[Q] No recovery mode - Galaxy S Advance I9070 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, first post here!
Recently I had a problem with my phone and tried to recover it. There was no recovery mode but only odin mode... so I installed the original rom through Odin.
After that I tried again to enter in recovery mode, but again only odin mode.
Now I can't root my phone or install a custom rom.
If anyone knows please help. Thank you!

Yes it works, but goes into "Odin mode", when in the past entered "Recovery mode".
Is there any rom I can install with ODIN that will bring recovery mode back?

If you enter download mode via CWM Manager (by CF), yes it is normal.
If you enter download mode via 3 buttons (vol down + home + power), you will see those texts again.

Honestly, I don't know.
Really people going into download mode doesn't start Odin.
You enter download and when in it you open Odin on your PC and connect USB to use Odin and download mode for flashing files.
Cwm is volume up +home + power until you see galaxy note screen i always hold until it shows a second time then let go and it boots cwm foe flashing rom zips etc..
What's the point of your post can i ask? What are you trying to accomplish with your phone?

You need to explain more... like what software you downloaded? From where did you download it? Is it a software or gt-i9070 firmware?
Sent using XDA Developers' App from my GT-i9070
its gt-i9070 firmware from sammobile but my phone is gt-i9070p
and the phone doesn't work
Hmm... I'm not an expert but I can try to help you... or ask shut_down instead...
I think you have bricked your phone... if its a soft brick then you need to be able to boot to Recovery... To check whether you can Boot to Recovery or not, Hold Volume Up Key + Home Button + Lock/Unlock Button (all at same time) to boot to Recovery or Download Mode... if it works then Reply me

"If it works" ? Thats not helping. You need to learn more my friend.
Anyways op just flash a 9070p rom through recovery mode and you are good to go. And i am not going to post any links to guides or shizz. Search yourself. Also do not pm me.

I know I need to learn more... am just trying to help others with the knowledge I already have...
I was also going to tell him the same thing you told...
To the OP (Mohammed Ghanem)...
If you can boot to recovery/download mode... that will be a good news for you... just go to sammobile and download i9070p firmware with proper PDA and region code and also download Odin.. (this will take some time)
Then connect you phone with your computer and boot your phone to recovery... then open Odin, flash the firmware...
This should fix your problem...

How is download mode inaccessible ?
Recovery and download mode are two different things. Recovery is in kernel. Dl mode is the bootloader. How in the world did you manage to mess the bootloader ?
Try pressing all the hardware buttons together. And make sure that the battery is working/charged.
Sami : As i already said, recovery and download are different things. Please get your facts straight or you will help someone to brick.

Put your phone for at least half hour on charger. After that press those buttons in the same time: Volume down, Home button (the one on the bottom of the phone, hardware one) and Power button. See if the Download mode comes up. Just like you did when you flashed this wrong fw.
@shaan: Lol i know the difference between Download Mode and Recovery Mode
I was telling the OP to try to go to any of them... I wanted to see whether he can access them or not... i assumed that he's rooted so i thought that he can obviously go to Recovery (as twrp is added to the rooted kernel here in xda)...
sorry if he or you misunderstood

Maybe it is not reseting our binary counter because we have locked bootloader.
Edit:
Samsung’s latest firmware disables the USB Jig binary counter reset, so the best thing to do after rooting your latest firmware is to install the old bootloader then use the Jig tool to reset the binary counter and remove the yellow boot up warning thingy.

Did you try to go to download mode? No in recovery. Same as you go when you installed that firmware.
You can do it yourself, he said that you lost your boot. So you can download your original firmware, and flash it with odin. As you did first time, with wrong one.

Blank Screen
I installed the wrong cwm on mine and when I tried to boot into recovery all I got was a blank screen, so I waited for a bit, then pulled the battery, turned phone on and nothing but a blank screen, tried getting into DL mode and nothing, but when I plug it into the PC, it wants to recognize as a modem instead. I think its toast, I even made a jig, tried getting into DL mode and nothing, the phone is on just no screen, it charges the battery when plugged into usb port but nothing on the screen. It had worked until I flashed cwm on it...
go to stock recovery
why don't you just enter into stock recovery and factory reset the phone , you can also flash the stock rom with odin after puting your phone in download mode . to go to recovery vol+ and vol- and power on the phone at te same time
Didn't you read? He has neither download nor recovery mode.

It's strange. VOL-DOWN + HOME + POWER combination should brings Ace to download mode, and VOL-UP+ HOME + POWER combination brings Ace to ramdump screen.
For flashing stock ROM purpose, Mobile Odin may help.

Yes, I can enter Recovery Mode. In fact, I was thinking about this, but I have no idea what custom ROM I should install.
Could any of you recommend me the easiest one to install?
Please, consider that my PC is very outdated, so I hope I don't have to install any software or download any heavy file.
I just want to go back to the stock firmware after I flash the custom one, so I don't care what feature the custom rom has.
Thank you all for your answers

Samsung Galaxy 5 "recovery-reboot loop?"

Dear people,
So i tried flashing my android phone with rashr and installing Android 6.0 marshmallow, so when i went into rashr and pressed "reboot into recovery mode on boot"
it keeps booting into recovery mode, although i have a black screen when it's in recovery mode and i can tell that it's on because the phone gets warmer the longer it's on.
I've honestly tried everything on the Internet, i think i even got some viruses on my computer now, is there anything i can do?
Or am i screwed? ;c
Thanks,
Alanaaya
