate on their respective ROMS... it would be great if all of them can have this kind of a feature but then again, don't raise your hopes too high... each devs has their own set of priorities to attend to and your request might be on the very bottom end of it.
I have the Samsung Galaxy Note, the TMobile SGH-T879. I have not found an application and/or ROM combination that will allow me to record telephone calls without using speakerphone.
To be clear, I want to record both sides of a conversation on all incoming and outgoing calls without having to use speakerphone.
Has anyone here been able to do this on this particular phone? If so, exactly what did/do you use?
Call recorder app by skvalex. It works straight out the box using cm10 but if you are on a touch wiz rom you must first change the system to r/w before installing. Only downside is it is 10 dollars but is perfect and does exactly what you are asking for. You also need to be rooted.

I have someone else working on the phone for me and I will pass a link to this thread on to him.

I've been able to get nothing to work on a rooted but otherwise stock SGH-T879, which is supposedly different from the i717.

New (side-effect) problem from this ROM
It records calls just fine; but, a new problem has presented itself. The phone will no longer block calls in any call blocking program's blocked list. I have tried six call blocking programs, one of which worked before the custom ROM.
Does anyone have a suggestion for me?

Everything else works fine on the watch, but for some reason I can not call out. Every time I try to call out, it ends the call immediately. Anyone else having this problem? Is there something that I need to do to get it to work? It's weird cuz I can receive calls and get text, I can even send out text messages, just can't make calls through the watch.

Reset the Gear and see if that helps. May be a pairing with the Note issue if everything else is working.

There is another reason it might fail, same with any bluetooth device i have used so far with android. If there is no default app for calls ( if you have Skype for example or Google voice and are relying on it prompting you which to use for each call) then it might fail silently too. workaround is to set a default for now. Not ideal though as you loose the option of choosing. (hopefully the gear will get the same choice dialog that the parent phone has)

Did this end up working? I'm having a similar problem. I can make calls from the gear, but once they answer and the screen turns off on the gear I press the power button and it flashes on then off again. The only way to make it work is to immediately tap the top right menu button once the call is answered. Same problem when receiving a call too. Really frustrating when I can't end the call and look like a tool asking the other person to hang up or pulling out my phone to do so lol.

FIXED
Sorry to resurrect only thread yet found the solution. Had the same prob, tried the same things without results.
SOLUTION:
On your phone choose Settings -> Device -> Call -> Call Accessories.
It is called "Outgoing Call conditions", and it allows you to set it up so that you can make calls even if the device is locked.
This worked and hope this helps others who may have the same problem.
Sorry for the new thread but I wasn't exactly getting any attention in the other threads where i asked for assistance.
Without earphones, skype calls work fine.
However, with earphones, the other party cannot hear me. I have tried the Echo test, which failed as well. But the echo test works without earphones. I can even record audio with the earphones but it doesn't work on skype. I have tried with two different earphones and yet the same result.
Do any of you guys have the same problem on 5.1.1? It was fine on 5.0.2.

I can confirm this. Headset microphone is not working with Skype. It should be noted that I did not do factory reset after 5.1.1, perhaps that will fix things?

Wow this is actually a huge issue. Maybe skype hasn't been updated to support 5.1.1 or something?
And no, i clean flashed too. Didn't make a difference. You will also notice that the mic stops working the moment you enable video on viber -_- i tried two different firmwares and still the same problem

I'm using Oovoo to make video calls for now but skype really is better. And oovoo is more costly in terms of internet usage

+1
I can confirm this too. After 5.1.1 update on Z3C, I went mute on facebook messenger voice calls with headset.
I did the Xperia mic diagnostics, that went OK with headset, tried the echo123 on Skype with headset = no sound, without headset using the device mic, it was OK.
I tried several combinations of noise canceling / mic sensitivity settings with no success.
Luckily regular phone calls work with headset.
I bought recently Sony STH-30 headset to be sure it will work with Xperia phone.
UPDATE: I found a workaround, connecting headset AFTER establishing a call.
Please, confirm anyone if it works for you, thx

it worked for me. What I do is just let the other party answer me first (Skype) and then plug in the headset. But my question is how long will it be like this? my worries is I might destroy the headset plug. Would downgrading to kitkat solve it.

It has been solved with the latest update from Sony. The .1.200 firmware which is the latest one available now. Also, this update dramatically improves battery life. Reminds me of kitkat.
