Battery drain in versions 4.2 and 4.3 of the android - LG Optimus Black

Hello guys, since I've tested some version of higher than 4.1 android, I have problems with the battery, I'm currently using the stock version (ICS), but the only ones that work with a good battery life is ICS and JB - 4.1
I'm sure it could not be any app I have installed, because even when I finish installing the ROM, the battery dies in a ludicrous speed!
I did a little test, with the phone idle for 2 minutes will be 1 percent of the battery, or the battery dies in less than 2 hours, making it unusable.
I took some pictures of the screen in the settings of the battery.
Please, HELP ME ! :silly:

[Q] Do I have the Android OS battery bug (Dark Knight 3)

I really like the Dark Knight 3 ROM, but the battery is dying so quickly.
Last night I left it fully charged and 9 hours later after I woke up the battery was on 60%.
Wifi/GPS/Data/Sync = Off
Screen = auto
If I play with the phone for like 1 hour a day and the battery is dying on less than 12 hours.
The battery section shows Android OS as the biggest consumer, which the cooker of the ROM said is only a visual bug:
1. Android OS battery bug. Because i took the settings apk from akop4.0.3. So its just showing wrong.

Maybe I should switch to another ICS ROM
Give it a few full charge cycles for the battery to recalibrate.

Hm, never heard of that. Recalibrate in relation to ICS or in general?
Because the phone is not new and has been charged the fair amount of times.
Most of rom developers recommend few battery charging cycles, before conclusion.
Noting matter how old is the battery.
My OS Battery bug is drastically lowered after I disabled google search, talk, plus and maps.
Of course, GPS, Wifi and Data is default OFF, 2G ON.
the android os bug in case of ICS roms is in name only.. meaning that it just shows with highest usage in battery stats but doesn't actually cause battery drainage.. this problem has been fixed in 4.0.4 version of ICS..
so that means your battery is being drained by some other app.. and ofcourse as mentioned above, if you have just flashed a new rom, give it a few charge/discharge cycle time.. if still not satisfied you can always try some other rom ... though I think DKv4 beta will be up soon.. and this thing is taken care of in that version

[Q] CM 10

Hello everybody When my battery is charged on display i see only 92% and battery drain very fast. when wifi is on for a couple hours and that's it i must plug charger on stock GB that's not case... also when i play games i got warning for low battery(14%) and after i leave phone battery goes to 22% And major problem for me is Calendar doesn't sync with contact birthdays
TY
GB is more powersaving ROM than JB is, so don't expect a better battery life using CM10. How long did your battery take to go completely flat using GB ROM?

Today i changed my sim card and took out battery twice. When i start phone battery drop from 54% on 14 % MEGA FAIL i use cm10.1 nightly battery sucks

Cm nightly is experimental version, so bugs like this are possible. I think you should try stable version of cm, for example : cm 10.0.0.
now i'm on cm 10

Hello !
Firstly, Wifi (and GPS) are very energy consuming, so yes, if your wifi is on and you are using it for a couple of hours, you may have no more battery left in the end. Maybe stock GB handle "wifi-sleeping" better than JB do (and as it has already been stated, JB consume much more than GB due to higher RAM usage (mostly))
Concerning the drop from 14% to 22%, it make sense for me since battery stat is also calcultated considering current and average usage, so if you were playing your phone think : "oh, I won't be able to handle this state for a long time", and after when you stopped it thinks : "ok, it was not that bad if things stay like this.

The battery is unstable after installing CM11

I installed the CM11-M9 in my NOOK HD+ last week. So far I have a good experience especially changing the runtime to ART. The only con is the battery becomes unstable compared to stock ROM. The problem I have encountered is battery drains extremely fast, from 100% to 60% within 1 hour and then drops to 1% about 30 mins. The weird thing is the battery still holds near 3.5 hours at 1% battery level. I tried to reinstall CM11 for but have the same issue. Anyone knows how to fix this problem? Thanks a lot!
Perhaps an app your using has a battery draining bug on kitkat that wasn't present on earlier versions.
You don't say if it occurs after a clean install of cm11 with no additional apps downloaded/installed.

CAn anyone suggest how to fix battery drain im on fxp Cm 12 02/09 and i turned everthing off and battery on low brightness. Also this happend before on other roms.NEEd a fix please reply fast:crying::crying:
What other ROM's did this happen on? Were they also Lollipop ROM's? I personally experienced this once on CM12, my phone went from 70-ish % to 1% overnight by doing absolutely nothing! My advice is to come back to Lollipop when it is more stable, it's way too buggy right now to be used as a daily driver IMO.

Install BetterBatteryStats from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 and you will see which wakelocks are draining your battery. If you read through that thread - or search for particular wakelocks - you will begin to understand what is causing the drain.
There is an almost infinite combination of use, ROM, phone configuration and apps installed (and occasionally malfunctioning), so it's impossible to give a useful response to your question.
That app will point you in the right direction, though. You need to install it as a system app (follow the instructions, reboot, then re-install the apk again), then leave the phone for 4-6 hours before reviewing the outputs.
